How I stumbled upon this show.. Because I had remote in my hands.. I was changing the channels and it was then I first had an Glimpse of swara detective spree.. I was bored and I wanted to find what she was trying to prove.. So kept watching.. Back then I don't know hindi at all.. Now I can understand few words here and there.. So I was hoping the scenes would give me an hint.. I think it was the power cut scenes where she was trying to prove sanskar innocent.. And I saw sanskar and ragini walking together from the stairs and the shocked faces of all.. That was my first scene.. I knew by the shocked faces something interesting happened.. That all..

It was purely by luck that I had watched the upcoming two episodes.. The same dress of swara would indicate the scene was not over for me.. I saw till she opened the box to reveal the Adarsh gf.. And then I saw how everyone dismissed the event and went back to bed and I dismissed the show as well.. And moved on.. Or so I thought..

I occasionally glimpsed the show after that by accident.. And I still don't know which episode I decided this show was worth watching.. I remember going to YouTube to catch up on the show and once I did that.. I was gone.. I loved Sanskaar, Swara and swasan.. And the rest of my journey is history..

Forum I joined at first purely for LU.. My language barrier needed it.. And then started interacting a little.. And soon made lot of amazing friends.. It has become the place I login to first at the morning and it has become the place I logged out before sleeping..

This show made me an writer.. Not a good one.. But nevertheless someone who was encouraged by your lovely support.. Swasan will always be the reason for that.. Their story had that magical pull.. And sanskar was the guy I can see appreciating because that how much I was in awe of his character from the show.. Okay it had turned to an essay.. I will stop here for now..

"Because I had the remote in my hands" - that is the best reason I have read so far.😆

But you got the show from a little ahead, as I said, I truly flipped much later. And I did not know that you do not follow Hindi well (is it because you stay in Chennai , I am right here about Chennai or wrong about that too?). I just thought you rarely used Hindi dialogues because you are more comfortable with English, like me (I studied in Jamshedpur, Hindi was my second language, but I "think" in English, so that is the language I use. All my school friends have the same issue.😆)

And yes, though we adore SwaSan, I guess we have soft corner for Sanskaar - as you said, his characterisation, especially his patience when it comes to Swara, is amazing. Men like that do not exist in the real world, nor in the fictional world to a large extent, proof is all the caveman ML we get to read in the fics. That is there USP, his patience and her stubborn adherence to what she thought was right.

I do love them and all of you.😳

Bebo you had a remote, hmm that's quite a valid reason. I know, I still remember, how we used to beg the AT friends for the lu. It's still fresh.

And that was second karva chauk. Where Sanskaar gives a set of Bangles after a romantic dialogue. We begged them.

I must accept that I watched this show only for Sanskaar, then Swasan.

@Nyna. Yep it was his characterization, but kudos to vk for his amazing performance and especially dialogue delivery and for his accent. Watching him as Sanskaar worth the time which I spent on this serial. He is a perfect and equal belend of devil and angel. It's a treat to watch him.

Whether it is tum Mera upar ho Swara, or dyanse Laksh, tu Meri patni see bathka I don't remember, some what like this. I missed watching it.

I missed many things, stalking the story threads, resing, posting my ramble there, teasing Nita. Many more.

Sorry to offend you nyna, they do exist in real world, but it's really hard to find them. Not every men's are caveman. Definitely not. I have a father, brother and husband. My friends, friends husbands they are not. I had the same thought before my marriage. Men's are worse except my dad. Even I hated my own brother.

But in fiction, they want trp and they're money minded. What we can expect from them.

No offence, Sweetheart, none taken and I am sure none was meant.

But then maybe I should clarify, when I meant "caveman" it is specifically in a limited sense (mostly in a physical way between a man and woman) not in a way a man treats the women as a sister, daughter, mother, friend. I have been blessed with wonderful men in my life - father (was my universe, still is even though he is gone for longer than he has been in my life), my brother, my friends (still are - right from school, through college, all life crisises, and with whom we can discuss everything under the sun, almost everything😉) and yes, a couple of my friends' husbands whom I admire.

