@Baadi
(it's the wedding day of SwaLak..everyone is busy but the person who is most busy is Ragini..She keeps herself busy so that she doesn't have time to think about Laksh..Shekhar and Sharmistha notice this..They come near Ragini)
Shekhar- Ragini beta tum theek toh ho?
Ragini- haa papa hum theek hai..par aap aisa kyu pooch rahe hai?
Sharmistha (cupping Ragini's cheek)- Beta tumhe kya zaroorat hai yeh sab karne ki? inn sab kaam ke liye aur bhi toh log hai na
Ragini (Smiling)- nahi maa..hum chahte hai ki swara ki shaadi ki saari tayyariyan hum kare..aakhir ek hi toh behen hai hamari..aap fikar mat kijiye hum theek hai
(Shekhar and Sharmistha hug her..swara joins them and they have a family hug)
@Maheshwari Mansion in the evening
(The baaraat is about to leave and Adarsh goes to Laksh's room to call him)
Adarsh- Lucky tu abb tak tayyar nahi hua? shaadi karni hai ya nahi tujhe?
(Laksh is busy in Ragini's thoughts and doesn't realise that Adarsh is in his room..he is thinking why Ragini cried last night..Adarsh pats his shoulder)
Adarsh (worried)- Lucky?
Laksh (coming out of his thoughts)- Bhai aap kab aaye?
Adarsh (Teasing him)- Tabhi jab tu khade khade swara ke sapne dekh raha tha
Laksh (blushes)- Bhai bakwaas mat karo..aisa kuch nahi..wo bas main thoda nervous hu
Adarsh (Laughs)- Haa aakhir teri pehli shaadi jo hai..doosri ya teesri hoti tab baat alag thi
Laksh (Laughs)- Haa apne toh jaise shaadi karne mein PHD kar rakhi hai
(Both Adarsh and Laksh laugh..they hug each other and go down..The baaraat leaves and reaches baadi..Swara is nervous and excited as she is going to marry the one she loves..Ragini is restless..she is not able to control her pain anymore..Sharmistha welcomes the Maheshwaris with the traditional thaal)
Sharmistha (Smiling)- Andar aayiye na!
Parinita (laughs)- Arrey auntyji Ragini kaha hai? use bhi toh yaha hona chahiye tha na humare swagat ke liye..aakhir ek saali ka haq hota hai ki woh apne jiju ke joote chupaaye
(Laksh knows why Ragini is not coming down..He asks Sharmistha to call her down..All the Maheshwaris go to the Mandap and wait for swara..Sharmistha goes to Ragini's room)
Sharmistha- Ragini! Ragini beta neeche chalo..sab tumhara intazaar kar rahe hai
Ragini (wiping her tears)- Haa maa aap jayiye hum bas abhi aate hai
(Sharmistha comes near Ragini..she cups her cheek and kisses her forehead)
Sharmistha (smiling)- meri bacchi ko kisiki nazar na lage..accha abb tum jaldi se neeche chalo
Ragini- Theek hai maa
(Sharmistha leaves and Ragini follows her to the stairs..Ragini sees Laksh from the stairs..He is happy..Ragini goes back to her room as she doesn't want to disturb him..she locks the door and cries vigorously)
Ragini (Crying)- ye sab aur humse nahi hoga..humne bhale hi apne haatho se apne pyaar ko apni behen ko saup diya ho par hum bhi insaan hai..dard hume bhi hota hai..hum itne bhi strong nahi hai ki apni aankhon ke saamne un dono ki shaadi hote hue dekhe..par humari kismat itni kharaab hai ki hum toh khulkar ro bhi nahi sakte..hum nahi chahte ki un dono ki shaadi toote par hum unki shaadi mein shaamil bhi nahi ho sakte..nahi dekha jaayega humse Laksh ko kisi aur ke saath..aisa kya kare jisse unki shaadi bhi ho jaaye aur hume unki shaadi mein shaamil bhi na hona pade?
(Ragini brings a pen and paper and starts writing a note while crying)
Ragini (In the note)- MAA, PAPA, DADA JI, DADI MAA, SWARA, ANNAPURNA MAA, PAPAJI, ADARSH BHAIYYA, PARINITA BHABHI, CHACHAJI, CHACHIJI, LAKSH..HUME MAAF KAR DIJIYE..HUM ISS SHAADI MEIN SHAAMIL NAHI HO PAYENGE..HUMARA SELECTION INDIA KE EK BOHOT BADE MUSIC INSTITUTE MEIN HUA HAI AUR HUM JAANTE HAI KI AGAR YE BAAT HUM AAP SAB SE KAHENGE TOH KOI HUME JAANE KI IJAZAT NAHI DEGA..ISLIYE HUM SABKO BINA BATAYE JAA RAHE HAI..SWARA, LAKSH KA KHYAAL RAKHNA..WOH ABB TUMHARI ZIMMADARI HAI..AAP SAB KI RAGINI
(Ragini keeps the letter on the table and silently leaves the house without anyone's notice..everyone is busy with the marriage rituals so no one notices she is missing..The pandit calls swara and does the necessary rituals..SwaLak are finally married)
Sujata- maaf kijiye bhaisaa shaadi toh ho gayi par kuch khaas maza nahi aaya..dulhe ki saali ne toh dulhe ke joote chupaaye hi nahi..abb aise maza thodi aata hai bhaisaa!
