Part 1: The Strange Meeting

Mihir and Mihika are meeting in the evening as usual.

Mhir: Why are you so tensed Mihika

Mihi: Mihir akka is looking to buy a house. I want her to get the best. You know about the last house she got. She contributed enough and finally had to give it to Subbu for Adhi's custody. I want only good things to happen to her.

Mihir: Hey Mihika, don't worry. There is a house that is there in Bhai's society. Just opposite to Bhai's house. Why don't you suggest your akka. This way they can become neighbor and we can also get the approval on our relationship easily.

Mihi: Your are impossible. You are always bothered about yourself.

Mihir: Hai, that was on a lighter note. The house is very good. Why don't you suggest your akka to have a look.

Next day Mihika brings Ishitha's family and Adhi to see the house.

They like the house and Adhi goes out to check out the external ambience. He is looking at the lawns of the socity and doesn't notice a speedy car there. Ishitha who suddenly comes out yells calling Adhi' name. The speeding car stops suddenly. A handsome man steps out of the car and is in a tipsy state. Ishitha comforts Adhi and he tells it's his mistake and asks her not to worry. She goes in as her amma calls her.

The gentle men who stepped out of the car comes to Adhi. Did I hear your name right. Are you Adhi.

Adhi nods and smiles

Iam Raman Bhalla says the man. He shakes his hand and is deeply looking into Adhi's eyes. He is remembering his Adhi.

Hello uncle iam Adhitya Iyer. We are here to see this house pointing to the house they have come to see. When he didn't get any answer, he shook him

Raman came out of his thoughts and shook his hand and smiles.

Adhi: How are the other facilities and maintenance of this society

Raman had no clue and nodded with a sign of I don't know. Adhi shakes hand again and leaves. As Adhi's figure descends a small tear roll down Raman's eyes. He goes back to his car and picks the visky bottle he had and instructs the watch man to let the driver park the car.

Right then Ruhi who had been playing all along comes running and Ishitha also comes out of the house

Ruhi runs to Raman and hugs him. Raman is reminded of Shagun by the mole above her lips and its always he wants to be away from her. He jerks her off and shee is about to fall and Ishitha catches her in time. Ishitha who had witnessed him almost abpout to hit Adhi instantly develops displeasure for Raman.

I: Mr , how can you behave with a kid like this. She might get hurt.

R: Who are you to tell me that. Iam RKB, no one has a guts to talk to me. Iam her father , its my wish however I treat her. Who are you?

Isitha understanding that he is in a tipsy state doesn't want to prolong the conversation. Shakes her head in a feeling a disgust and Raman leaves from there. She turns her attention to Ruhi.

I: Beta are you fine

R: Yes aunty

I what's your name

R: iam Ruhi

I: how old are you

R: what does that mean

I: when is your birthday

R: its 10^th Dec 2008

Ishitha is shocked and is not answering anything

R: aunty kya hua

I: Kuch nehi, take care bye beta

Saying that she turns around and wipes her tears. She gets into a thought.

Flash back

Congratulations Mrs Ishitha Subramanium, Your are pregnant with your second child. This is the scan report. It's a girl. Due date is in dec. Ishita sees the scan report and touches the baby. She feels very elated. She is alone as Subbu never accompanies her to hospital. She touches the due date 10^th Dec 2008.

Home:

S:We don't need this child. Abort it.

I: its not the fault of the child. If we didn't want it we must have been careful. Why are you making me do this

S: If you really want peace in this house athis must be done. I cannot bring up 2 children with my current financial status. If you have a child you might have to take leaves. Go on LOP what will we do for money.

I: We are not in such a state subbu, please understand

They have huge argument and finally Subbu takes her to the doctor and aborts the child and leaves her all alone to bear the pain of abortion all alone in the house. While Adhi was with Ishitha's parents.

Mihika: Akka what are you doing here. When Mihika shook her she came out of her thought. Wiping her tears says nothing seeing the outside ambience. I think this house is good. We must take it. Whats appa and amma' s opinion. Saying so they go into the house.

Part 2:

A new beginning

Everyone in the iyer family like the house. It is the last house left in the colony to be sold. Opposite to the house is the house of RKB. It is the biggest villa in the whole colony.

Ishitha has applied for the loan and the same was approved. She had some savings from her travel aboard in these 2 years which also she used. They had shifted Adhi to a good school nearby. They moved in with in a month.They performed grahapravesh in traditional masrasi style which was irritating Mrs Bhall as they were doing it early in the morning. However she didn't fight. But starting getting irritated with the next door family.

Mr Iyer and Bhall meet during an eveniong walk and become friends. Ishitha is quite busy in her work and has not met Ruhi after the first day. One day when she is walking in the night she seeing Ruhi sitting and crying outside the house. Her heart goes out for her and sits next to her.

I: Ruhi, kya hua baby

R: Aunty app

I: Hai beta bolo

R: Today we had parents and teachers day in school. All children come with their parents but I went with dadi. My friends made fun of me.

I: But why is your mom not well nd what happed to your father

R: I have not seen my mom. Dad never talks to me, so he doesn't come.

Tears roll down Ishitha's eyes. She tries to tell something and makes Ruhi smile. She then takes Ruhi along and walks around the colony and makes her play in the play area.

Mean time Mrs Bhalla is worried not finding Ruhi and comes in search of her. When they hear her call Ruhi Ishitha turns

I: She is here

M. B: Why did you come here Ruhi

I: Sorry aunty I got her here.