So when I used the term caveman it was and is in one specific sense - how does the man treat you when you are alone with him as a wife/partner and the only thing on his mind is a physical intimacy (I do not mind the word, just not sure what IF auto censor code would make it out to be🤣)

We are not privy to that, and what we learn is from what the women in our life let us know - and I am sure you would know, that behaviour is very very different from how a man treats you when you are not in the privacy of the 'bedroom'.

And that is why I so adore Sanskaar, a physical intimacy is the necessary culmination and a requirement between a couple very much in love, but the fact that he would always put Swara first, in both waiting for her and otherwise (not shown but it would be an extension of his characterisation😳) is what endears him to me. Men like that, rare I am sure.

And your observation regarding TRPs / USP bang on - guess that appeals 😕

Agreed, it is tough to see where VK ended and Sanskaar began, but then when it comes to TV serials, I have this problem / habit of not caring who the real actor is (which is both good and bad, good for I do not care who he is, what sort of person he is, what he does in his life etc. come to think of it, this is the first serial I even learnt of the actors' names🤣) but then you have to give it to the actor for bringing to life a brilliant characterisation.

Perfect blend of angel and devil - and yet we love him 😊

And may we always be in love with him /them😳

You guys won't believe when swara was listening what ragini had done in badi when she was hospitalized after dhaaka lagao scene...

My mom was super excited when nani maa woke up chatta lagao ragini 🤣 my whole family was glued to tv and baam baarish ke wajah se aapka tv nai chaal sakta ab...🤣

How did I chance upon

My room mate use to watch Asoka @ 9 pm religiously ...I use to catch up on bits too ..Since 9.30 we didn't have anything to watch..We use to keep TV on swaragini followed

Heads immersed in laptops ..Catching up on bits and pieces ..I started watching it I guess holy episode where trio of Ragini Laksh and Swara hatch a plan for patch up of Dadi and Dida.

But actually it never got me hooked ..More or less like default time pass..But then ..Sanskaar made an entry . I thought Sanskaar was for Ragini...my logic was if Swara was for laksh .. then you need to have someone for Ragini ... I liked their equation ..Dupattewali dost..It was kinda cute

My room mate was absolutely sure Sanskaar was not mad ..He is acting .. I was like no no .. lol..Guess I was smitten by him then 😆only ..Till he took out cavity's photo from behind MM family photo ...And I was hooked ..Charu ..My room mate was like see I told you.Then laksh started acting smart .Swara started impressing Dp then there was evil duo of Ragini and Sanskaar ..Dida s fall from stairs ..Etc etc ..Oh we use to despise Ragini .. and was absolutely sure Dida will get up from coma and will bring her truth out 😆..

Epic Moment

Swara and Sanskaar in hospital.

Swara says Sanskaar mere sar main bahut dard ho raha hain Main Chalne ki koshish Kar rahi hoon ..Par mujhse nahi ho raha hain...Then theres a moment of hesitation on Sanskaar's face .Then he says join baat nahi Swara ... And then.. Tada

It was a normal scene till then but the moment swasan music starts in bg . ..And he picks Swara in his arms...I was floored ..Like literally floored😳 and that moment I knew I am going to be crazy for this duo .I don't know what it was that tugged my heart at then ..But swasan just become my muse. And Sanskaar ..❤️😳

I was one of early members of forum ..But I use to post only in swasan at ..It was 2 or 3rd At I guess. I use to give live updates ..And discuss on how sunny boy in going Fidaa over Swara madam ..Leela ,asha Debo and a bunch of few were active then.Leela use to always complain about Swaras dressing style post marriage ..It's not mass appreciable how they should give her sarees ..Or salwars ..How Swalak fans use to hate sanky.😆.Lol hanky man was name given to him .. how cute like superman .And drug lord too 😆..Me tho was like Swasan just grew upon..Just for a glimpse of Swasan I use to wait for 9.30 counting hours from morning .Those days. Miss them 😊

And I met so many wonderful people ..It's almost like second home 😊

You was there. Me too but was a silent member just reading the comments. About leela, I miss her pink typing. And mass fandoms. And trps aunties. She was the one who gave some confident about Swasan. That was the era where we had a fight with swalak fandom. Missed it. Do you remember Sonia duttah I can't froget her.

And your story seems interesting.
