Dear readers,

A big thank you for enjoying the series so far, I hope that I am able to continue entertaining you through my stories. Thank you for the appreciation, motivation and encouragement to continue writing.

I would like to apologize for not having responded to the comments of late, hopefully I shall try to give some of my time towards it.

I tend to write on the go in bits and pieces, whenever I have a free moment, something you may have all noticed. I have quite a busy schedule offline hence I take advantage of every free moment. Off late, my offline schedule has more frequent short free moments and hence have chosen to focus on updating the story.

I write from my phone and hence am not sending out pms because it is very cumbersome and time consuming as majority of my buddies in the buddy list don't follow this show.

Reading the discomfort in swara's body language as she plays with her breakfast, Sanskar leans towards her, whispers, "what is the matter? Is the breakfast not to your liking?" Swara leans towards him, whispering back, "this is very awkward." Stealing a glance around the table, not meeting anyone's gaze, continues, "asking you to marry me was obviously not a bright move on my part. I should have found another way..." Sanskar smiles, replying, "ah, the beauty of hindsight."

He sits back, a slight smile on his face, curious to see how she will handle the situation. Moments later, unable to see her anxious anymore, Sanskar takes pity, leans forward and whispers, "you are forgetting something very important." Confused eyes looks into laughing eyes, thinking, "what is he talking about?" He continues, "as far as the family is concerned, we married because Laksh deserted you at the mandap. We married for family, society, blah, blah..." Breaking into a smile as relief pours in, beamingly Swara exclaims slightly aloud, "oh gosh! I could hug you." Seeing the relief in her eyes, Sanskar smiles, nods towards her plate, his eyes silently telling her to relax and enjoy her breakfast.

Smiling slightly, Sanskar looks across the dining table. His smile falters as his gaze falls on Laksh, who is watching Swara. Reading the pain, the betrayal in Laksh's gaze, regret engulfs him over his part in separating Laksh from the woman he loves. "I should never have agreed to this marriage," he thinks regretfully, "oh why did I think it was a good idea at the time. Swara would have never agreed to marry Laksh after she witnessed ragini's breakdown. I didn't need to marry her to keep them separate."

Sanskar's gaze shifts to his bade papa, his eyes glint with pleasure, satisfaction as he watches the worried gaze of his bade papa as he looks at Laksh. Relishing the moment, he thinks, "maybe it was not such a bad idea. Swara's presence will be a constant reminder to bade papa of his favourite son's lost love."

The butler walks up to Durga Prasad and says, "sir, Officer Dutta has come to see you." Surprised, yet curious, Durga Prasad says, "show him in." Laksh get up from the dining table along with his father. His father gives him a questioning look, to which Laksh replies, "I called the officer. I want him to arrest the people who are responsible for me missing my wedding."

Sanskar freezes momentarily when he hears this, forcing himself not to react and remain nonchalant. Base papa looks towards Sanskar, then Laksh, mentally debating how to handle the situation, thinking, "I can't have the family, especially Laksh find out about sanskar's involvement. I need to protect both my sons."

Durga Prasad turns towards the officer and says, "Officer Dutta, I would like to apologize for wasting your time. We are not going to pursue the matter. We will not be pressing charges. It is..." "But dad," Laksh interrupts with disbelief. Durga Prasad ignores him and continues, "it is regarding a girl's respect. I do not want it to become into a spectacle." He turns to Laksh, softens his voice, saying, "should the media get hint of this, they will drag the girl's name and her family through mud. This is something I find unacceptable." Laksh turns to Sanskar, says " Sanskar, please talk to dad. They should be held accountable for what they did. They held me against my will." Durga Prasad turns to look at Sanskar, curious to see what will he do.

Reading the pain, frustration in Laksh's eyes, Sanskar says with a heavy heart, knowing full well he was inviting trouble for himself, but he just couldn't disappoint Laksh in his time of need, "bade papa, please reconsider. Laksh does have a valid point."

Durga prasad's gaze softens, thinking, "you would invite trouble for yourself for Laksh. I am glad we have not lost you completely. You fight you demons son, I will always stand by you." Durga Prasad turns back to the office and continues in a strong voice. "This matter has been resolved. The family have apologized. It is the end of the matter."

Officer Dutta replies, "it is okay sir. I am glad that this matter is being tackled sensitively and that you have looked at the broader picture and have decided to let it go." Silently reprimanded for not considering the matter maturely, Laksh turns to look at Swara with frustration.

sanskar walks into his room, stops mid stride. Seeing his belongings strewn everywhere, he exclaims, "what are you doing?" Swara turns around, smiles and says, "I am making room for my stuff. From now on we share everything... Half... Half." Shaking his head Sanskar walks out of their room.

