Part 5: The Realization

Ishitha directs Ruhi to the play area and waits for her to leave.

I: Mr Bhalla mind your tongue yelled Ishitha. What do you think about yourself? I was quiet on the other day doesn't mean that I will be quiet always. Do you think only money matters in this whole world? If you do so then I think you are wrong. There are other things as well which people value in this world. Now I really know why your wife left you. If you had a bad experience with a women in your life and were deceived doesn't mean all women are bad.

R: How dare you, don't dare talk about my personal life.

I: When you dare to talk about my personal life even without knowing anything about me why must I not talk about your personal life. Mr Bhalla you spoke about my past today told ever ever talk about it again. You cannot even imagine in your dreams what can I do if you try to interfere in my life. There might be women who woo you for the money that you have. I am not one among them. I respect myself to a great extent and I am capable of handling my life alone. I don't need so called companion. And regarding Ruhi, I feel pity for that girl longing for love and I spend time with her. If you think, I am trying to influence Ruhi to get into your like you are mistaken. By the way you also try to get closer to my son, even I can accuse of getting into my like Mr Bhalla. So when you know I am treating you with respect so be in your limits.

R: Me trying to get into your life? Ha that's the joke of the millennium. Have you ever looked into the mirror? You are not beautiful, you don't even have a status to stand in front of me and you think Raman Kumar Bhalla wants to get into your life? How funny.

I: Mr Bhalla, I don't need your certificate on my beauty or my financial status. I empathies with you that you try to search your son who is no more in my son. So I never compliant to you about it. All I am trying to tell you is I am not bothered to get into your life. You know what no women can live you. No wonder your wife left you. You are a bloody heartless drunkard. You are not a human being at all.

Raman raises his hand and is about to hit Ishitha. She boldly holds his hand and since he heavily drunk he falls on her. He manages to place him in a chair next to them. Ishitha's colleagues are looking at the whole scene. Ishitha feels very embarrassed. Ruhi comes back by then.

R: What happened to papa aunty.

I: Beta papa had some medicines and he is tried and he will sleep here. I will take you home don't worry.

Ishitha excuses herself from her official colleagues and calls Mrs Bhalla and informs that Raman is tally and fainted. So she is getting Ruhi back home and Mrs Bhalla to call Raman's driver to tend to him.

Ishitha reaches home by 12 in the mid night and leave Ruhi with her grand mom. She informs her mother about all that happened.

Next morning Adhi is getting ready to practice tennis and intend to speak to Raman at least today. When he comes down he hears Mrs Iyer telling about the last night's incident to Mr iyer and he hears his grandfather blasting Ishitha.

Mr Iyer: I told you to stay away from that girl. Now even your office people know. What kind of embarrassment is this? Why the hell you need to get into others life. Can't you just stay cool? You are women and in this society women get defamed soon. Men can have affairs and that can be true. Still no one will point them out, but it's not the same for a women.

Ishitha is full of tears and gets dejected and goes into her room crying. Now Adhi is all the more determined to talk to Raman and is very angry with him for hurting his mother.

Raman doesn't turn on that morning as well as he is still in the resort only under hang over. Adhi becomes very depressed.

It's almost noon and Raman comes home and he is still not got out of hangover.

Mrs Iyer sees him. She moves towards him and starts confronting him.

Mr Iyer: Are you satisfied now Raman. I thought you have a bitter past and you will not dare to hurt anyone but I was wrong. What did my daughter do to you? She just was caring to your daughter. Was that her mistake, you defamed her in front of everyone. In the office that didn't know about her divorce for past 2 years you announced royally. She is a women, now just imagine about her safety in the work place. You created a ruckus in the society on the other day. Her own father bad mouthed about her, now are you happy. Do you feel contented? Let me tell you one thing, my daughter never valued money. In fact she gave her years of hard earned money to her selfish husband to gain the custody of her son. She is living a decent life on her own abilities. She doesn't need your money. Let me tell you why she is attached to your daughter. The birthday of your daughter is the same as the due date that was given to her second child. She was also a daughter and her husband mercilessly aborted her second kid siting reasons of their financial status. Her husband was using her to gain his financial status and she is trying to come out of her painful past after her divorce and you reminded all of it yesterday. I hope you must have great deal of satisfaction now after spoiling my daughter's reputation and peace of mind. Iam a good friend of your mom and when I heard your story I was really feeling bad for you. But just because your past if you shatter the current life people around you that's not a great approach to life Raman. Iam very sorry to say I indeed feel now that you no longer have any human qualities. Saying so Mrs Iyer turns around to leave.

Raman feels very guilty about his behavior and holds Mrs Iyer's hand to say sorry. He says the reputation that he has shattered he will for sure get her back and he feels very sorry for his behavior. Even Mr and Mrs Bhalla scold him for his behavior. He intends to speak to Ishitha in the next possible occasion. He realizes that Ishitha is a great woman after listening to Mrs Iyer.

Next morning he goes to play with Adhi. Adhi is very furious at him. He blasts him saying that he will not play with him hence forth and doesn't even what to see his face as for him his mother is everything and the father whom he used to love he never turned back to because he hurt his mother. He further adds saying I resemble my father so much in looks and behavior and she stills loves me in spite of the difference she has with him. I don't know what the problem between them was, but I choose to be with my mom. She is everything for me and I cannot be a friend with a person who constantly hurts her. Saying so Adhi leaves from the place to start his practice alone.

Raman is astonished by the love of the kid towards his mother. He feels she is also reminded of her partner who cheated on her when she sees her son. But still she loves him; I must seek inspiration from her and start loving my Ruhi. She was right, my Ruhi definitely needs love. I need to reconcile with Ruhi, but before that I need to apologize to her.

Part 6: The friendship and hour of crisis

Ishitha being troubled by one of her company colleague, he comes to the society following her. Raman saves her from him.

Raman apologizes to Ishitha. Friendship blossoms between them. Mr Iyer is not happy with this

Subbu sends a court notice to Ishitha claiming Adhi's custody saying she is a characterless woman. Ishitha breaks down.
