CHAPTER SEVEN
Sanskar fell down on his knees with his eyes reflecting nothing except agony but his eyes didn't shed any tears at all. He was far away from the normal pain. The amount of pain, betrayals and hatred he had received in his life, had made him numb to react to anything now.
He had spent numerous sleepless nights from his childhood waiting for his parents, hoping that someday they would come and will caress his hairs lovingly, will pat his back for always being a topper in his school, would seat with him asking about how his day was, in school just like normal parents would do but NO...it just wasn't just in his destiny.
Later when his parents got divorced and left him to stay with the caretaker and they themselves went away for their enjoyment, he had spent all his nights sleepless crying, sobbing and weeping, asking god Why He? What the hell he had done to receive all that?
But it was HIM only. No one was there to listen him, no one was there to answer his questions, no one was there to understand his pain, no one was there to soothe his pain, no one was there to wipe his tears, no one was there to offer him water when his eyes used to become red due to continuous crying, no one was there to save him from his school friends who kept on teasing about his parents, no one was there to tell him that everything is going to become alright, NO ONE! NO ONE WAS THERE FOR HIM!
It wasn't his mistake that his parents got divorced. It were his parents, they couldn't handle their marital life but still, it was Sanskar who always got blamed for their divorce from his relatives saying he was unlucky for their family, saying right from his birth the so called happy life of his parents turned upside down.
Seriously? His parents were the one who were solely responsible for what happened in between them, it was them who couldn't keep their life on track even after receiving an angel, a gift by god, their son in their life. The time when they should have been focusing on their child's life, his happiness, his everything...unfortunately they focused on fighting with each other, taking divorce from each other, leaving sharp imprints on their little one's mind that relations cannot last, there is nothing called love exists in the word, everyone is selfish who thinks about themselves only.
Swara wasn't in state of speaking anything. She was engrossed in her own deep thoughts after hearing Sanskar's story. Destiny had surely played a wicked and cruel role in his life. It was not an easy to bear thing. It takes a lot of courage to live such life.
The incidents happened in his life made her to recall an instance she herself had witnessed in her life, of her friend Mahi's. Though happenings with Mahi and Sanskar couldn't be compared as both the persons are different, the incidents are different but one thing was common in between them and that was pain and betrayal from their families.
Mahi's parents had died in one accident just after six months of Mahi's birth. Her uncle took her to live with them where each family member had behaved with her like she was their slave. At each point, taunted her that she was a curse to their family, just after the birth she destroyed her parents and even said to her that SHE killed her parents. It was too much for the poor little soul to bear. When she was 15, she too went near her parents by hanging her to the fan, by finishing her life. It was like, she had tired of being called murder of her own parents and no one was there to make the little girl understand that it wasn't her fault; it was not she, her parents died because of. That poor girl had left with no other option except ending her life.
Swara opened her eyes with a jerk and stared at Sanskar who was still on the floor staring at nothing particular but ground. He looked too broken to get mend. All what Swara wanted that time was to cry loudly, to question God that why he had to be cruel with those who do not deserve it. She wanted to shed the tears which she was holding from the point of time Sanskar started the story of his life which was breaking her with each passing second.
Her eyes were fixed at his sitting figure only. She clenched her fist trying to calm herself down. She could not afford to break at that point of time. If she herself would break down, how would she collect Sanskar's scattered pieces? She had to stay strong...for HIM.
He needed someone badly in his life, to console him to care for him, to love him, to make him believe love does exist, love doesn't only hurt but love is the most beautiful thing, most sacred and pure emotion, most amazing creation of god which cannot be seen or heard but only can be felt. She had to bring his life back to him. He deserved that, he deserved to get all the happiness which he could not get his entire life.
She could not let the same to happen with Sanskar which had happened with Mahi. She couldn't save Mahi but she wouldn't let anything like that to happen with Sanskar...NEVER. She would be the light in his dark tunnel; she would be the ray of happiness in his painful life. If life had given him a thousand reasons to cry, she would give him a million reasons to smile, to enjoy the life, to love the life.
She roamed her hands all over face to make sure she doesn't have any single drop of tear over her face. Getting up, she walked towards Sanskar and sat down on her knees in front of him. His eyes lifted to her as he felt her sitting in front of him. Sanskar didn't say anything nor did Swara. She just wrapped her arms around his neck pulling him in her embrace, pressing her eyelids as tightly as she could.
He took no time to do the same. He couldn't deny the fact she was some miracle for him. Her touch was the best medicine for him. Her one hug was enough to calm him down. He tightened his hold around him while she just kept rubbing his back. As expected he was calming down, he was feeling better with her.
Slightly pushing Swara away, Sanskar asked her in feeble voice questioning her about why she was there with him, caring for him, "Why?"
Swara could only smile at him saying, "Because Love Is Beautiful and I have fallen for you... I have fallen in love with you... And I want to make YOU feel as well" Sanskar was stunned at her indirect yet direct love confession.
"What?" He asked not understanding what she wanted to make him feel.
"Love Is Beautiful" She uttered with a soft smile.
