"Twenty-five hundred." His voice was demanding, unlike any other boys of his age. He had the authority in his voice that no one can challenge. His prestige personality conquered everyone's dignity.
"But KD-" Sam tried to protest, but in vain.
"Tumhe pata hain ki mein apne rates kisi ki bhi please ke liye kam nahi karta!" KD cut him off. "Twety-five hundred, or deal cancel."
"Fine, I will give it to you by tomorrow." Sam replied defeated. He never succeeded. When it came to one of these few masters of Royal Academy, he was always defeated.
"Advance first." KD said as Sam started walking away. Sam walked back ad put few bills in his hand.
"Lekin kaam ho jana chahiye!" Sam said.
"Jab paise diye hain, toh kaam toh hoga hi!" KD smirked ad watched as Sam walked away.
"Money freak!" He heard someone say. It sounded more of a curse. He turned to look at Kiya walking towards her locker, right below his. He slid his hands in his pocket and slowly walked towards her. He leaned on the locker right next to her.
"Kuch kahan tumne?" He asked, his voice challenging.
"Haan! Kahan! Koi problem hain tumhe?" Kiya shouted at him, as usual.
"Mere baare mein kahan hoga, toh obviously I have a problem with it!" He replied. His tone angry, but his face calm.
"It's my mouth! Mein jo bhi bolu! Tumhe kya you money freak? Bolne ke bhi paise lete ho kya?" She shut her locker with a loud bang. But her eyes stayed on him. He didn't let his eyes unlock. He walked closer to her, his eyes on her's. Before he could reply her, she walked away.
Kiya hated him. With all her heart. Ever since their first meeting. Everyday there were moments with him that pissed her off. Maybe it was because he always seemed to bless her with his presence right after she talks to her mother. And sometimes, the occasions where people ask her about her pop-star sister. "That idiot always manages to ruin my already ruined day! That stoneface ' tch! Sorry!" She mumbled to the person she collided with and continued to walked back to the class.
"It's okay!" Panchi's sweet voice turned into a whisper as she noticed an angry Kiya walk away. Panchi had always noticed Kiya's change in behavior. She understood her, but did not dare talk to her. Kiya always pushed people away from herself, and once when Panchi tried to talk to her, she had shooed her away ' calling her lowclass. Panchi didn't mind. She knew the reason behind Kiya's frustration. It was her sister, and her mother. Nobody in the school knew. But Panchi had heard and seen how desperately Kiya tried to impress her mother.
"Panchi!" She heard Juhi's voice call her.
"Hey Juhi!" Panchi smiled.
"Hey! Woh actually, mujhe tumhare notes borrow karne the. I was absent yesterday!" Juhi smiled back.
"Sure, why not! Lunch break mein deti hu. Mere notes Ranveer ke paas hain!"
"No problem! Thank you!" Juhi gave her a quick hug before running back to her class. Juhi was from a middle class family, but her wishes were that of a princess. She wanted to be someone rich and famous. Sometimes, life is just not fair. Panchi turned and notice Samar walking by.
"Hey Samar! Tumne Ranveer ko dekha?"
"Woh dono Royal ke chhat par hain! Banga ke loye ek aur mazedaar show karne ke liye!" Samar was the only son of Maharaj Jaykamal. A royal family of olden times. But the royalty in Samar's his tone was meant to be.
"What?" Panchi asked flabbergasted. Yet another plan of Ranveer. Another mischief. She always ended up trying to convince him, scold him. But Ranveer wouldn't budge. He was born to be a prankster. And her bestfriend.
"Aaj toh uski double Pungi bajegi! Dekhlena!" Piddhi said as he slid the rope down. Raveer smirked ad casually put his hand around Piddhi.
"Pungi toh bajegi hi! Lekin iss baar is machhar ko Royal se hi nikalna hain!" Ranveer smirked. He hated rules. And he loved breaking them. He hated being ruled. He had money and charms. He wanted to spend his father's money every wrong way possible.
"Of course bhai! Iss sapere ko dekhke toh kisi ki lag jayegi!" He said and leaned down.
"Kuch nahi hone waala!" They heard the voice behind them. Ranveer clenched his Jaw. He hated him. He hated him because he always reminded him of how he couldn't stand on his own feet. That Ranveer Shergill lives on the name of Shergill. "Banga school mein hain hi nahi!"
"Tujhe yahan kisne bulaya?" Ranveer snapped.
