A series of unfortunate EVENTS_ romantic edition CHAPTER 1
This is a FF that Im writing on BIHAAN and THAPKI I will do dialogues in hindi, but thoughts and other events in English, because I feel like dialogue needs to be in hindi for the characters to stay true to themselves. And as far as Thapki's hesitations in talking, I won't write those out all the time...maybe every now and then so you remember to read them in her cute voice. :)
This is a FANFIC starting from 2 weeks before Shraddha and Dhruv's Wedding Events and Onwards, and my take on how the story should go from there, this is exactly one week after the engagement.
Aditi was frantically running, she turned in any and every direction that came upon her route, she knew he was bad, but not to this extent. She found a dark alley, a dangerous one, but for her it was a safe haven. It had garbage, it had dust, it had so many things wrong, but it was the only right spot. She stood there, holding her breath, afraid that someone would hear that too.
Another moment passed, she heard footsteps run past the narrow opening, feeling temporary but satisfying relief. She fell to the ground, helpless, hopeless, crying. But that too in silence, because she knew that if Diwaker's men found her, she wouldn't come home unmarried. Her home was not safe, she had to find a way to escape this, escape it until she found a permanent solution.
Meanwhile at the Pandey residence:
Vasu: Chalo Chalo sab log, punditji aa rahe hai shaadi ka moorat dekhne keliye, badki...mithaayee laana shraddha aur uske pitaji aane vaale hi hoge. Sagaii to jaldi ho gai, lekin shaadi mein main koi kasar nahi chodna chaahti, mere druv ki shaadi honewaali hai. Chalo Chalo.
Pundit arrives with Shraddha and Her father. They all sit down, and Punditji starts to look at muhrat,
Vasu: Punditji, bas aap mere bete dhruv aur meri pyaari si hone waali bahu shraddha ke liye acha sa moohrat nikaalye...
Punditji: In don keliye sirf do hi achee moohrat hai, ek aaj se 6 mahine baad aur dooosra 2 hafte baad.
Everyone is a little shocked and hesitant...
VASU: are sab log cup kyun ho gaye, are ye to khushi ki baat hai, Punditji hume do hafte baad ke moorat mein hi shaadi karaani hai, yahi humare bacho keliye aur is parivaar keliye sahi rahega. Chalo chalo sab moo mitha karo...
Everyone is extremely Happy, everyone but Dhruv and Bihaan. Dhruv cannot believe that he is getting married in 2 weeks. He thinks to himself...is this right? I can't ruin a girl's life just to make Thapki jealous, when clearly she seems to have moved on. Has she really moved on? How can she move on with someone like Bihaan? How can she forget our love? If this is true, and she has forgotten our love, then maybe I should move on. I trust my mother, maybe Shraddha will bring happiness in my life. I will give her a chance. But every time I see Thapki I can't think of anyone else. Avoiding her doesn't work, being close to her definitely doesn't work. He was upset, and he decided to leave and bury himself in office work.
Bihaan was worried, not only because his brother was going to get married to shraddha, but because Shraddha wasn't exactly right for the Pandey home. She could probably keep Dhruv happy, but she's going to make everyone in the house miserable, especially Thapki, but he wanted to see his brother Happy. He knew he would protect Thapki, plus there were only two weeks left until the wedding, and three weeks left until the end of their marriage. Thapki wouldn't have to suffer much longer. One week, what could Shraddha do to her in one week? He knew she wasn't completely bad, but she was spoiled, and stuck up, and her modernity was her pride. And beyond that, if he hadn't heard her make fun of Thapki by calling her chook chook gaadi with her friends, he would have never figured her out. He was angry when he heard her, how can shraddha make fun of her? She's harmless, and sweet, and quiet...well not to him. But he was different, if she didn't yell at him who would she yell at? She would go insane in this house, as he was right now. Chook Chook gaadi is his name for her, he's allowed to call her that because he means no harm, but Shraddha...she shouldn't EVER. Nobody should ever make fun of her like that, a sudden burst of emotions took over Bihaan. Feeling of Protectiveness, Anger, and frustration, all caused by one inevitable driving force of love, that which he was completely unaware of.
HE RAN upstairs, slammed the doors...she FROZE. She was trying to put eyeliner on...and because of the loud noise it smeared all over her the ridges of her eyelid, she looked horrible.
