Thank you for your feedback... I shall soon respond to all the comments. I think the last chapter came as quite a shock... the lighthearted moments have become emotionally heavy. As much as I have enjoyed writing the light moments between Swara and Sanskar... I owe it to the characters to give them more depth.

I am unable to update the page where I indexed most of the stories before... it is locked. Hence I shall try to keep an up to date index of this series whenever I update.

Thank you for enjoying the series and for your love and affection. You all play a very huge role in motivating me to update sooner and to make sure you enjoy the characters journey.

P.S: please keep in mind that I have commitments and priorities that come first in the offline world. The world of fanfic is at the very bottom of my list. I am only writing because you the readers enjoy reading. Having tantrums will lead to me having tantrums too.
Once again thank you all for being understanding and thank you for politely requesting I continue. It is because of your polite requests and the vested interest I see through your comments for the characters that I am back trying to update whenever I can.

The month of December is year end for two of my companies... I might not be able to update often.

Pawn 10


Resting his head on the headboard as he lay in bed unable to sleep, guilt eating at him. Sanskar looks to his left, snuggled to his side, clinging like a leech in her sleep was Swara, his wife, who had exhausted herself to sleep wit her tears.

Every time he tried to push her away from him, she would cling onto him even more tightly, causing him to eventually give up and allow her sleep by his side.

Staring at her, the rememants of exhaustion still written on her sleeping face, Sanskar says softly to her sleeping form, "I never realized how much you hurt." Recollecting her teasing and laughter, he adds, "your sunny disposition became your shield. Oh why did you lower your shield before me."

"Do you not know that I am the reason you hurt?" He asks the girl sleeping by his side, "do you not know that I am not your friend?"

sitting on the terrace floor, backs resting on the wall as they sit side by side in silence... both trying to understand what just happened... one confused... one hurting. Her gaze bleak, Ragini looks at Laksh and says, "I am sorry Laksh. I will speak to Swara. I am sure she doesn't mean it." Staring into the dark sky, his gaze filled with dejection, Laksh replies sadly, "she means it. Swara would not have said what she did without giving it a lot of thought."


Turning to face Ragini, his gaze filled with pai, Laksh whispers, "I have lost her... Ragini, I have lost her," Laksh repeats as he breaks down... pulling Ragini into a tight hug as silent tears fall. Not sure what to do or say... confused... because a flame of hope rekindles in her heart and yet at the same time Laksh's pain leaves her heart heavy... Ragini silently hugs him back as she pats his back, feeling guilty over her mixed feelings.


Watching them silently, anapurna backs away, not wanting to intrude on them. Relieved and pleased that Ragini was by Laksh's side, helping him deal with his heartbreak. Smiling as she walks down the stairs, anapurna thinks, "what a lovely girl, to set aside her own broken heart and supportive of her friend and sister, helping them deal with this trying situation," adding whistfully, "fingers crossed this situation brings them closer and she does become Laksh's life partner."

This will always remain my most fav os series just for the fact that it had a totally unexpected plot. when everyone was writing same. Your every story has a sweet twist which leaves one to wish for more. I hope you will complete it.
