I get it that she is beautiful and guys can't help but be all lusty for her. that I don't have problem with (much) but her reaction to the situation bothers me a LOT. Just standing up to her boyfriend and friends ain't enough. Chanting, "I am strong. I can take care of myself!" isn't enough if she ultimately needs rescuing. CVs have had many opportunities to use her situation as an example that girls can indeed take care of themselves in such situations. She can be shown or hinted taking defense classes. Her bag's permanent accessory can be a pepper spray. Something, anything to indicate that yeah, she IS as strong and independent as she claims to be. But no, it's like CVs love reducing her to the level where she is nothing but a damsel in distress and needs to be rescued by one guy or the another.
I am not a feminist but as a girl I hate the way her character is utilized for such things! C'mon!! Girl power bhi koi cheez hai!! :@
