Ragini let her head hang down while she tried to digest everything that she was reading. Biology was currently the subject that she hated the most. Why did she register for this course, she also doubted with her choice of life. It wasn't like she scored an F in every test, but anything lower than B grade was already bad for her.
Her brows furrowed together while she scanned each word and then transferred it to her brain. Not even passed ten minutes, she yawned and her forehead eventually hit the book. How would she survive this? Another four chapters were waiting to be read, but she had already reached the bottom of the pit. The exam would be in two days and she was sure that it would be a massive failure for her, my life! she cursed quietly under her breath.
When she was about to close her eyes, she sensed a movement near her. She peeked a glance and caught a glimpse of a guy who just sat at 1 o'clock across her. She arched her brow, grumbling in her mind. There were so many empty tables, why did this person sit at the same table with her? Such a disturbance.
She heaved and hesitantly lifted her head and soon regretted her words. This wasn't a disturbance at all, it was more like an angel that was descended from heaven to keep her alive. She clasped her chest, feeling the loud thump against it.
Oh my God! Look at him. That guy looked so hot when he was focusing like that. His cute lips formed into a little pout and the way his eyes narrowed down on the book, just wow. This guy was gorgeous and freaking hot.
Ragini's eyes trailed from his brown styled hair to his smooth and muscular gun. Ragini bit her lip in frustration. Could he be any more perfect than he had been
Ragini took out her phone, checking her face on the screen. Shee pulled a strand of her hair to the back of her ear and wetted her lips. She was all ready now. All she needed to do was to get that hot guy's attention. Hearing his voice would be enough for her, at least for today.
Adjusting her posture, she looked at that guy and cleared her throat, hoping that it would make the guy turn to him, but it didn't happen. Ragini tried again, coughing a bit louder this time, but wasn't too loud because they were in the library now. Again, no response from that guy.
Ragini furrowed her brows and pursed her lips. Maybe that guy didn't hear her, she thought. Just then, another idea came up and she picked up her pen, clicking the end of it repeatedly. That hottie would surely hear it, right?
Ragini grinned and kept doing it, but the guy didn't spare any glance at her. He was still in the same position, reading the book diligently and having that serious look on his face while reading.
"Is he deaf?". Ragini mumbled softly.
Laksh, the hot guy heard her, but he just pretended he didn't and simply ignored it. He was dealing with a bigger now and he should stay focused. Focus, Laksh! Don't mind that girl. Oh my God! What was that? He heard the sound of tapping now. It was really annoying. His head was boiling, but he just patiently stayed in his position.
Meanwhile, Ragini kept playing with her pen and tapped it on the table, loud enough for people ten meters away to hear it. The sound was really disturbing, but she didn't have any idea to get his attention other than this. That hottie couldn't be deaf because Ragini noticed he was clenching his jaws just now. Just a little bit Ragini, keep doing it.
Again, her little plan didn't work, only her fingers were tiring now. She wondered if that guy was normal or not. If this was happening to another person, they would surely react to this kind of disturbance. Ragini hummed after having another thought. Perhaps, she should go to another extent.
This time, she placed her pen in between her fingers and then flipped it quickly. She chuckled inwardly when that pen flew towards that guy, hitting right upon his hand. That was it. That guy finally turned to her and gave her a 'what the hell' look. Ragini smiled sheepishly raising her palm and muttered a soft sorry'.
Laksh continued staring at her, not blinking his eyes. Somewhere in his heart, he didn't regret turning to her. The little devil that kept pestering him just now was cute. So cute and pretty.
Her milky white skin, along with her red and thin lips, so attractive and kissable. Her body looked nice and firm, hot enough to be an ideal girlfriend. Just a perfect fit for him. What? Laksh Maheshwari! Pull yourself together!

"Here. And I'm not deaf."Laksh tried to sound serious while he actually wanted to laugh because that cute girl's mouth was gaping wide while looking at him.
"Hmm, no one said you're deaf." Ragini chuckled awkwardly and took her pen from him. Did he hear her earlier?
"Maybe I heard it wrong. Forget it". Laksh waved his palm and flashed a small smile at her.
Ragini scratched the back of her head and smiled shyly. She could feel the warm blood rushing to her face now.
Laksh didn't lift his eyes away from that cutie, feeling amused looking at her reaction. The book was long forgotten, this cutie was the only matter at this moment. He closed the book and placed his elbow on it, resting his chin and staring at the girl across him.
"Why did you do that earlier?". Laksh asked. A killer smile pasted on his face.
"What?". Ragini lost words, her mind went blank. She just thought of how to get attention from this guy, but she didn't have any idea after that. She felt slightly nervous and awkward now that the guy finally gave her attention.
"You're funny". Laksh said, followed by a light laugh. Ragini blinked when she heard Laksh's laugh. His voice was deep and a bit husky, but it was soothing, though.
"What's your name?". Asked Laksh. Ragini looked away for a second, hiding her stupid grin. Seemed like this guy was interested in her, so she answered it right away, gladly.
"I'm Ragini. You?"