Laksh walks into Swara and sanskar's room, looks about the room, taking in the mess, says in wonderment, "Swara it has not even been 24 hours and you have made this room into a tip." Swara looks up, surprised to find Laksh here. Unsure on how to respond, she remains silent.

Laksh sakes his head, saying, "this is not what I came for." Looking at her imploringly, he says, "Swara I want to explain my absence. I owe you an explanation." Swara smiles and says reassuringly, "Laksh you don't owe me any explanation. I knew that you had a very good reason for your delay. I trust you." "You never had any doubts," Laksh asks. "None," Swara replies, adding, "I know you." Confused by her response, Laksh asks, "then why did you not wait for me? Why did you marry Sanskar?"

"Oh shit," Swara thinks, her expression that of a caught rabbit. "what do I say now? Me and my foot and mouth syndrome," she admonishes herself silently. Taking a deep breath, trying to buy time to come up with a reasonable explanation for there was no way she was going to tell him about ragini or her feelings for him. Laksh looks at Swara with increased curiosity, wondering, "what is she thinking?"

Smiling reassuringly, Swara says, "come sit," as she gestures to the divan. Once Laksh is seated, she sits next to him and says earnestly, "Laksh, my marrying you was not because I didn't trust you. It was the circumstances, the situation that presented itself." Curious, Laksh forces himself to remain patient and hear her out. Swara continues, "not too long ago, my family experienced a broken engagement. You were part of it." She says politely, not wanting to tell him outright that you were responsible. "Then yesterday, we had the situation we had. I am sure you can imagine how the atmosphere was... My grandparents... My parents... Reliving the previous experience. I had a choice, choose my family or you."

Feeling guilty, Swara lowers her gaze, says, "I chose my family," silently adding... I chose my sister. Her eyes brimming with un shed tears, she looks at Laksh and says, "please tell me you forgive me... That you forgive me for choosing my family over you." Wanting to scream, to lash out, ". no... No I don't forgive you for not choosing me." Laksh instead says, "you don't need my forgiveness. There is nothing to forgive" as he think sadly, "the one thing I love about her... Her nature to place loved ones before her... To love unconditionally... Is why I have lost her today."

Sanskar smiles with relief, happy that Laksh's and Swara had sorted it out. Deciding not to interrupt them, he turns around and heads back downstairs, thinking, "good. Now the awkwardness will diminish and now that Laksh has accepted it, he will heal soon." Chuckling, he thinks, "poor Laksh, he has no idea if the matchmaking plans Swara has in store for him."

Watching Sanskar come down the stairs, Aadarsh calls out, "Sanskar," waits for Sanskar to acknowledge him, then continues, "bade papa is calling you." Nodding, Sanskar asks, "in the study?" Aadarsh replies, "yea. Come."

Smiling, happy that Swara loves and trusts him, Laksh says, "Sanskar said that he will divorce you so that we may marry. That he understands that under the circumstances... Swara... What..." Laksh stops talking, looks on in confusion as he reads anger, fury in swara's gaze. Muttering to herself angrily, Swara says, "how dare he?" Ignoring Laksh's puzzled expression she storms out of the room with every intention of giving Sanskar a price of her mind. the sting of his betrayal sharply biting into her heart as she tries to control her emotions her eart crying out, "did he not just agree to help me? Why would he do this to me? Oh ragini..."

"Swara," Anapurna calls out as Swara races down the stairs, "look who is here," she continues, frowning when she sees Laksh racing after Swara. Lips compressed, she quickly turns towards swara's father, wanting to distract him from noticing the distressed look on swara's face or to see Laksh racing after her. Deciding to kill two birds with one stone, she says with a smile, "I want to apologize and thank you one last time for allowing Sanskar to stand in place of Laksh. I promise you that you and Sharmista will have no regrets with Swara marrying Sanskar."

Seeing her father, Swara rushes towards him in excitement, hugging him tight, happy to see the worry in his eyes lesson as bade maa reassures him about her marriage with Sanskar. Anapurna turns towards Laksh and says, "you owe shekhar uncle an apology."

Intriguing update!
I loved how DP said he'd stand by him while he over comes his demons. Shows he truly accepts the mistake of ignorance in the past & understands how destroyed Sanskaar is after losing Kavita. Good bond.

Sanskaar worries when Swara is worrying. 😳 The poor guy doesn't even realise it. 😆
His concern & guilt over Swara & Laksh but then that being over-shadowed by his hatred towards his Bade Papa... I wonder which of these emotions he'd let rule.

Poor Laksh.. I feel sorry for him.. he said Swara puts those who she loves above everything.. wasn't she also supposed to be in love with him too? Does he realise how contradictory he sounds?
Waiting to see what DP-Sanskaar chit chat is going to consist of.
