Probably because the media was taking pictures and videos of him praying to God hence it looked like PR activity.

Waise aaj kal celebs ka PR has become so overboard that even them breathing oxygen might be declared PR activity.

And if some celeb has to show off that they are going to the temple....to gain brownie points.....then it is our problem....not theirs......we live in such times....that we have to show off.....how religious we are....
