Whose child is Nandu?

Lately they have been showing that basant cannot have children . Although few episode back basalt asked gehna if she will be able to love an adopted child as much as she loves Nandu a child born from her own womb. I started watching this show around shivs birthday celebration. So I am confused whose child is Nandu?

Nandu is gehna and basant's only child.
