Why all the GD members are called by their surname?? If it is so...then why jetha is not called as gada bhai or something like that...i was watching today's episode in which popat gets accused of cutting tree and calls everyone for help..tab dimaag Ki batti chali...taarak ko Mehta Saab (everyone might be giving respect to him) bhide ko atmaram kyu nai and iyerr ko Krishnan...waise babita toh apne husband ko surname se hi bulaati hain usse toh at least naam Lena chahiye na warna pyar se bulati khrishu!!khrishu!!! Lol...

I too have a question. All these ladies are best friends of each other then why do they call each other by "aap"?
The answer to these questions is in the initial episodes, these people were just normal neighbors and were not close to each other like they are today. That's why it made sense when they would call each other by their surnames and "aap".So I think they have used to calling like that.
It's really strange to see jetha calling his biggest enemy iyer as bhai and his best friend just sa'ab.It should have been the other way around.

I think its okay. They all must have met in the GD society only. So, they were neighbours who later turned friends. The initial names for one another remained even after they became bestum best friends.

'Bhai' for Iyyer is just to add the spice in this relation. He never directly says he hates Iyeer so shows the respect with the word. Bs Bhai hi hai, bhaichara nahi.😆

More than this I am amused how Iyer is bhai for him but Babita is Babita ji. All the other women are called Bhabi but Babita is Babita for everyone in the society. Interestingly, no one has problem with it😆

I think even the other men of the society don't like to call babita bhabhi even though they have no feelings for her like jetha.😉

That is something I want to know. If babita is younger than others than she should also have her own group. Why is she loitering with these middle aged women ?

Even for Jetha I would like to know what is he thinking about this love triangle because he has feelings for Babita ji but Daya ji aka his wifeji is Babita ji's Bhabiji. Doesn't that make him her brother by default or Daya's mother has another desi nuska by the grace of which he can have the cake and eat it too ?😆

Actually this question should be asked to babita too.She calls daya 'bhabhi' so in that case,jetha should be like her brother.So how can she like someone,who is like her brother,flirting with her?I think she calls daya bhabhi because other ladies call her bhabhi.Even uske bhi mann mein 'bhabhichara' nahi hai.😆

hahhahahah.lagat hain tumlog babita ko jetha ka bhai banake chhodo ge...but my question remain same that y babita called iyyer as iyyer pheli baar hi dekha koi wife apne pati ko surname ae bulati Ho and in the initial episode...anjali used to call komal as komal didi and jetha called hathi bhai as hansraj bhai...and also bhide and Daya used to call each other as Daya ji and bhide ji...so much difference... 🤢

Yaaa...sab log ne babita ke naam ke piche Jee laga Diya...even ladies also...or agar koi actor actress aaye toh woh bhi aur toh aur...apunka Asmo bhai bhi babita ji hi bolta hain and sabse badi baat toh yeh hain Ki...babita too likes jetha...becoz..she calls everyone as her bhhai but call jetha as jetha ji...waah re waah...bechare iyyer and Daya...dost ke piche sautan ka chehra... 🤣

Babita and iyer's relationship is the only relationship that has not been explored in the show. Jetha always wonders why did babita marry iyer.Even the viewers want to know the answer because they don't see any feelings for iyer in babita's heart. She just fulfils her duty as a wife.She takes care of him,gives him good food but iyer doesn't get love and support from her.She looks like one selfish lady.Probably she married him only for his status and is living him because he fulfils all her wishes.She doesn't feel ashamed of jetha flirting with her in front of her hubby but she feels ashamed when her hubby tries to hug her in front of others.

Totally agrees wid u @subha...babita had married iyerr becoz he is scientist..in the initial episode babita used to treat iyyer as her gulam or PA...aur woh hong kong se wapas aate hain tabhi dono hug karne jaate hain aur rukh jaate hain I cnt understnd 😡 hug karne Mein kya jaayega...its not something like we viewrs cant see this aisa hain toh jeya bhi kitna romance karte hain inhe kya hota hain woh bhi chhota sa hug hi toh karna hain...and serial itni aage badi hain toh yeh sab toh ab usual hogaya hain...tabhi kya hotaa hain pata nai in log ko...babita is really alag personality...still confused 😡
