Dear nivi...
Welcome back and sorry for the late comment...Well that was a moly treat...reread the whole story and muse say loved it once again ...Back to this update loved the slow bonding between swasan and the care they are showing...For once I agree with ap why should they suffer for something that have not done...In this tale I still wonder whom shall fall in love first out of the two...so hope it's swara for a change...? Nice to see that they share similar interest...The update was beautiful and not at all at out of sink with the rest...Waiting did the next update already ...Take careRaz
Thank you so much for the welcome Raz. And there is no late comment or quick comment. A comment from my dearest friend, however late, makes me feel on top of the world. And I'm glad you enjoyed reading the story once again. AP, however partial to her sons, is not a dumb a** like the show. She is a strong and able matriarch of the Maheshwari household in my story. I'm glad you are enjoying the warm friendship the duo share. Who will fall in love first is a question you will have to leave upon time (of course, apart from me 😆). After all, love is friendship set on fire. And I am also relieved to know that chapter was not out of of sink.Chapter 5 almost on the way!Love,Nivi
Indeed this us why I loved the way ap has been shown in your story a true leader that has her own mind frame 😛 and knows what is right and wrong...Thanks for the reply it made me 😊 and jumping for joy already seeing that chapter 5 is already on its ways 😛😉Trust me sometimes the simplicity of the updates make them the best one to read and this is what I love about all if our forum writers the detail they show not only to the plot but to the accuracy as well of making it as believe as possible and for that I can only give you all a big...👏See you managed to keep me hooked on there love angle no worries I will try and guess...😆 but rest assured you will share with us soon. .😉Till then waiting 😆
Chapter 5
A Visitor
The following days saw a buzz of activities in the Maheshwari Mansion. Catering, decorations, clothes, tasks were distributed equally among the family members. It was difficult to convince the Gadodia family, but they did it. And the Gadodia's, though unwillingly, agreed for the reception.
Sharmishta was glad that her daughter was receiving all the love, care and affection from her in-laws for which she craved since childhood. But there was nagging feeling in the deepest corner of her heart. As if someone gone would soon return back. A woman's instinct can never be wrong. Her deepest fears came true one day.
A lady in late fifties draped in a Bengali cotton saree walked inside Baadi dragging a suitcase with her. Sharmishta, who stepped out of their house with a shoppers bag to buy groceries, paled with fear seeing the woman.
"Maa." She whispered to herself.
Plastering a smile on her face, she walked towards her mother and touched her feet with respect standing up few seconds later. Shobha smiled at her daughter and hugged her affectionately.
"Andar chaliye, maa." Sharmishta said and pulled the suitcase as the elderly lady walked ahead. The family too was startled to see Shobha walk inside the house. Their faces became pale white due to fear for they knew her wrath if anyone mistreats Swara. And they got Swara married to someone...no not someone, their daughter's would-be husband without her consent.
"Shomi, Shona kidhar hai." "Shobha asked seeing her dearest elder granddaughter missing.
"Maa, aap jaake fresh ho jayiye. Swara bahar gayi hai. Thodi der mein aa jayegi." Sharmishta cursed herself for lying to her mother about her daughter's whereabouts. Circumstances...
Shobha wasn't fully convinced with the answer but she didn't ask any more questions and walked towards her room.
Sharmishta sighed as she saw her mother enter her room and did the only thing which can better the situation.
"Swara, jaldi Baadi aa." Sharmishta spoke on the phone.
Swara understood something grave was happening in Baadi hearing the agitated voice of her mother.
"Kya hua maa." Swara asked excusing herself from the women discussion.
"Teri dida aa gayi." Sharmishta broke the news and Swara felt the ground under her being snatched.
"Dida" A barely audible whisper came from Swara's mouth as she tried to absorb the piece of information. Within minutes, Swara found herself in car with Sanskar beside her driving the vehicle.
Swara knew her Dida very well. A minor scratch on Swara, her Dida will transform into an angry goddess unleashing wrath on those who hurt her. Swara was scared of her Dida's reaction when she would know that her grand daughter was married to her another granddaughter's would-be husband. She shuddered to think of the consequences.
"Shona abhi tak aayi kyun nahi, Shomi?" Shobha asked her daughter who herself was appearing tensed not seeing Swara. As if the god heard it, a car stopped in front of Baadi. Out stepped was Swara and Sanskar.
"It's ok, Swara. She'll surely accept our relation. You can convince her, I'm sure of it." "Sanskar spoke softly pressing her hand in assurance to which Swara only nodded at him. Both were anxious as they entered Gadodia House hand-in-hand.
Shobha saw Sanskar and Swara with surprise as they entered the house with interlocked hands but shrugged it off thinking he came to drop her. But her surprise turned to shock seeing Swara clad in a red anarkali suit with all marital symbols- mangalsutra hung on her neck, sindoor in hair parting and hands adorned with shaka-pola.
"Shona"
Shobha slumped on the sofa with a thud. Her granddaughter was married and she was not even informed. And the person she got married to was...Sanskar.
Swara walked towards her Dida with baby steps and bent down facing her.
"Dida, room mein chaliye. Baat karni hai mujhe aapse." Swara said holding the elderly lady's hands and taking her towards the room. Upon reaching the room, she seated her on the bed and turned to lock the door. She left a deep breathe and began talking.
Swara explained the circumstances, Ragini missing, reputation at stake, pleads of family members, their wedding and her Dida listened to all patiently without interrupting her granddaughter. As Swara finished the story, Shobha asked only one question,
"Khush hai tu is shaadi se?"
Swara replied, "haan Dida. Main bohot khush hoon is shaadi se."
They spoke nothing more but Shobha was assured seeing honesty in Swara's eyes as she replied. The grandmother and granddaughter shared a hug before they opened the door.