"Laksh"
Ragini hummed. Laksh. Lucky. Lakku. Lakku sounds cuter. She giggled unconsciously while thinking.
"What's wrong with my name?". Laksh quirked his eyebrows.
"Nothing Lakku". Ragini blurted, then she palmed her mouth, realized that she just said it straight out of her mind.
Lakku?". Laksh chuckled. This little devil was really adorable. How did she come out with this cute name? Laksh liked it, though.
"I'm sorry. I just- didn't mean it"
"No, no. I'm fine with it"
"So, can I call you Lakku?"
"Sure. Ragu". Laksh smirked lightly. Ragini pursed her lips while thinking. Ragu sounded like a boy. But, she guessed it was fine, as long as Laksh was the only one who called her with that name.
Shall we continue study?". Laksh raised from his seat, shifting to the next chair. Now, he was sitting right across Ragini, facing her straight.
"Yeah". Ragini nodded slowly and returned her eyes back to the book. It was just a staring game between her and that book because she couldn't focus at all. How to focus when her mind was fully distracted?
"What are you reading?". Ragini peeked at the book Laksh was holding.
"Chemistry. To be frank, I failed this subject last semester, so, I need to do well this time". Laksh opened his book again, back to the page he was reading previously. Although Ragini was freaking cute, he could wait for it. The exam was more important. He didn't want to fail twice.
"Chemistry? That's my favorite. I can help if you want". Ragini offered, arching her brow cutely. Laksh chuckled looking at her adorable face.
"Really? You're so kind. Anyway, what are you reading there?". Laksh's eyes pointed at the book ragini was trying to read.
"Huh? Biology. I simply hate it. I almost regret that I registered this subject". Ragini grumbled, then she quirked her brows when he heard Laksh laugh.
"Why are you laughing?"
"I found it pretty surprising. I'm bad at chemistry, but it's your favorite. While you hate biology, I like it, though"
"Whoah. You like biology? Can you help me then? I really don't understand this thing". Ragini looked at him in awe, never thought that someone would like biology. Because the hatred was too strong.
"Of course. You scratch my back, I'll scratch yours"
Ragini gnawed her lip. She knew well of that famous proverb, but her devilish mind was imagining they're scratching each others back, literally. Skin to skin, intimately.
"Ragini?". Laksh leaned forward, startling her a bit.
"What were you thinking?"
Ragini bit her tongue and quickly chased away her little imagination.
"Nothing much. Just we were scratching each other". Ragini shrugged.
Again, she palmed her mouth. Reality hit her hard when she heard laksh's laugh. She hit her forehead repeatedly and mentally cursed herself.
Idiot! Stupid! Ragini ! Laksh must've thought that she was a freak.
"You're so cute, you know". laksh was close to pinch her cheek, but he quickly pulled his hand back.
"Thank you". That was the only thing Ragini could come out with. She was blushing hard now. Why did she suddenly feel shy? Like overwhelming shy.
"Welcome. Anyway, do you want to continue study now? Or we can study together another time"
"Hmm. I think later would be better. Which topic bothers you the most?"
"Everything. You?"
"Generally, the human body and reproductive system". Ragini tilted her head in a cute way. Laksh grinned. Teaching her about reproductive system must be fun.
"So, do you like fish?". Laksh knew it was cheesy, but talking with this cute girl was fun, sort of.
"I prefer chicken "
"Puppy or kitten?"
"Puppy!". They chuckled because they said the same answer.
"Hmm. Black or white?"
"Black". Again, they answered the same.
"Okay, next. Singing or dancing?".
"Singing". Surprisingly, similar again.
"Let me ask this time". Ragini grinned. She was curious about this one the most.
"Boyfriend or girlfriend?"
"Girlfriend". Laksh answered it alone, without any hesitant. Ragini couldn't hide her stupid grin upon hearing that.
"Why you didn't answer?". Laksh asked, a bit whining. His cheeks were slightly red tinted.
"I think you can guess". Ragini smiled mischievously.
It wasn't hard for Laksh to guess actually. Why would Ragini did all those disturbing things to grab his attention if she wasn't attracted to him?
"Are you free tonight? My exam is in two days"
"Yeah. Tonight is fine. Do you want to study here?"
"No. Come to my place. I want to study privately"
"Do you want to study human reproductive system privately? It sounds exciting". Laksh smirked slightly, and Ragini knew the meaning behind that smirk.
"It will be totally exciting". Ragini bit her lip and batted her eyelashes.
"I'll wait for tonight. Put your number here."laksh handed his phone.
"There. I saved my name as Ragu"
"Okay, Ragu. I've got to go. I forgot I have a basketball practice in another fifteen minutes. See you tonight". Laksh gathered his book and shoved it into his messenger bag.
"See you, Lakku". A wide smile crossed her lips as she watched Laksh walk away. She couldn't be happier. Not just his attention but she also managed to get to know a bit about him and she might get something better later.
Ragini picked her book and rose up from her seat. She needed to select her dress and get ready for tonight. She strolled with a triumph smile on her face. Could her day get any better than today?. This was the beginning of a new love story.
