Welcome to the thread. Glad to see you regularly here. 😊 Liked your Chandamama story about Sage Narad and Lord Vishnu. Reminded me of my childhood days when we used to get Chandamama regularly.

@All

Would like to convey my thoughts on the extent of Arnav's relationship with La. Indi and all others who think that his relationship with La was physical, I will not disagree with you and the reasons that u point out. But, still I would like to be with the section of people who feel otherwise.

Honestly, I never thought about this aspect of Arnav's life till the debate came out during the Sheetal track. By that time, Arshi had gone thru a lot, and at that point wondering about ASR's virginity for the first time was a bit uncomfortable for my conservative heart. They should have been clear about it early on, so that people like me would have been prepared. But, nevertheless, I went thru all the points of everyone and concluded that though ASR's character was meant to be dark, they never really showed him sleeping around not even with La and gradually by the time the Sheetal track came about they concluded that there never was anyone before Khushi. Till then, somehow, the makers always kept the viewers guessing about this. As I'm watching the episodes again, I feel the makers were managing to keep both parties happy. So, I decided to choose one, that is, as far as La is concerned, he did not have a physical relationship. My reasons:
  • First of all, this is a fiction. And, we are treating this as a fairy tale love story of our times. So, if we can believe the dhak dhaks, sensing each other and reading each other's mind, what's the harm in keeping ASR safe for Khushi. 😆
  •  The idea of live-in was thrusted upon ASR, the reasons for why he went ahead with it, we know. He was actually happy with the situation before that with La as a so called girlfriend, so that no one bothers him about it. We didn't even hear about ASR spending the nights at La's place too.
  • It was always La trying to kiss him, hug him. We've never seen ASR leaning towards La for the same or holding her by her waist or anything of that sort. If they were physical, irrespective of love involved or not, there would be such mannerisms towards La indicating that they are close on a physical level. But, he hardly did any of those.
  • I won't say ASR was against intimacy, he never was. But, I would like to believe, that the few times he may have tried to, DM interrupted and prevented him from completing the act. (😆, I know, crazy me and you all are laughing. 🤣.) But, what's wrong in assuming something which appeases my heart. 😃

After all, as I said, this is just a fiction. The makers omitted showing a lot of things. The rest was left for our assumptions. So, I would like to assume this as it pleases me. 😃 .

Still lot of things to point out, but will do so later, when time permits.

hey durga, love your little debate on the issue of sex and asr and la. you are right, this is fiction and we all are somewhere allowed to believe what we want to believe. and since nothing was made explicitly clear (i though heard it loud and clear in bina shadi ke sab kuch karte hain, and his complete comfort with her living in his room), we are all free to see it our way.

and really to me , it doesn't matter.

but i have never believed having sex before marriage can be equated with sleeping around in the most negative sense.

secondly, i have known pretty wild people grow up and become interestingly monogamous. so all taht comes into play for me.

i adore what you say up there in pink. yes yes yes, dm surely stepped in and interrupted la and asr every time. if she could send di/hp/op/jp whenever asr got just a little close to khushi, how could she not step in when those two tried anything.

adorable answer. virginity used to be a big deal for me at one time. my daughter is 12. think i don't think about all of this? 🤗

A lovely quotation to start 79 unless pain is there how will you appreciate love and a love after a tragedy is so intense somuch more meaningful
episode 79

"gayi."

khushi spun around as she heard asr's voice. a second ago, anjali was standing there, but now this terrifyingly angry asr. a chilling expression, striking fear in the heart.

his voice had a cold flatness to it, burnt at the edges by something. what was it?

"kya sochke tumne mera phone kata tha... tumhe toh lagta hai bolne ka haq sirf tumhe hai... hai na?" silver voice... argentum ascending. what were you thinking when you disconnected my call? you must be thinking only you have the right to speak. a cold flow of anger.

just minutes ago he sat at the table by his sister, grim and upset about the whole marriage fracas. in fact, it had impacted him so deeply he had a splitting headache. this was unlike him. asr... rugged, robust, ready to take on anything. and now suddenly a serious attack of migraine, his eyes almost losing focus at the gnaw of the throbbing ache.   A commitment he did not want to make as yet he has not found the girl he wants to commit himself  😉

of course, somehow barun made it look all so real, facial muscles slackening, eyes going numb, head not so firmly held, i wanted to go give the fellow a massage. (see i did want to become a nurse and it's only that instinct which made me think that, okay?)

i'd been wondering about his reaction to shaadi talk. i understood that he was contemporary in thinking and the tragedy at a very vulnerable age had laft an ugly impact. akash had said as much to khushi the night of the rain. i could hear him vehemently state that marriage was not a thing he believed in. yet, couldn't really understand why. something more than just a dislike of a tradition that holds no meaning for him.

