Chapter 3
The CHAOS
Swara was trying to get some sleep. Abhi uncle was talking Dr Sayani Gupta, the plastic surgeon, a very amiable middle aged lady. She was a patron in an acid survivors foundation. Abhi uncle was interested to be a sponsor.
The loud roars and laughters of some men were disturbing Swara's slumber. Some defense personals were sitting there. They were like this since the flight had taken off. It's 40 minutes now and her head was paining. They don't seem like defense people! How loud!'she thought Well they r humans too. Can't be formal all the time na?'
She got up from her seat. She had decided to request them very politely. She walked past the rows and went near them, took a deep breath and said,
Excuse me sir.'
Yes miss?'a man in late thirties with asked. He had hawk like eyes, crooked nose, sharp jawline and thick moustache.A commanding vibe can be sensed around him
umm.. Please pardon for my request.I have a bad headache and trying to sleep. If u don't mind can ur conversation have less... umm.. ,she hesitated
Noise, right? See I told u the passengers are getting pissed by us.' another one in his late twenties spoke up in chiding manner. He had light stubble on his face, short dark hair , well built body . Overall handsome features. He was looking amused and composed at the same time.
Sorry lady, we'll be careful from now. And captain Lakshya, don't order us.I'm the major remember?'The first man spoke again.
Please don't mind.I'm really not feeling well. Thank you for not taking my words to heart.', Swara was ready to go.
The captain got up,'Hi I'm Captain Laksh. Nice to meet and sorry again' he offered his hand for a shake
Swara responded to the formal gesture, And I'm Dr Swara Bose.'
I know.' and within few seconds her body was captive by his iron grip. A cold metal touched her temple. She froze from within. Blaring sound of a Gunshot almost made her ears bleed. What just happened?!!

A wave of panic rushed through the cabin,soon it was filled with hues, gasps and shrieks. Dr Abhi was shocked and fear clenched his heart. He was petrified to see Swara with a gun pressed to her temple. A gun roared and the commotion turned into pin drop silence. A cabin crew was shot. The children were shushed by mothers. Abhinash could not stop himself. He has been a bachelor all his life.Swara is not only his responsibility. That girl took the place of a daughter in his life.
What's going on? LEAVE HER!!! How can u do that?You are supposed to protect our country! Why are u terrorising the passengers?'
He exclaimed
Swara was struggling after her momentary statue mode. Lakshya was dragging her towards the beginning of first row. He opened his mouth now. Oh Calm down Dr Mathur! As u see we are on mission now! You can feel proud too because you will join us soon! (Notices him moving) Don't dare to move even! Otherwise your doting daughter cum disciple will lose her precious life!'
Meanwhile 10 others with arms taken position. An air hostess returned from cockpit, her hands were raised over her head. She was panting, blood was splattered all over her light blue shirt. One attacker was behind her , pushing the arms barrel on her back and forced to move forward.
Sanskar was silent till now. He stood up to say something, but the attacker (who spoke to Swara first and called himself Major) Shouted
EVERYBODY SIT! IF ANYONE TRY TO ACT SMART, WE'LL FIRE GUNS WILDLY. THAT LADY WILL DIE...'
Abhi and Sanskar shouted "Nooo!!' at the same time. Abhinash was flabbergasted looking at the the unknown youngman.In the meantime Sanskar tried to assure
Ok we're all sitting down. Please don't harm Swara. What do you want?
Major leaned against the Cabin door and revealed,
Silence please (dramatically)! Hostages should speak only he is asked. We, the so called army troop hijacked this aircraft. So this flight isn't going to Budapest. Your Pilots are knocked down, I'm afraid. Our colleagues are kindly doing the duty in exchange. ( someone broke in tears and wailed) Don't be panicked please. We'll allow everyone to leave... except...' he paused and came near Avinash
Dr Mathur, my pleasure to meet u! You and Dr Bose are joining us. You have patient to treat. A very important patient.'
Avinash looked perplexed, you could meet us in my Hospital. Why did you hijack a plane?'
Major smirked,' because neither our patient, nor we are fond of law and order! To be frank, we create anarchy. Our patient is a celebrity in planning that. He needs solidarity from the people and their kind, whose identity we faked used to bring this huge amount of arms in a plane."
Swara was terrified now. The situation couldn't be worse. Terrorists in disguise have captured the aircraft. She and Abhinash are supposed to go with them to treat their leader. Those who destroy life of thousands, snatches peace of millions, they don't deserve to be saved. Even if Abhinash and she do that, there's no way they'll be released. Fate of prisoner for life or worse, death. She cursed herself. She looked at Avinash and sensed, he was thinking in the same line.
I'm not going to treat any terrorist! Not at cost! NOT ME!!NOT SWARA!!'Avinash refused. He can't let Swara in that hell and he can't indirectly help to endanger many lives.
The fake major was furious.Sanskar closed his eyes in despair. Sudden tension filled the air. Swara was dragged roughly, this time by major. Lakshya followed them.
Major continued in a grim voice,'Listen Dr Avinash Mathur! If you don't cooperate with me, U'll see my worst. I'll count from 1 to 10. Say Yes or I'll shoot her. 1..2...3..4...5...6...7..8..9...10 (shot fired)'
"ABHI UNCLE!!!"

Swara was filled with grief and tears. Abhi uncle had suddenly charged on the major. The latter missed the target , the bullet hit Abhi's heart instead of Swara.
Abhinash was in pain but smiling,' Your mission is failed.. I'm dying (Swara whimpered) so no one is going to save your nasty patient! Goodbye beta. You're the best person, ...best daughter and (his expression became soft)...best trainee(beamed with pride) I've ever seen.' his breathing was ragged and soon ceased completely...
Swara was in anguish and cried out loudly. Her heart was filled with burning hatred...
You killed my mentor ... My Abhi Uncle... No my Father... I hate you!!! Your filthy mission will be failed too!your patient will DIE!'
NO!! Mission WON'T fail! He doesn't have that much time!' Major ran his fingers though his hair.' YOU! What did Mathur say before dying? You're the best trainee he ever had! You'll come with us!'
NEVER!!!'
I'll kill one by one passengers here if you refuse. U watched that I can. Which one first? This cute little girl? Or the pregnant lady over there? You can't be so selfish, can you?'
FINE!!' Swara look defeated, wiped her tears I'll come with you.' Major gave winning laugh..
Please I'll come with you too. I can't leave her alone with you.' all eyes go towards the pleading voice
Mr Oberoi stop it! Are you out of your mind?'Swara couldn't take it more
Swara I know you don't want your Sanskar in danger. But I love you. I can't leave my beloved alone. Ma papa ko keya jabab Dungi?Maine unki hone wale bahu ko is hal me chod ke aaya?'
Major got irritated what nonsense? I'm not going to take any extra burden. And you never (looking at the person who followed) informed about him?'
Yes he is her lover. He met her today in hospital, then had a fight in airport. He was trying to convince her.'
Sanskar spoke again,'Swara met me in London while visiting her family. We had a long distance relationship. Recently we decided to marry. See I'm an anaesthetist. So..'
Major thought for few seconds
"Fine. You can come. And Lakshya make arrangements for releasing others. Prepare to land in alternate area.'
Swara glared at Sanskar. Then her eyes went towards Abhinash and her eyes filled with tears again. Sanskar looked at her.
