Goodbye to Tere Liye…
And thanks to the whole cast & crew for putting up such a brilliant effort & presenting us (the viewers) with such an awesome love story.
If I am not wrong then its not even a year or may be almost a year that Tere Liye had started but it has come to an end – courtesy the decision of channel to scrap it for reasons best known to them. I am not here for any kind of blame game, criticism towards the channel guys on why they meted out such an awful treatment to a good show like TL because I think they are here to do business for their employer in turn to earn a living for themselves & their families; if they wont some one else will. But I am surely livid at the production house guys because they could have asked for some more time to give the beautiful story a proper well-deserved ending rather than the stupid kind they gave. If the channel was not agreeing for the prime slot they could have shifted it to late night slot & ended it more beautifully.
I have some points to highlight.
- The promos before the show went on air said "Tani ne pyaar ke maayne hi badal diye" = I could not find one single changed thing, it was as usual girl loves boy madly but boy is as usual silly & stupid, everytime there is a crisis he will run away from it, mis-understand the girl but whenever it comes to the girl the girl will always understand & adjust.
- The promos promised the love story will be different = There was difference, a great difference – Well mannered good boys with no illicit relations, no extra-marital affairs, only one out of marriage or should I say before marriage son that too accepted by family on being disclosed. No extra dragging of anything, be it Anurag's realization of his love for Tani, Gulabo black-mailing Ritesh, Anurag's court case, even Anurag going to save Tani from marrying Ritesh (I thought atleast this may take 10 episodes but they did it in 3 – 4. Superb tuning between mom-in laws & daughter-in-laws (Nilu-Tani or Laboni-Mouli). Too quick change of heart for vampish daughter-in-law Jonaki (from making tani villain in front of Robie & family to celebrating Tani's pregnancy), No lambi judaai for couples (I thought Taposh Mouli would end up divorcing, Anu Tani forget it even though Anu was in asylum Tani was with him through out first to last episode). Triangles not so scheming or badla taking father (I mean that girl whom Anu thought he loved was all set to marry sorry don't remember her name), he infact was distributing good gyan to beti on chalo lets go back home. Finally Ritesh Babu – he did all wrong, got caught also & even went to jail that's record cause villains never go to jail, infact they never get caught.
But I have few questions un-answered, I am sure every TL fan does.
- Ritesh did everything wrong, every one knew that, no doubt he got punished for his wrong doing s by nature where he lost his daughter. But he tried to kill Anurag to which Tani was an eye witness; He confessed having plotted against Robie, what happened to him?
- Tani was taking care of both Ritesh-Ananya's daughter Kuhu & the new born child. The baby was in arms of Tani even when they ordered kulfi in mela. Kuhu died what happened to the baby boy, where was he in the ending when Anu-Tani hug their daughter?
- Jonaki is seen feeding Tani's daughter. Where did Robie's son disappear?
- If Anu was pretending to be mad & he was not mad ( because he said he returned home after recuperating from accident where he saw Sushant taking Tani out & thought she re-married), I am surprised the asylum people couldn't make it out till the time Tani ends her story narration & the warden sees him toss the lucky coin. If he wanted to go away from her he could have done that anyhow by leaving then only, why was he pretending to be mad & staying at the asylum for her to trace him back & narrate their love story to the warden?
- Anu's father died of shock, Anu not there after accident, Robie in jail, Ritesh takes over business then to the Ganguly's manage to live in the palatial bungalow for 4 years till Anu comes back. Is the IT dept reading?