"tumhe achanak ho kya gaya hai..." he exclaimed to lavanya. what's happened to you all of a sudden? he was tired, the day had brought things he was completely unprepared for and which seemed to touch a raw nerve.

"subah tum mere liye chai lekar aayi. aur wo bhi aise kapdo mein jaise wo... pause, clench jaw... khsuhi kumari gupta pehenti hai" you brought tea for me in the morning, and that too wearing clothes like that khushi kumari gupta.

he just couldn't keep it all in, a spate of words as he took off his waist coat, and la stood by with his towel and change in her new found churidar kameez look. he admonished her every marriage oriented move. she kept quiet... and suddenly his anger collided with a strange frequency.

"react dammit, answer me." he whirled around and flung the words at her.

to la's credit, she didn't cower. in fact, she asked him what was the problem with marriage, they were living together anyway, so what was the issue in taking the relationship to its logical end and giving it a name.

somewhere in the middle of her last sentence, his eyes went icy cold licked by fire. had i been la, that would be the cue to ruin, but today she was determined. sometimes she was just all la, her own person, her own ideas. like when she paid for khushi's pizza without fuss, almost generous in her approach. she is the well loved other girl of IPK and Sheeal the most hated.

"iss baare mein mujhe dubara baat nahin karni." am not going to talk about this again. he slammed the door shut with his words. la took the cue from his rage, showed some of her own as she threw down the towel (oh oh was there a visual pun there by the makers? funny guys) and left.

all i could feel was a grating kind of pain trickling around inside the frame, threatening to blow it to bits. then at the table, in di's words, just a hint. she knows chhotey hates marriage, but he must understand that their mother and father -

he cut her off mid sentence. no, he didn't want to talk about that. finally, i began to understand. so the objection to marriage was really to do with his parents' experience. and recalling it, or going anywhere near it was just hard on him. for the last couple of days it had been nothing but marriage talk. the girl he thought he could trust and have a relationship with where both wanted the same things, was suddenly hell bent on something that only hurt him.

hurt. extreme hurt. and unresolved pain.

that was what it was all about. he could never bring himself to say it in so many words, but this was what was wearing him down. he just didn't want to go there. by 80, we knew the added layer of struggle and churn within. it was just a day before his parents death anniversary. he anyway was vulnerable, fragile. on top of that, this incessant band baja barat talk.