"If you don't remember, let me remind you, yeh plan meine hi Piddhi ko diya tha!" KD said, leaning against one of the pillars. Ranveer glared at Piddhi.
"Woh bhai mein toh.."
Piddhi was cut off by a large crash. They all looked at each other and ra dowstairs towards the voice.
"Tumhe maine kitni baar kahan hain? Stop playing football in school! The team is banned!" Vats, Banga's assistant was scolding Bobby. Bobby. A tomboy. She disliked being a girl. She wanted to be a football player. But of what she remembers, all her life people kept taunting her. Kept telling her how girls can't play football. And that is what made Bobbita into Bobby.
"Aur meine kiti baar kahan hain mein tumhari nahi sunugi Bange ke chamche!" She glared and walked away with the ball. Ranveer and KD shook their head at her usual actions and Piddi followed her.
The class of 11th C was one in a zillion, and that is not even exaggerating. There was no control over them. They were birds of their will. They flew away suing their own wings. Their aim was right, but thy didn't realize that the path they chose was just as dangerous as fun it sounded. Had it not been the destiny, there would have been no cure. But these students were special. Their future was decided yours ago.
"Class!" Mr. Ramanujam, the Principle of Royal Academy, voiced. Everybody felt silent. "I have been noticing the increase in your rebellious attitude." His eyes scanned the students. Looking for the faces he knew so well. He eyes paused on Ranveer and Piddi, who were sitting somewhere in the middle of the class, and then they moved over to the boy with straight face in the far right corner. "To control your rowdy behaviors, I have appointed a new teacher. He will be teaching you Psychology and will help you realize what is wrong and what is right." He completed. A man in his 20's walked in. The students rolled their eyes, and started whining.
"Hello everybody!" He started as the Principle walked away, leaving the spoiled kids to the mentor. " I am Anirudh Jaitley. I will be teaching you, Psychology. If you co-operate with me, it can be a very interesting subject." He said. He saw some students roll their eyes ad drop their heads on the desk. "But my class has some rules." He continued. The students noticed the unique tone of authority in his voice. It was as if he knew what they needed, what they wanted. "Aaj ham bas ek game khelenge. We will start the class tomorrow!"
" Hum 2nd standard mein padhte huye bache nahi hain jo games khelenge!" Anirudh looked at the source of voice. A boy sitting in the corner alone. He was leaning over on his desk, his eyes challenging.
"Keshav Desai!" Anirudh's use of his name caught KD off-guard. "Tumhe games nahi pasand hain, you only like playing the role of source." Anirudh walked over to KD. "Pranks toh koi aur hi khelta hain lekin un pranks ke mastermind, Keshav Desai urf KD! Am I right Mr. Desai?" KD looked away, annd stared down.
"Hamare pranks mein ek nahi, sab hote hain sir. Kisi ek ko blame mat kijiye!" It was Piddi who couldn't stand seeing his brother like friend embarrased.
"Piddhi urf Pratham Punj!" Anirudh smiled walking towards him. "And you are the one who executes the plans, aap pranks play karte hain! Haina?" His eyes moved to the boy next to Piddi, "And you, Mr. Ranveer Shergill. You are behind the screens of these pranks. You love breaking rules. Your motto is Rules are made to be broken! The stark opposite of your bestfriend Panchi, Am I not right?"
Ranveer clenched his fist. He hated it when teachers mocked him and specially when they involve Panchi. He felt someone's hand on his and looked up. Panchi was calming him down, as usual. He smiled and blinked. Letting her know he is okay.
"Oh, let me not forget Bobbita here!" He said looking at the girl who was leaning back on her chair. Glaring at him.
"Bobby!" She snapped.
"Yes ofcourse, Bobby! " he smirked. "Who wants to fight destiny for making her a woman." He stared down at her. Bobby cringed.
"May I come in sir?" All the heads turned towards the source of voice. Anirudh looked at her and nodded. He frowned as a thought came to his mind. Her face reminded him of someone. Someone he once met. He shook his head and walked to the front of the desk.
"I want no back answers and argument. My class is mine, and you must follow me!" He ordered.
Anirudh didn't want to be this rude. He didn't like being this. The faces had 'Junglee' written all over them. He knew how they felt. And those who he talked to were the ones Principle specially told him about. But there was hidden behind those faces. He could see the vulnerability in their eyes. He wanted to know them and mentor them. But he wasn't here for that. He was here for a promise. And he will not indulge into anything that might come in his way.
He must find his eight scions. And he desperately hoped they are not the ones he just faced.
