@next morning in baadi
(Preparations for sangeet are going on..sangeet function is about to happen at the night..Ragini is decorating the house..she is standing on the table and putting the diwali lights on the wall and suddenly she
slips and is about to fall when Laksh holds her)
Ragini (still in Laksh's arm)- Ouuccchh!
Laksh (Worried)- kya hua tum theek ho? Ragini tumhe kya zaroorat hai ye sab karne ki? yeh sab kaam karne ke liye aur bhi toh log hai na..kabhi toh baat maan liya karo meri
Ragini (still in his arms)- Laksh aap yaha kya kar rahe hai? sangeet function mein ladko ka aana allowed nahi hai..kisine aapko dekh liya toh problem ho jayegi
Laksh- party toh raat ko hai..abhi aane se kuch nahi hoga
(Meanwhile, they don't realise that Ragini is in Laksh's arms the whole time..some little kids are playing inside the house and one of them accidentally pushes Laksh making him fall on Ragini..Both have an eye lock..and then they feel uncomfortable..and then get up..Flower petals get stuck in ragini's hair but she doesn't realise it)
Ragini (shouting)- Oucch! ye bacche bhi na bohot shararat karte hai
Laksh (laughs)- Ragini iss waqt tum bilkul flower vase lag rahi ho
Ragini- kya?
Laksh- ek minute
(Laksh removes the flower petals from the hair and Ragini keeps looking at him the whole time..Laksh then shows her the petals)
Laksh- yeh dekho
(Both Laksh and ragini laugh..suddenly they hear sharmistha calling Ragini and she goes..Laksh also goes to meet swara in her room..After meeting her he goes back home and secretly plans to attend the sangeet function without anyone's notice)
@the sangeet night in baadi
(The decorations are very good..All the women are enjoying..Laksh comes and hides behind a pillar..he looks around and sees swara..A smile comes to his lips on seeing her but he doesn't see ragini..Swara is wearing a purple lehenga..she is also looking very beautiful..suddenly someone pats his shoulder from behind..he is scared to look back thinking it must be shekhar or sharmistha or dadi but he eventually turns)
Laksh (Closing his eyes)- Sorry woh mujhe kisi kaam se aana pada..I promise main abhi chala jaunga
Ragini (laughs)- Laksh aap apni aankhein toh kholiye
(Laksh opens his eyes and is mesmerised to see Ragini..she looked like a goddess..she was wearing a blue netted lehenga set..Swara is no way comparable with Ragini..Laksh keeps staring at her)
Ragini (looking at herself)- kya hua Laksh? aap hume aise kyu dekh rahe hai? hum acche nahi lag rahe kya?
Laksh (still looking at her)- Ragini you look marvellous!
Ragini (blushing)- Dhanyawaad
(someone calls ragini to sit near swara..she is about to go when Laksh holds her wrist and pulls her back..ragini is shocked)
Laksh (in a firm voice)- Dance mat karna samjhi? I am warning you
Ragini (scared)- okay Laksh
(Laksh then realises that he is holding ragini's wrist and now both are uncomfortable..He finally lets her go..ragini sits near swara and her friends pull her to the stage for a dance..she looks at Laksh who is standing behind the pillar..he signals her not to go so she doesn't go..After a while Ragini goes to the terrace and keeps staring at the moon recalling all the incidents that just happened..suddenly she hears a voice and looks back)
Laksh- thanks meri baat maanne ke liye..main nahi chahta tha ki tum phirse behosh ho jaao
Ragini (smiles)- aap yaha? kisi ne bhaga diya kya andar se?
Laksh (proudly)- ohoho please..Laksh Maheshwari ko usi ke sasuraal se nikalna mushkil hi nahi namumkin hai Miss Ragini Gadodia!
Ragini (beats him playfully)- Accha? abhi batate hai
(They both start playing like kids and suddenly ragini's foot slips and she falls down..Laksh touches her ankle and tries to move it to lessen the pain)
Ragini- aaahhh!
Laksh (worried)- ragini tum theek ho?
Ragini (in pain)- nahi Laksh hume dard ho raha hai
(and then all of a sudden ragini starts laughing and beats him playfully)
Ragini (laughs)- dekha hum jeet gaye
Laksh (laughs)- oho cheater..mujhe nahi pata tha ki tum cheating bhi karti ho
(both ragini and Laksh sit on the staircase and talk to each other..Laksh is happy and seeing him ragini is also happy)
Ragini (smiling)- Laksh aapse kuch pooche?
Laksh- haa poocho
Ragini- aap khush toh hai na?
Laksh (smiling)- haa ragini..main bohot khush hu..mujhe swara jaisi wife mil rahi hai, tumhari jaisi best friend mili..aur kya chahiye? but aisa tum kyu pooch rahi ho?
Ragini (whispers to herself)- aapki iss hasi ke liye hum apni zindagi bhi kurbaan kar sakte hai Laksh
Laksh- kuch kaha tumne?