Thapki: Tum kabhi darvaaza dheere se nahi band karsakte...
HE wasn't in the mood for this, he held her wrist with a firm grip, one that almost stings, and plopped her down on to the bed...she was shocked. Tears started to roll down her eyes, uncontrollably as she felt the sting in her arm...It's just Bihaan being rude, why is she so hurt by his random act?
But the tears were unstoppable, she wanted to hide her face but where can she go? They were stuck in this room, together and alone.
He hadn't noticed yet because she was looking down...
Bihaan: kyun aisa kar rahi ho, tum jaanti ho na Shraddha kaisi hai. Voh tumhaare jeena haraam kardengi, nautanki hai bilkul nautanki. Humko to P se Parishaan kardiya hai, par tumhein to K se khaa jaayegi, agar humaare bas mein hota na to...
Thapki: to tum usse bhi shaadi karlete, druv sir ko bachaane keliye? Jaise tttume mujhse shaadi ki? Her voice had a different kind of pain, it wasn't the normal tashan-filled voice, it was teary and hurt. Just then he felt a drop of something wet on his hand...his hand instantly sprung away. What had he done? He never meant to hurt her. The same feeling took over, the protectiveness, the anger, but towards himself.
He saw the red marks on her hand, and felt his stomach drop profoundly. He wanted to wipe her tears, and this time he couldn't stop himself. His hands were slowly wiping away her tears from her soft rosy skin, she instantly pushed his hand off her face. He had forgotten that Thapki's skin was delicate, and extremely sensitive, she had broken out into a rash on her wrist. It looked painful, he ran to the closet pulled out the cream and before she could say anything or stop him, he was applying it to her wrist.
She knew there was something good inside of him, but what? She wanted to find it, but what for? He can never undo what he did to her, but maybe he can learn from it. Become a good person, after she left from his life forever.
Bihaan: ab kaisa lag raha hai? araam mila?
Thapki didn't say anything.
Thapki: Main bas is parivaar ko khush dekhna chaahti hu, druv sir, daadi, ma, bauji, sab kitne khush hai... vaise bhi main yaha sirf teen hafte hu. Teen hafte keliye main shraddha ho ya koi bhi ho, jhel sakti hu, aur rahi baat uski madat karne ki, to main karungi. Dhruv sir ki khushi keliye main karungi. Aur tum mujhe nahi rokoge! Vaise bhi, tumhe koi hak nahi banta mujhe rokne ka. Kaash ye anghuti nikaljaati, bus dhruv sir ki shaadi ke baad ye anghuti ko main katva kar hi rahungi...and she ran and locked herself in the bathroom.
This was normal right? Day by day he should get less susceptible to her tears, but Bihaan wondered why he couldn't ignore them.
She splashed her face with water, over and over. Until there were no signs of tears anywhere...Just then they heard vasu and dadi ma shouting.
Dadima: BIHAAN, THAPKI chalo jaldi niche aao guest ki list finalize karni hai, aur dekho thapki kaun aayaa hai...
vasu: thapki beta jaldi aaooo tumhare liye surprise hain.
Thank heard her voice, it was her! IT was Aditi!!! She ran downstairs and hugged her...she looked abnormally tired...Thapki wondered if everything was okay.
Vasu: dekho thapki ab tumhein aur Aditi aur sab ko milke dhruv ki shaadi ki taiyaari karni hai, maine Aditi ko yaha bula diya, taaki tumhaari madat ho jaaye, aur jabse yaha aai ho ghar ki bhi yaad aati hogi hai na?? To bas maine aditi ko kuch hafto keliye yaha bula diya!
Thank: Ma, Thank you.
vasu: are bache kabhi ma ko thank you bolte hai...dat...
Aditi was safe her, she knew it. As much as she hated her Jeejaji for how he married her sister, she knew one thing, that he would keep her safe. That's why she came here, she had to tell him. Only he could deal with Diwaker and his men. But what will I do about the promise I made to Vasu Aunty? I don't want to force my sister to fall in love with Bihaan? What can I do to bring them closer?
Vasu Aunty had given her an opportunity to be safe without her asking for it, but in return she asked for something that was next to impossible, because she knew Thapki's stubborn nature...for the time being she can at the least be safe, with her sister, and even temporarily happy.