"feelings are disturbing. people are taught that pain is evil and dangerous. how can they deal with love if they're afraid to feel? pain is meant to wake us up. people try to hide their pain. but they're wrong. pain is something to carry, like a radio. you feel your strength in the experience of pain. it's all in how you carry it. that's what matters. pain is a feeling. your feelings are a part of you. your own reality. if you feel ashamed of them, and hide them, you're letting society destroy your reality. you should stand up for your right to feel your pain."
~~~ jim morrison ~~~
 Lovely quotation before reading this I put my thoughts on pain on the top
he had tried to take matters in hand. threaten khushi into submission, and get her to stop brain washing la, but khushi was not in a mood to talk to him. when she walked in this morning, despite that headache, he tried to talk to her. again she escaped into the kitchen.
interestingly, the screenplay presented a topsy turvy scenario. pain at one end, prank at the other. somehow it worked. made both seem keener, and further etched the characters.
here was a man in deep and utter pain. his entire being in the grip of a trauma. his every word taut, torn from him almost. nothing light about him or in the air that shuffled around him, hushed and quiet, mindful of his state of mind. the air and his di, they seemed to be the only ones who knew he suffered.
then there was khsuhi. she had no notion whatsoever of the state he was in. to her, he was being his usual laad governor, rakshas self and trying to scare her so that she'd stop her shaadi plans. she was not keen to get into a scuffle with him, and her startegy was to flummox the adversary and get out of all tricky situations with her ajeeb khushi strategies. first the phone games. then the avoid at the table.
but now. now what? he stood in front of her, and for a second it looked like there was no escape.
then she dropped the container of flour. on purpose.
a loud noise, and a burst of white powder, rising like a geyser, spattering his face, his clothes. hot tea the other day, dry powder now. he flinched and turned away, felt as though this had hurt more than the scalding beverage. a pent up emotion tried for release but lay trapped in a suffocating container somewhere.
mamiji walked into the kitchen.
he sneezed. "gaad bilass, arnav bitwa." a few saucy mami comments about cooking kilass being taken by him and again asr had to walk away without saying what he wanted to.
but he did turn to look at her once more. why? because he was angry? because he was hurt? because he just had to? maybe a bit of all of that? certainly a threat in his look, he's going to get her.
today everything was in his voice. and that curiously moist eyed, not so taut face. a searing in the timbre of his voice, a fragility on his face. there was a loneliness in him taht felt devastating. a distance from all around him. this song has come ffrom nowhere and been playing in my head ever since i saw 79 and heard 80. the last stanza... patthar ka ashna mile/patthar ka devta mile/sheeshe ka dil liye jaaoon kahan, reminded me of him. not that he didn't have a dil, just that it was so very fragile.
a few snapshots from 79
1.
"aap?" you?
"haan main, kyun? meri awaz sunke kaat dogi." yes, me, why?  hearing my voice you'll slam the phone down? he's terse and clipped and dare i say, hot. those camera movements, picking his every expression and reflection, makes him look hotter still. it's like looking at him through a kaleidoscope. maybe a hint of that fragmenting within him, part of him falling to pieces, trying to stay together?
2.
"aap bolte rahiye
," keep talking, in a sweet voice.
"bakwas band karo," stop the nonsense, a sour rejoinder.
"tumhe kya lagta hai... tum koi bhi patti padake lavanya ke shaadi ke baare mein khayal badal dogi... tumne samjh kya rakha hai hume," what do you think, you can fool lavanya into buying into your marriage idea... who do you think i am. gosh, he sounds like a mogul, haughty and sexy.
"ha ha hum kal aayenge na aur kal hum aapko aur bhi cheezen sikha denge, jaise karwa chauth, navratra ke rasm, suhagan ki cheezen, sab kuch sikha denge." yeah i'll come tomorrow and teach you many things, about karwa chauth, navratra, rituals for married women, teach you everything. she's chirpy... making sure her parents think all is well, it's only her eager student calling.
"what." flat and uff deadly.
3.
she offers shyam ticket money. shyam is upset. the hurt act. and then the cute cup of tea chicane. well, hope when he is ready to have it, she gets him a nice hot cup and pours it on his head.
4.
gaon ki gori attack, la with food in chamkili wear. i have made for "aap" food with my own hands. this oft heard hindi movie line, usually offered by sultry village belle to her grimy farmer husband under a hot sweat inducing sun, always has me wondering. if not with your own hands you will cook, then with whose? why is "i've made it" not enough? milad, point note kiya jaaye.
5.
a father and a loving daughter. she is alive to his every thought and need. he is not looking relaxed, very worried. she must assure him all will be well. he mustn't feel bad that she's working. yes, she is not their real daughter, but they are everything to her. oh, khushi never can quite forget that her family adopted her when she became homeless. which is why perhaps she always tries harder, always wants to give, to make it all alright for everyone. endless love and gratitude for her people. perhaps just a slight bit of insecurity too. by 81 we know, just as she feels that extra bit of responsibility toward her father, mother, sister, aunt, so does her father feel it toward her. he is aware that because he is not her biological father, he must be extra cautious in making sure all goes well with her life. how very touching these relationships.