(Everyone sees here and there but no one finds Ragini..Sharmistha goes to Ragini's room..she sees the note and reads it..she comes down to the hall running and then faints)
Shekhar (shouts)- shomiii!
(Shekhar reads the note and breaks down..One by one everyone reads the note..swara falls down and Laksh holds her..even Laksh is broken..he is not able to believe that his best friend left him all of a sudden without even saying goodbye..but somewhere deep down he knew the actual reason behind her disappearance)
Swara (Crying)- Ragini aisa kaise kar sakti hai? Usne ek baar bhi mere baare mein nahi socha? baba ke baare mein nahi socha? maa ke baare mein nahi socha? itni selfish kaise ho sakti hai woh?
(Laksh consoles her..Sharmistha is taken to her room and Laksh calls the doctor..doctor comes and checks her)
Shekhar (crying)- Doctor meri shomi theek toh ho jayegi na? use kuch hoga toh nahi?
Doctor- fikar mat kijiye woh theek hai..unhe thodi der mein hosh aa jayega
(Doctor leaves and everyone is silent..no one speaks a word..Sharmistha wakes up)
Sharmistha (emotionless)- Shekhar Ragini kaha hai? meri bacchi jaha kahi bhi ho use lekar aao mere paas..abhi isi waqt
(Shekhar cries and hugs her..everyone is silent..Durga Prasad breaks the silence)
Durga Prasad- Dekhiye Shekhar ji hum jaante hai iss waqt humara ye kehna aapko sahi nahi lagega lekin hume lagta hai abb hume swara ko lekar apne ghar chale jaana chahiye..waha aur bhi kayi saare rasm baaki hai..hum waada karte hai waha pohochte hi hum police mein iss baat ki jaankaari denge
Shekhar (wiping his tears)- theek hai Durga Prasad ji..aap le jayiye swara ko
(the baaraat is about to go and swara hugs her family one last time..Swara and Laksh are in one car..They are sitting on the back seat..Swara is continuously crying and Laksh is consoling her)
Swara (crying)- Ragini aisa kaise kar sakti hai Laksh? usne ek baar hi ye nahi socha ki uske baad hum sab ka kya hoga? maa ki haalat dekhi tumne Laksh? uske bina hum sab kaise jeeyenge?
(Laksh hugs her)
Laksh (With teary eyes)- Fikar mat karo swara..Ragini mil jaayegi..papa ne bhi toh kaha hai na ki woh police mein complain karenge..don't worry she'll be back
(The driver realises that the brakes of the car are failed..he tries to stop the car but fails)
Driver- Car ke brakes failed hai..aap dono ek kaam kijiye..pehle aap dono kood jayiye phir uske baad main koodta hu
(swara and Laksh look at each other)
Swara- Laksh tum kood jaao
Laksh- tum pagal ho kya? main tumhe chodke kahi nahi jaane wala..jeeyenge toh saath, marenge toh saath!
Swara (angrily)- tum aise nahi maanoge
Driver- Aap dono ko marne ka itna hi josh hai toh shauk se mariye..main toh kood raha hu
(the driver jumps..swara pushes Laksh out of the car and as soon as he reaches the ground, the car hits a tree and bursts..swara doesn't even have the chance to get out)
Laksh (Shouts)- Swaraaa!
(He is badly injured but somehow gets up and goes near the car)
Laksh (emotionless)- Tum Ragini ko selfish keh rahi thi? tum khud kya ho swara? tumne bhi toh nahi socha kisike baare mein..ye bhi nahi socha ki tumhare bina main kaise jeeyunga
(Some people gather and take Laksh to his house..everyone is waiting for them..Seeing Laksh like this, everyone is shocked..Annapurna runs to him and cups his cheek)
@Maheshwari Mansion
Annapurna (worried)- Laksh kya hua? tumhari ye haalat kaise hui? aur swara kaha hai?
(Laksh doesn't say a word and walks to his room like a dead man..All the other people who came to drop Laksh home narrate the whole incident to the Maheshwaris..everyone starts crying)
@Baadi
(Shekhar and Sharmistha are informed about the incident and both of them sit lifeless)
Sharmistha (emotionless)- humari dono betiyaan dhokebaaz nikli shekhar..done mein se ek ne bhi humare baare mein nahi socha..dono hume chodkar chali gayi
Shekhar (emotionless)- Haa shomi..humari kismat hi kharaab thi jo aisi betiyaan mili hume
@Laksh's room
(Laksh goes inside his room and sits on his bed..he has no emotions left..he lost everything on one day and that too on the day of his marriage..he is thinking about swara and recalling all the SwaLak moments)
