Part Five Inspired by Jiya re from Jab tak hai jaan

Yuvraj returned to Armritsar furious that he could not complete his revenge as he planned. As he approached the car to drive back to the Sarna mansion, he was suddenly accosted by someone who hit him on the head with a rod.

Yuvraj's vision blurred as he turned to see who had hit him.

He collapsed soon due to the impact but couldn't believe who stood before him.

"Game over Yuvraj Luthara!"

It was much later that regained consciousness. The first thing Yuvraj realized was a musty smell and the bar on the door. He realized he was in a jail cell.

A figure with dupatta on her head approached him.

" Hi Yuvraj, my pyaare pati dev," Mahi declared.

" Mahi sab tumne kiya?," he exclaimed.

The pain on the back of his head left him with a major headache.

" Haan meine kiya. Mere paas evidence bhi hai tumari Maa ki khilaf. Woh bhi thori dhere main yahaan aya jayengi," Mahi added.

" I will never forgive you for this Mahi! I will get you and Twinkle for this! I am sure she convinced you to do this!," he yelled.

Mahi shook his head at him.

" Nahin Yuvraj. Jo meri behn nahi kar payi woh maine aaj kar diya hai. Twinkle Di has given me confidence from the very day we reunited, but I was blind in you facade for far too long. I owe all of this to Jiju Di and most of all to myself. Now no one will ever try to cross me or my family. Main hamesha un ki dhal ban ke rahoon gi," she declared.

Yuvraj fumed.

" I will be out of here by the morning. Then you will suffer Mahi!," he declared.

" First you must wait for the drug charge to be cleared then you can leave," she hissed at him.

"What are you saying?," he asked puzzled.

" The police found cocaine in your car and your office," Mahi replied.

"I will kill you Mahi!"

" Ooh you shouldn't have said that. I just recorded your threats," she declared.

Mahi turned around in style flipping her dupatta in the process and ignored Yuvraj's frustrated yells as she walked out of the police station.

Twinkle and Kunj enjoyed the rest of their trip and got to know each better each moment more they spent together.

They explored the markets, art galleries and local culture.

They returned home a few days later. Everyone was elated to receive them home and the good news that Anita and Yuvraj were stuck in jail.

Twinkle embraced Mahi and applauded her for efforts and courage.

" Now that is like my sister!," she declared.

" Jiju and Di I wish I realized the truth before Di got hurt. I hope you both can forgive me," Mahi stated.

" Mahi hum sab ek family hain. We love and will always support you," Kunj said before each of them took turns hugging her.

Mahi felt at peace at last. Her family was all back together and on the same page for once.

A year later...

Mahi started her education towards becoming a counselor. Her experience with Yuvraj had made her realize she wanted to help others.

RT and Leela worked together on their family business and Bubbly had started her internship for her event management course.

Bebe was as ever supporting her family through every happiness and challenge life brought them. Most of all she was happy for Kunj and Twinkle's double blessings. They had twins a few months ago. They named the girl Kiara and their son Tarun.

Kunj had completed his MBA graduation the day before Twinkle delivered their twins. He was in the process of starting a new business.

One morning when the twins were three months old, Kunj was tying his tie in the mirror. He was deep in thought about how their lives had changed and the challenges before them.

He finally wanted to support his family on his own. He wanted to make sure all of their needs were met.

His reverie was broken when he felt a hand on his shoulder.

He turned slightly to see his wife.

She looked beautiful as always.

"Kunj all the best today. Mujhe pata tumari yeh meeting bahut important hai," she stated.

She gave him heat from the diya and then fed him curd with sugar.

When she put the tray down, he pulled her in close to him.

She blushed like it was the first time he held her close like this.

"Twinkle why are you blushing? Yeh pelhi baar toh nahin hai," he quipped.

She giggled.

"Mujhe maloom hai Kunj lekin baacho ke baad hum ne zyaada romance nahin kiya is liye,"she muttered.

He held her tighter.

" Do you think I have put on too much weight?," she asked cautiously.

"Nahin toh. Before you were a stick figure. I love these curves of yours," he said huskily.

Twinkle blushed.

"Kunj..."

"Before I get late give me a good luck kiss," he insisted.

She smiled slightly before leaning in.

Some time later she bid him good-bye. She waved him off and then returned to take the twins from Bebe.

Life couldn't get better than this.
