But I don't enjoy watching the track because I don't KNOW who RUKMINI IS! We got to know barely anything about her and that is WHY I possibly don't seem to understand or empathize with her. Also for the character to develop it's necessary that you see their interactions with other people and that's why I think she needs to get out of the "Just Ranveer" Zone and go with the gang."

Initially, I was really impressed seeing the realistic elements in rukmini's character, but as time went on, I was utterly turned off. I absolutely don't mind her being strong in her views and firm with her decisions, but, somehow that firmness doesn't incite enough interest from my side. As vishu said, we need to KNOW who rukmini is! who is she? a girl that has a hard time speaking english because she is from a village? Is that all that is to her? I need to know more about her character to even like her. TBP has always created characters that are able to stand on their own when needed, and still maintain people's interests, be it Rv, samar, KD, kiya, avi, panchi, piddhi or any other characters. but, I feel like if I take Rv out of the equation, I am going to have absolutely no interest in seeing her. The emotion that her character incites from me doesn't have to be of sympathy, It can be any other emotion. I feel like a character always needs to incite some kind of unique emotion from the viewers that makes the viewers feel connected to them. It is a matter of connection, that just can't be ignored. As she is a part of the buddy project, I want to see more of her uniqueness. I want to know more things, like does she have a hard time when she tries to make friends? something that makes me go ahhh, I can relate to this girl. It's more of a click. Furthermore, I don't want ranveer coming every turn of the way as her knight in shining armor, we need to see her and like her for herself first. But, for now, as mais said, I'm not feeling the x-factor that other characters of TBP always had and I don't want to entirely blame the actress, but there is definitely something that is missing. and, I think I blame that little something on the lack of rukmini's character development. I want to know and love her as rukmini in the future and since I can't do it now therefore I'm pointing out the faults I see.