6.
"thank you, mamiji."
"belcome, naat."
7.
she is lurking around trying to avoid him. he sees her.
"hilne ki koshish bhi mat karna, jab tak meri baat khatam nahin ho jaati. .. yehin khadi raho. haath bhi mat hilana... tumhe kya laga... ki tum..." don't even try to move, till i finish saying what i have to, keep standing, don't move your hands even.. what did you think, taht you-
she pretends to be dizzy. he is only concern, instantly.
"khushi.." gah, why does that voice strike right where the ticker ticks. i am too toughened and ad for this. but no, har baar his voice does it. actor. "khushii!" "khushi?"
how to hate this heartless, godless, marriageless man.
"khushi..."
"jaldi paani lekar aaiye..." quickly get water... did she just order him?
okay. just for a second he feels the dupe. then he runs to get her water. and she escapes. such a crazy sexy scene.
Yes, he was committed to La in his mind (not heart :P) and he wanted to live with her...(that this decision was impulsive and triggered that day after argument with Nani does not mean he was not committed to La). Just my thoughts!
I also understand that there must have been pressure from channel (well...the kind of soaps that are on SP these days make me wonder...NAYI SOCH??? Really?) therefore, they intentionally kept the audience confused about arnav's virginity. Later also they tried to push the same thing in that Horrible 'SHIT'-ALL track (sorry!!! but that is the worst track of IPK...infact i think even that silly bubbly kiddo track was better than Sheetal!)
I personally could never understand what the fuss was all about...whats with this need to always prove that he could not have had sex just because he did not know the meaning of Love back then. And if i may just say so, a virgin ASR falling in love with Khushi makes it absolutely "uninteresting" for me ;-) ;-) :D :D if you know what i mean!!!
hi ina,
nayi soch? ha ha, friend used to say, gayi soch.
yet, somehow despite star plus, ipk managed to get a couple of major different soch in: there was a girlfriend of main man... and she moved in with him. ok there was the whole change yourself angle, but he said to her you are fine as you are, no need to do anything... and later: all i care about is my sis, keep her happy and all is fine. got to say, something cool in all of that.
and the man himself. non idol worshiping, may even be atheist. took his mother's name. told the women in his life, no need to change for me. and please, do work if you wish to. none of these premises got messed with. i was terrified, they'd suddenly turn his dad into the good guy and he will become arnav mallik. maybe a virgin asr i could handle but am not asr?  shudder.
on the virginity issue, well as we all saw, they kept the whole thing a wee bit ambiguous and each one of us interpreted it the way it was comfortable for us. i guess that's ok. but for me, him having a sex life is quite normal, and makes life "interesting." you know what i mean.
ah but if you tell me, he went to bed with someone after falling for khushi, then i'd have to really take him to task. when sex becomes a way of love, a part of it, it becomes connection, communication, sometimes communion, then you don't rush off and get silly thrills for silly reasons. see i have my conservative, utterly traditional, ancient side too. 😆
the above line in bold...cracked me up big time... it is soo soo cute!! really!
Durga you are absolutely adorable...
..and now to think of it...i hope DM did...what with so many interruptions and "misses" with Khushi!!! grrr... :D
And yes when i said about the possibility of physical relationship with La i did not mean he was big on casual sex thingie...and i would like to believe that even if he did have physical relationship with any woman (before meeting Khushi or before she started affecting him)...it would be only if he felt committed to her at some level...
but yes...it is so hard to imagine him being intimate with anyone else but khushi! :))
chalhov,
bahut dhanyavaad for reading that long one. lovely comments. yeah, much as i would want it otherwise, life indeed is pain, and somehow that pain adds to life. sometimes too much pain. but i guess if you didn't feel that you wouldn't know how to feel too much joy or too much love either. lovely song. especially the last two lines. awful things happen within relationships, yet to stop loving, if you have really felt that feeling called love, is almost impossible.
i love what you say about why he fell for her. was thinking just this morning, all her mad, jhalli cuteness, her innocent pranks, her cookiness, that's what he really gave his heart to. he couldn't help it his heart just decided and he followed suit. my heart didn't listen to me, said later.
