Okay, this is confession time because I don't like keeping things in. I've never been comfortable with veeni, but now that I think about it, it's more like I'm not comfortable with rukmini. I just can't seem to like her, or feel that she could ever be part of the buddy gang. I feel like her character has been force fed rather than naturally sliding in.
Okay, she comes from a village and is not comfortable with speaking english. I get it! I feel like this background should incite some sympathy or some kind of positive encouragement from my side because it's not easy coming from a village into such a big city. but, seriously, I really don't know why It's not coming. I just can't sympathize. Maybe, rukmini needs to be shown with more people, like other characters of TBP, I feel like her character feels too restricted by just being with ranveer. I honestly would welcome her interactions with other characters, too. I especially welcome it with kiya, panchi, Kd or even piddhi, letting her only interact with ranveer is really putting me off. :/
She is a new character and I feel like her character development should be more focused on then the whole veeni track. I wish they would just explore her character more before doing this whole veeni track. Because of lack of such development, I just can't connect. Is it just me? For people who feel the same way, I wanted this to be a civilized discussion about what keeps you from liking her, and what more could be done that she becomes likable as a character. These are my honest efforts to understand and accept her, so please do comment and give me your point of view. and, I am not trying to offend anyone with this post, these are just my personal feelings. Hope you understand:)
