All INDIA Distributor Shares 2012: Diwali Releases Combined Equal Ek Tha Tiger

The approx revenue (distributor share) earned in the domestic theatrical market by the major films this year is as follows. Ek Tha Tiger became the first film in history to top 100 crore in terms of share. The combined revenue from both the Diwali releases will be similar to the revenue of Ek Tha Tiger

1. Ek Tha Tiger - 106 crore (ALL TIME RECORD)

2. Rowdy Rathore - 74 crore

3. Agneepath - 67 crore

4. Housefull 2 - 58 crore

5. Jab Tak Hai Jaan 56-57 crore (expected)

6. Bol Bachchan - 52.75 crore

7. Barfi! - 50 crore

8. Son Of Sardaar 49-50 crore (expected)

9. Cocktail - 37.25 crore

10. Raaz 3 - 36 crore

3idiots was released way bk in dec 2009 since then business has grown by leaps and bounds bt still no 1 cudnt cross it if 3i is being released on this christmas the business would have been 250cr

This is surprising!!! I genuinely thought that jthj is gonna break all records coz it had Srk in romance which is his forte, Katrina in the film, yash Chopra direction plus the last film of yc .

This is no excuse that film releases way back, It is obvious that a Film which will make a Record, coming films will break that Record... ab chahe it is broken in 1 yr, 2 yr or 3 yr... 1 can't blame ke woh picture tab aise ya waise...

For 3I, there were many plus things which ETT didn't have, the response which 3I got, if ETT would have got it would have been bigger hit that 3I, ETT Faced all kinds of hurdles, 1st five days of ETT were of Ramzaan, means No Muslim Audience, which in case of 3I was not thr... Also 3I was released on Xmas, Long New Year Weekend... Hike Ticket Price... ETT met with Mixed Audience Response also with critics, Competition from coming movies, which 3I didn't have, it had clean release period.

Now only Dhoom:3 has the ability to break all ETT Records, starting from Day 1 n so on... so us time pe yeh thodi na bolenge ke ETT 2012 mein aayi thi, ab aati toh itna karti 😉

@Ukdhakaboy: Good response! 😆People forget basic market factors like inflation. Otherwise Gadar even today is the biggest hit in the history of Indian cinema. Anyways no one is challenging Sallu's starpower as it is today. But lets see what Dhoom 3 brings in terms of BO collections.

The moment it was Announced Aamir Khan for Dhoom:3, i said it, D:3 will break every Record, even now Dabangg 2 will make some Records of Non-Holiday Opening, even we hoping it breaks ETT Records n go ahead of 3 Idiots... in future any other big movie... Every Single movie's record will be Shattered the Day Aamir Will enter Silver Screen with Dhoom:3.

Only Aamir n Sallu will rule in Top 2 positions now, followed by Akki n Ajay... rest will come n go.
