Haan. Kahan 2010 ke around main we got shows like Sasural Genda Phool, Ek hazaron main meri behena, Yeh rishta, Diya aur baati hum, Maryada. Even toxic shows like Saathiya had lot of fun elements, everyone was not against Gopi, Gopi had her mil and Raashi had her mom and it was funny.
Even when Ipkknd, Ishqbaaz were on air with hate to love tropes we had shows with different themes to balance it out, like Naamkaran, Yeh hai Mohabbatein
Ab it is all about 2 women fighting over the same man as if duniya main saare aadmi mar gaye ho. Koi ambition nahi kuchh nahi bas aadmi is apparently the trophy, jisko mila woh winner.
Dheere dheere waahiyat hota jaa raha. I hope it reaches a point where they need to revamp, jaise when Colors arrived every channel was forced to change their regressive content 15 years ago, waise kuchh ho
Mujhe lagtha hein ki yeh soon hoga...because audience perspective is slowly changing... be it rural or urban areas ppl don't want to see bhabhis going after their jheth. In one way they are also objectifying people here. Toxicity already prevails in our society and they are adding more toxicity created by them .Why cant they make a modern pride and prejudice ❤️ . Now, ppl might say that most of these hate to love trope is inspired from pride and prejudice....all that is right.but Darcy wasn't an abuser or he never forcefully married the FL. They had their differences lekin respectable the dhono. Eisa kuch kyu nahin banthe...where the ML doesn't have to necessarily abuse the FL? From Arnav Khushi to Shivika/Rikara...yahi chalthe aayein hein...and the FL is reduced to an object in their household. The only love story of the love to hate trope that I truly enjoyed was Udaan's of Surajs and Chakors. The mutual respect and the love they had for one another, was just on another level...that you'd wish to see in real life. But theirs wasn't exactly an Elizabeth Darcy kinda thing. They were arch-rivals...So, I think an Indian pride and prejudice would be really nice.