Ragini (trying to hide her pain)- nahi toh..accha abb aap jaise aaye the waise yaha se chala jayiye..kisi ko pata nahi chalna chahiye ki aap yaha aaye the..warna sab gadbad ho jayega
Laksh (laughs)- tum sach mein fattu ho ragini..tumse kuch nahi hoga
(Laksh then goes down leaving ragini alone..Ragini closes her eyes and tears fall down from her eyes)
Ragini (smiling with teary eyes)- hum fattu nahi hai Laksh..apne pyaar ko kisi aur ka hote dekhar bhi uski khushi mein khush hona itna aasaan nahi hai..uske liye bohot bade dil ki zaroorat padti hai..jo humare paas hai..hum fattu kaise ho sakte hai?
@next morning
(It's the mehendi ceremony today..Ragini along with all other women in the house are going to put haldi on swara's body..Ragini was planning to put the haldi on swara but before she could do that swara herself takes a pinch of the haldi and puts it on ragini's face..everyone is shocked and so is ragini..This is the same haldi sent by the Maheshwaris as shagun)
Swara (laughs)- arrey kya hua? aap log ko koi bhoot dikh gaya kya?
A woman- swara yeh tumne kya kiya? jaanti ho ye shagun ki haldi thi..tum ye ragini ko kaise laga sakti ho?
Swara (laughs)- arrey aunty aap bhi kya ye puraane zamaane ki baatein lekar chal rahi hai? ye sab aaj kal nahi hota hai
(Ragini is shocked by swara's words..swara looks at ragini)
Swara- kya hua ragini? lagao na mujhe haldi..don't tell me tum bhi abb inn puraane zamaane wali baato mein believe karne lagi
Ragini (silently)- nahi swara woh...nahi kuch nahi..hum lagate hai
(everyone starts putting haldi on swara's body..The same is being done to Laksh)
@Maheshwari Mansion
(The women are putting haldi on Laksh's body and teasing him)
Parinita (teasing him)- arrey devarji aapki shaadi toh bohot jaldi ho rahi hai..zyaada intazaar nahi karna pada aapko..hume toh mahino tak rukna pada tha
(Laksh blushes and everyone laugh)
Laksh (blushes)- Kya bhabi aap bhi na
Parinita (teasing him)- Arrey arrey dekho janaab ke mann mein laddoo phoot rahe hai
(Everyone laughs again and laksh's cheeks become red)
@Baadi in the evening
(The mehendi ceremony is going on..All the girls are sitting near swara and waiting for their turn to apply mehendi..Laksh's name is written on swara's palm..seeing this, ragini is hurt but doesn't show..now mehendi is being applied on ragini's hand)
Swara (looking at her mehendi)- Ragini meri mehendi kaisi hai?
Ragini (Smiles)- bohot acchi hai swara..hum dua karenge ki tumhe aur tumhari khushiyo ko kisiki nazar na lage
(Swara and Ragini are hugging each other.."Swaragini" title track playing in the background..laksh sees this from a distance..he comes near them and joins the hug..the three of them hug each other)
Laksh- arrey waah dono behne akele akele hug kar rahi hai..hume bhi toh mauka do
Ragini (uncomfortably)- hum zara aate hai..tum dono baat karo
(Tears come out from ragini's eyes and Laksh sees this..she goes to the terrace alone and Laksh follows her..Ragini is staring at the moon and Laksh pats her shoulder)
Laksh- Kal tumne mujhse ek sawaal poocha tha..aaj main tumse ek sawaal poochu?
Ragini (shocked)- haa Laksh poochiye na
Laksh- Tum khush ho na ragini? meri aur swara ki shaadi se tumhe sach mein koi problem nahi hai na?
Ragini (smiles)- abb usse koi fark nahi padta laksh..saare rasm ho chuke hai..kal shaadi hai aapki..humare problem hone na hone se thodi kuch badal jayega?
(Ragini is about to leave when Laksh holds her wrist..he has tears in his eyes)
Laksh- Fark padta hai ragini..main nahi chahta ki meri khushi ke liye tum khud roz tadapti raho
Ragini (has tears in her eyes so looks the other way and tries to release laksh's grip on her wrist)- Laksh hume jaane dijiye..sab neeche intazaar kar rahe honge humara
Laksh (with teary eyes)- nahi ragini..mere sawaal ka jawaab diye bina tum yaha se nahi jaa sakti..main tumhe jaane nahi dunga
(Ragini pushes Laksh and runs inside the baadi and then to her room..she cries a lot..The Maheshwaris are about to go and everyone is waiting for ragini to say bye bye to them but she doesn't come out..she is scared to face Laksh after whatever happened in the terrace..Laksh understands this..he looks at his family)
Laksh- Ragini ki tabiyat theek nahi hai..hume use thodi der rest karne dena chahiye
Durga Prasad- Haa Laksh tum theek keh rahe ho..waise bhi kal shaadi hai..kal toh hume phirse aana hi padega..tab mil lenge usse
(The Maheshwaris leave..Laksh is thinking why ragini is behaving like this..meanwhile, ragini is crying alone..she recalls the terrace moments and feels like dying)