writing really lovely here. because my little knowledge of life tells me, that is love. when your dil just accepts it and you follow your dil. pyaar cannot be done weighing the pros and cons, finding out what's your bank balance and what are your views on women's rights. i adore a man whose views on many things are quite the opposite of mine. of course, i believe i am right and he is from an embarrassing other planet. but really, i couldn't live without him. and khushi, i wonder what all she saw in him and just felt the power of the pull, the one so many of us wish and pray for. maybe she found him hot? 😉. there were a couple of those scenes where she considers his physical appeal, or his nearness. maybe her dil said to her to look beyond the laad governor and find the gentle tender man beneath and maybe her instincts said, what a good looking man, it would be nice to have him. aww i could go on.
Spot on, Indi!
sometimes i wonder...what if this serial was aired on some other channel...(i remember reading somewhere this was pitched for star one..)? I mean i know this TRP thing is there all over...but i just wonder what if they could show what was 'really' written!
i just am curious sometimes to know...what the writers had in mind...
Also i know the kidnapping track was created to allow barun to adjust shooting dates for movie...but what if that had not happened?
What was planned after the truth actually came out if kidnapping was not in picture...
how i wish i could get my hands on the 'actual' script for IPK! What an interesting read that would be! No?
Arshi is always in my mind
Episode-81
Khushi discovered a different Arnav today, who is not a beast, but actually a prince.Whose heart is kind and pure and he treasures oceans of emotions inside it.
 Khushi's parents were incredulous about Shyam. But Buaji was just over confident of his quality. Sashiji was meticulous about Khushi, as she was not their own daughter, so the responsibility was even more. He didn't want to take any chance with her life. Buaji couldn't find any negative thing in Shyam,"now a days people don't help anybody. But Shyam is taking care of us." she reminded him how Shyam saved Khushi from the goons in Lucknow.She was simply over confident of her judgement about Shyam. Why don't you marry him Buaji! Plz spare our Khushi.😡
Khushi with her parents came to the mandir for pooja. Khushi was praying doing a little mischief with the Goddess.She prayed for her Dad's health. Arnav also came to the same mandir to take the Pandit with him. As soon as he came near to the altar he sensed Khushi's presence. khushi also felt the breeze when he was standing  a few step behind her.They can deny their feelings for each other, but how can they deny this divine connection!
While leaving the mandir with the Pandit Arnav found a little girl crying sitting on a bench.He felt a pang of pity for the girl.He moved to her and asked, why she was upset?  She told him that her Dad was in the hospital and her mom was crying for her Dad. Her friends suggested her to fly a pigeon in the mandir,so that her wish will fulfilled." He offered her her hanky to wipe her tears. The girl blew her nose and wiped it with his hanky. Arnav made an eww face.(pause: did she just do what Khushi did on the other day? Gosh I wish Arnav and Khushi would have a girl like her.) The girl couldn't gather enough money from her piggy bank to buy a pigeon to do the mannat for her Dad. That's why she was upset. This girl is just like khushi. remember how Khushi broke her piggy bank during Holi and later when she had to pay buaji's rent.
Khushi also wanted to fly a pigeon and wish a mannat. She ran to the pigeon guy. But there was no pigeon there. Coz some guy bought all the pigeon. Khushi complained "such a selfish guy, bought all the pigeons to make his own wish fulfilled!" she turned and saw so many pigeons were flying and a little girl was so delectable, clapping and jumping in joy. The girl thanked the man stood beside her, "it's all for my dad's well being?" The man knelt down to her and nodded yes. Khushi was astonished to see the man, coz he was no other than but her Laad Governor. The girl felt sad for Arnav,"then how will you wish for your mom and dad?" When Arnav beckoned, the girl caressed his cheek,"you are very nice. Now my Dad will get well, right" Arnav nodded yes to her. she showed him thumbs up and kissed on his check.He kept his hand on her head to bless her and told her to go back home, coz it's not safe to wander alone. Khushi just couldn't believe her eyes that the man whom she thinks a relentless monster actually is a very kind hearted man.
pause: I wonder why everybody thought Arnav used to hate kids. But actually he was not bad with kids. i wish if Arnav and Khsuhi had a daughter like that girl she was so adorable or may be like this.
Sanaya's childhood pic. wasn't she cute?
khushi was so confused. she was cursing herself how cum she was so stupid to judge a person.She was telling Payal that we can not judge a person by his behavior. Actually some one can be good from inside, but seems bad from outside. when Payal was not getting her, she told her that she was talking about laad Governor. She misjudged him. pause: like they couldn't see the true face of Shyam, who was a saint from outside, but a devil from inside.😡
anjali was upset, coz her swindler hubby's phone was not getting connected. When the door bell rang, she thought it was him. But it was Khushi on the door. When she was passing the hall, she found a hanky on the floor. she gave it to Anjali. Anjali told it's his hubby's. When khushi saw the letter S on the hanky she asked Anjali, his name. Anjali told her that her hubby's name is Shyam. Khushi got jovial, our PG's name is Shyam too." She muttered if his name is Shyam, then he must be a nice guy like our Shyamiji. No Khushi you  sure can't judge people.😡