M. B: how could you bring her without our permission?

I: Iam sorry, she was crying and I wanted to divert her. However it's my mistake

M. B: Tik hai puttar, Its ok. Ruhi Puttar chall abhi dinner karna hai. Tum kai ho, kis ghar me reh thi ho

I: aunty mai apke ghar ke samne rahathe hu

M. B: woh Madrasee ke ghar. Tik hai, mujje log Toshsi bolathe hai

I: Namste aunty, mera nam Ishitha hai

They leave to their respective house. While walking back Ishitha tells Ruhi.

I: Ruhi Beta app roz is time me dinner karlena mai apko walking karne le jaunge , aunty agar apko buran a lage toh

M B: No problem beta le jana agar Ruhi ka man kare toh

R: Mai cha;unge

I : tik hai then done deal. See you tomorrow.

Next morning Raman had an important meeting and had to go to office at 6 AM. He sees Adhi again. He is moving in his tennis attire to his class. He tries to meet him

R: Good Morning dude, how are you?

A: Hello uncle how are you? By the way I didn't get your name

R: Iam good dear, how are you? Have you moved in here? By the way iam Raman Kumar Bhalla.

A: Ya we moved in here. It's a week since we moved in. Getting settled.

R: Where are you going?

A: Playing tennis

R: Whom do you play with?

R: I have a coach in the evening, but mostly in the morning I practice and I am left to play alone. Iam looking for a partner.

R: What about your father dude, he doesn't play with you?

A: little silent gets reminded of the days when he used to play with Subbu, and says No.

R: Ok then Shall I be your partner from tomorrow. I also love playing tennis. You can call me Raman uncle dear

A: wow that's so good. So lets meet each other at 6 AM sharp from tomorrow. Bye for now.

As Adhi leaves Raman feels delighted, and remembers how he used to play with his Adhi. He shakes his head and gets into the car to leave.

That night Ishitha is taking Ruhi for a walk and they sit in the bench of the park for long and she tells her different stories and Ruhi doses off. She brings her leaves her with Mrs Bhalla. Mrs Bhalla feels very happy as she sees Ruhi in Ishitha's arms.

Mrs Bhalla: Thanks youn putar. Ruhi ko tum ne sula diya, yeh toh bhut vadiya kam kita. Tumhare bache hai

I: Ji aunty, ek beta hai. 11 years. Adhitya hai uska nam

M B: Adutya, mera pote ka nam bhi adhi tha

I: Toh aunty Ruhi ka bhi bhi hai

M B: Nehi Beta , abb who nehi raha, ek accident me chal basa

I: Iam sorry aunty.

M B: wiping her tears. Tik hai puttar kai bat nehi. Tunhare pathi ko nehi deka

I: Hesitantly who aunty , me divorced hu aunty. Mai apne mummy , papa meri behen ke saath reha thi hu .

M > B: Sorry puttar. Vaise ek gal dasa, mera beta bhi divorces hai. Ajkal shadhi itne toot rahi hai kya kare. Koi nehi. God always does everything for good. Shall I ask you for a help

I: Tell me aunty

M.B: Please spend time with Ruhi more if you can. I had seen her happy today after so many years

I: Sure aunty. I would love to do it. I will go now. Good night.

While she is leaving he meets raman who is not in a state to stand and is about to fall. She holds him and trues to put him on to the couch. He shouts in anger.

R: Who are you? What are you doing in my house. Mrs Bhalla comes hearing the nose and signals Ishitha to leave. She speaks to Raman

M B: Raman ajj tu jaldi agaya. Kana lagavu.

R: Hai ma, kal subh mujje teniss kelne 6 o clock jana hai.

M B: As she serve him dinner, Tennis , enne salo baad. Kya bat hai putttar

R: Ma, who hare pados me ek ladka aya hai. Uska nam Adhi hai. 11 sal ka hai. Jab bhi use dektha hu, mujje hare Adhi yad atha hai. Issliye mai uske saath kelne ja raha hu. Bada pyara bachha hai. Pur uske papa ko tennis pasand nehi hai shayad.

M. B: Puttar his father is not there.

R: what do you mean ma

M. B: the lady whom you bumped when you came in is Ishitha his Mother. She is diovorced. I think his father doesn't live with him

R: Woh that's why he was upset when I asked him about his father. Ok ma I will sleep now. I really feel like spending time with that boy.

Mrs Bhalla is very happy seeing her son getting feeling in his heart. It was an unsual sight after so many years.

From next day raman used to play tennis with Adhi every day and Ishitha used to spend time with Ruhi every day. Slowly Raman and Adhi and Ishu and Ruhi were getting closer to each other. Mrs Bhalla and Mrs Iyer have also become frineds by then.

In genral the Bhalla family had been very famous in the whole colony and people had tonnes of talk about Raman's Divorce and his attitude. He was a good singer and had always been performing in the functions of the colony until his divorce. His participation decreased to nil nowadays. Ishitha and her mother are also a good singer. Classical Carnatic music singers. Mrs Iyer became famous as she started teaching small songs to middle aged women and elderly people in the colony.

Part 3 : In this story music and kids are going to be binding force for Ishitha and Raman.

There is going to be aug 15^th celebration in the colony. Ishitha and Raman are going to perform individually.
