There are many people who have very less idea about this festival.... So today I take this opportunity to give u guys some gyaan regarding this festival..... π But the celebration will go on with it....
So to start with.....
"Parsi New Year is actully known as Jamshedi Navroz. Parsi New Year was named after the legendary King of Persia, Jamshed who started the Parsi Calendar. Navroz means spring and is believed Mother Nature casts her spell by dressing up like a young bride. Thus, it is a very special day for all the Parsis!!!
Navroj is the first day of the first month of the Zoroastrian year.This new day is the beginning of a new year, a new awakening into an inner sphere of spiritual consciousness and anew vision of life. It is the time of questioning of looking within oneself, of seeing the millions of miracles that take place within the vast universe". π³ π³ π³
OK ok u guys might get bored by reading n learning.... π

WE R GONNA CELEBRATE THIS FESTIVAL IN A TRADITIONAL WAY...!
Men, women and even children wake up early, bath and dress up in new clothes. They greet each other saying Sal Mubarak...π€π€
Parsis lay down certain auspicious items on the table on the day of New Year. It includes a sacred book, a picture of Zarathustra, mirror, candles, incense burner, fruits, flowers, a goldfish bowl, sugar, bread and some coins. These things symbolize prosperity and longevity for the family members.

Food plays a very important role as a significant part of all Parsi festivals. A sweet Ravo is very important for this day!!!!!! π
Other than this many vegetaian n non vegetarian sipcy dishes are also made!!! π
As a desert item the best one is Falooda...... π
Njoy this special meal....
There is a ritual.... where people throw their sabzeh (seeds grown at Navroz) into a river. Some unmarried girls tie sprouts of sabzeh and wish for good fortune and love in life while some crack jokes calling it the thirteenth lie(same as April's fool).
Hope u guys liked this mini celebration hosted by me....!
Have a blast everyone!!!! Njoy the celebration..... π
~~~~~~~~~ SAL MUBARAK TO ALL~~~~~~~~~~~~