Khushi saw the grand arrangement of the pooja. she asked JP,"It must be a very big pooja" She found Arnav came for the pooja. She exulted to see him, if DM wishes, she can do anything and said indicating Arnav,"great, an atheist is sitting for the pooja!" Arnav glared at her. Anjali came with a huge portrait and she gave it to Arnav, told him to adorn it with garland. Arnav set the pic and put a garland on the pic. Anjali told the pandit that she was coming with other materials for the pooja of the death anniversary. Khushi came to know that it was their parent's death anniversary. She was feeling guilty and terribly sad for Arnav. Arnav was immersed  watching their parent's picture. Khushi  perturbed  seeing her laad governor in pain. When he passed her, Khushi tried to say an apology. But he was not interested to listen.
Shyam was telling Anjali, why Khushi was there on the auspicious day. he was giving Arnav's excuse. Anjali ignored his words and complained why he was not there on that special day? When she asked him when he was coming, as usual he gave her the excuse of his work. Khushi's Dad heard his convo. He asked him,"who is the rani saheba?" Buaji came and answered for him. Sashiji asked him again,"is she from Lucknow?" Shyam answered hesitantly,"yes"He sarcastically said ,"lawyer is me, but you inquire like a lawyer."
Arnav was telling his staff on the phone that he won't attend any meeting today. Khushi knocked the door and begged an apology"forgive me, I didn't know it's your parent's death anniversary." She said in abhorrence"your eyes are just like your mom." ASR was annoyed, he said grimly"leave from here." Khushi was about to leave but turned back and tried to console him,"I know how are you feeling?" Arnav got really frantic ,"you don't know how it feels, when you set fire on them, how it feels when you burn them , how it feels when you come back in the same house where you find them nowhere. everybody says they feel the pain, but actually nobody feels anything." khushi got tremulous in fear at the crescendo of his vexation. Tears welled in her innocent eyes. But ASR became inexorable and his poignant words excruciating her even more"don't come again and tell me that you know how it feels.don't waste your tears for me. save it for nani. you can not coax me with your tears. don't think if you console me I'll increase your salary."He is relentless and lacerated her even more,,"now get out." Khushi  left his room and Arnav banged the door shut on her face. Khushi was forlorn, couldn't get her fault. At the same time Arnav also perturbed behind the closed door as if he did something wrong.
pause: he was actually in vulnerable state. The night of his parent's death was a nightmare for him. When Khushi intruded the sacrosanct place of his mind, he erupted like a volcano.
Shyam was coaxing the elders of Khushi's family. If he had to marry Khushi he needed to please them first.But Sashi Gupta was observing him keenly. It didn't go unnoticed by sly Shyam. When Sashiji stood up, he suddenly felt an  pain on the left side of his chest and he fell on the ground with severe pain. everybody got scared to see him like that.  Is he having a heart attack?
The episode started with happy notes, but ended sadly. Specially whenkhushi get sad, I feel terrible. coz I love her too much.I need to listen a hot romantic VM of Arshi to cheer me up.
and really to me , it doesn't matter.
but i have never believed having sex before marriage can be equated with sleeping around in the most negative sense.
secondly, i have known pretty wild people grow up and become interestingly monogamous. so all taht comes into play for me.
i adore what you say up there in pink. yes yes yes, dm surely stepped in and interrupted la and asr every time. if she could send di/hp/op/jp whenever asr got just a little close to khushi, how could she not step in when those two tried anything.
adorable answer. virginity used to be a big deal for me at one time. my daughter is 12. think i don't think about all of this? 🤗
@Indi and @Ina
Thanks for the replies. ASR was a committed guy. I agree he was never a fooling around person. When he was with La, he supported her, fought for her honour in the house, gave her respect and even fought with his own heart to stay committed to her. Even if he was physical with her, it was fine. Nothing wrong with that. Wrong would be if he did it with someone else when he was with either La or Khushi. My rant is wish they had cleared this aspect of his character right at the start and I would have been fine with it. My love for the show or the story wouldn't have been affected at all. I don't think doing it before marriage is a crime. It is an individual choice, to each its own.
About La explaining to Khushi about live-in, of course La knew what it was about and she meant to do it. One thing is clear, before La moved in we don't know the status, but after she shifted to RM she and ASR were in separate rooms. La was treated more like a guest being trained to be the bahu. So, they never 'lived in' in the real sense and never did it too. We didn't even see them going out on a date.
Indi, loved your answer to Ina's post too. My daughter is 11 and I am already getting cold feet about the talks I am going to have with her in due time.
Thank you both for adoring the take of someone from the rival group. 😉 Ok, ok, just joking. 🤗
