OS: CHARU A NEW BEGINNING Last Part @ pg.6 - Page 2

Gokul feels guilty that as a doctor he had not been more insistent in convincing Charu's Periappa to take her for treatment ... after listening to everything Dr. Gokul at last nods his head that he understands and agrees to play along ...

Then gently Gokul disengages himself and looks into her eyes ... her eyes are so frightened and transparent like those of a child ... Charu says brokenly ... "Gokul ... I was so frightened ... I felt like a spirit with a vague past ... the only clear memory I had was that I was engaged to someone whom I love very much ... and when you did not come ... I thought that even that moment in my life will fade from my memory ... and then ... slowly ... I will disappear from my memory without any trace..."

Gokul listens silently and feels her pain and fear and rushes to assure her "There is nothing to fear ... I am here now and gradually you will get your memory back ... little by little you will remember every lovely moment we had spent together ... so cheer up and give me a smile." ...

Charu gives a tremulous smile and then playfully asks him to narrate how they had met and where ... how they had fallen in love ' when and how he had proposed ... how had she accepted ... how did their engagement take place ... etc. etc. ...😊

Gokul laughs out loudly and tells her that he is going to spend a lot of time with her ... so now he will examine her as her doctor and then come again tomorrow evening and talk to her as her fiance ...

As he is examining Charu and asking her questions, Gokul notices that she is finding it difficult to keep her eyes open ... so he tells her that all this excitement has exhausted her and he gently pushes her back on the bed and covers her with the bed sheet and turns to leave the room ...

"Gokul give me a kiss before you leave..." Charu whispers sleepily ... Gokul turns back stunned ... stares at her wordlessly ... not knowing what to do ... Charu smiles sweetly and slowly lifts her hands up towards him ... Gokul forces himself to bend down and plants a light kiss on her forehead ...

Charu whispers "Next time when you come, bring me our engagement album ... please" ... and before he can formulate a suitable reply, Charu closes her eyes and goes to sleep with the smile still on her lips ... 🥱

It is really nice to read the third part, Esther. Beautiful touching scene with understanding from Gokul's side. Also you are maintaining the suspense making us curious for looking forward to what is to happen in the fourth part.

Yes you are all right ... Gokul is so understanding!!! But what could his motive be ... is he going to take revenge on Charu for rejecting his proposal ... or does he have any other ulterior motive ...

Dr. Gokul closes Charu's door noiselessly and comes out looking very thoughtful ... Charu's mother quickly goes back into Charu's room ... Charu's father stays back to inquire Gokul about Charu's health condition ... Gokul assures him that Charu is slowly improving in her health and will surely be on the road to full recovery ... Charu's father is very happy with the diagnosis ...

Charu's father enters Charu's room and quietly tells Charu's mother that he is going home to bring some change of clothes and he will be back in the evening with some fruits and food too ... he tells her to rest and take care of Charu ...

Gokul says consolingly "Don't torment yourself so much Sir! Just relax! God has given me this second chance to help Charu to overcome her weakness and I will not let her down ..."

Gokul adds on ... "I also want you to know Sir that I admire your daughter for her courage and tenacity in love ... I am also in love with her Sir ... and my intentions towards your daughter are honourable ... Just give me some time to make your daughter recognize and reciprocate my love for her ..."
