Hey Tanni...🤗 🤗

Thanks so very much sweetie. So happy to know that you loved the portrayal of Sanskaar and Swara's growing feelings for each other; and their awareness of the depth of their own emotions. Sanskaar is always so protective of Swara, he cherishes her and would never let her fall.

I am working on my next one--its a longer, more intense piece. Might take some time. 😊 Shall PM you as soon as its up.

Cheers

Hey, a minute on the lips, a lifetime on the hips, is what Rachel's sister tells Joey in friends na? (About Pizza I guess?) 😆 😉 I just love Ferrero Rocher...and Toblerone...and Guylian. 😊

Swara truly is the epitome of Meraki na? The way she gives her all into her tasks, her activities, her commitments. But then, so is Sanskaar, because no one else could feel with every fiber of being like he does; give of himself so undconditionally and selflessly as he does.

It did strike me that they are so similar in this respect, in the fundamental thing that matters about their intrinsic natures.

I mentioned in my brief previous revert on your un-res wala comment, I just LOVED the mention of the word amaranthine in this context. I knew the word before, but hadn't thought of it in Sanskaar & Swara's context. Absolutely fabulous...and describes that timeless, immortal, eternal nature of their love so very well.

Thanks for that Japanese word 😊 Didn't know of that from before. Its lovely too, and is apt for SwaSan. I still have that fondness for amaranthine though! 😉

How's the tale of Aakhrand and Archini (and Anubandh and Agrini) coming on?

Lots of Love,

---Viji

I never knew that the line 'lifetime...' was from friends😭 I had read it somewhere and it just stuck to my mind - I remember the same each time I indulge in chocolates (bars, candy, cakes, ice cream... chocolate is simply irresistible ❤️) especially the dark ones (80% or more)

Regarding amaranthine - one of my favourite words too - I love the very sound, the way it rolls off your tongue and leaves a beautiful after-taste (a little like chocolate😉)

And the tale...moving slowly 😆

love

I am falling short of words to describe this part. The pain amd hurt of Swara has been explained so well.

Sanskaar what do I say about this man.he never ceases to amaze me, his strength of character and his understanding is so Damn good.

Happy Valentines day viji dear.

Thanks so much, Amina dear 🤗 🤗

So happy that you liked the portrayal of Swara's anguish and disappointment at the way her father and sister had betrayed her; and the way she has to come to realize Sanskaar is such an indispensable part of her life. She has come to treasure the warmth and concern he lavishes on her so affectionately. Sanskaar too, wants to ensure that he restores Swara's happiness and smile. She has come to mean a tremendous lot to him. You're perfectly right about that, he understands Swara very well indeed, and has the strength of character to redeem himself completely for whatever mistakes he committed in the past.

Hope your Valentine's Day went very well, too. 🤗

Nyna my dear...

I couldn't agree with you more on the sentences in bold above. 😆 You know, I've bought Hershey's chocolate paste jars, ostensibly for my daughter (to spread on her chapati/ bread slices). But I'm willing to wager I consume that much more than she ever does. 😉 And that too, not spread on any food item, I just gobble it generally!!

Amaranthine certainly rolls most beautifully off one's tongue...and leaves a most delicious aftertaste! 😆 And a lovely fragrance as well! BTW, all this chocolate talk is making me feel famished---and I just finished breakfast an hour and a half ago. 😆

Waiting eagerly for your next story...those characters were just so intriguing. I would probably be the first one to Res whenever you post---I'm that desperately eager to read it. 😊

Lots of Love,

.. everyone needs such a room in their lives.. and its a matter of destiny that swara thinks sanskar as her safe room .. 👏😳

.. can't wait for the next instalment when swara realises her true feelings.. 😳

Hey Uma...🤗 🤗

Thanks a ton, yaar. So, so very happy that you loved this drabble. I love the word Meraki, too. 😊 Its so very apt for the way both Swara and Sanskaar, give their all to the people they love, the actions they undertake for family and loved ones. They literally pour their heart and soul into what they do na? Its like they care with every last fibre of their being.

I truly believe, that despite all the superficial differences, this is the chord which binds them together---the fact that they are twin souls, in a sense. There are no half measures for them, as you put so very well. They give their all to their relationship, it is with all their heart and soul.

I wanted to show that gradual, sweet deepening of their emotion for each other; the steady growth of their awareness that they have come to mean more to each other than best friends.

I am so glad you liked that description of how Swara views Sanskaar. I do feel that it is very apt for what he means to her---he is like a warm, sheltering room or harbor, protectively shielding her from all the travails and storms raging outside. And she has become an extremely vital part of his life as well---he practically venerates her as the person who arrived as his salvation, rescuing him from all that bitterness and hate.

They are truly made for each other. 😳

Thanks again, Uma. I shall PM you whenever my next one is ready. Might take some time though, as I intend it to be a longer, more intense take.

Love,

Hey Rithz my dear, dear pal...🤗 🤗

I am so very moved and humbled by your very warm, very generous words yaar. You seriously made my day, I can only thank you from the bottom of my heart, for this amazingly lovely comment.

I was so overjoyed to hear how much you loved this OS, and your lovely compliments about my previous writing as well. And it means so very much, that you have named a character in your SS after me. Its such an honor, I can't thank you enough. 🤗

Coming to this OS, I wanted to show that side of Swara, the way she pours all her sincerity into her relationships, with all her heart and soul. She really does perfectly define that lovely word Meraki. And in a way, it was destiny that she should meet and fall in love with Sanskaar, because he is the person who also loves with every last fibre of his being, devotes himself with such sincerity and dedication to her, and his family.

In that very fundamental and crucial aspect, Swara and Sanskaar are really alike. They are truly soulmates because they complement and complete each other so very well.

Also, I am so very glad that you like the quotes I weave into several of my OS's. They are by my favorite authors, and are very close to my heart. So happy to know that find them apt and inspiring.

Thanks again, my dear! 🤗

Lots of Love,

A very Happy Valentine's day to you too dear! 🤗
and Thank you so much for dedication among others. 😊
and it seems that gonna learn many unique words from you! :))
Meraki!!!! seems that made for Swasan it is!! :)
just love the way, you started the chapter , this preface! so good and apt , perfectly describing Swara and then her match made in heaven, her soulmate , Sanskaar.
by the way! Do you love gardening?
another chapter starting from beautiful scenario of colorful garden. :)
Is it the flowers or thoughts of the
person who tends to them, that you
seek solace from? this line was sooo sweet!!
Swara noticing his li'l li'l gestures, his features, his gaze and still confuse!
I just love this understanding of Swasan how they tell and share each thing to each other, their fear, their feelings, their happiness and everything! :) I just love it!
so apt dialogues were here Viji!
"I'll catch you long before that, and
fly away!"
I guess, what else Swara needed to understand her feelings!
and I adore Sanskaar for realising and asking forgiveness for his mistakes again and again though so sweet Swara forgave him already!
by the way, Sanskaar turning red by his own sweet words was a treat to read! and of course the hug! that vanished all doubts of Swara!
so prefectly placed dialogues Viji!
and those quotes of writers too! so good!

I can understand why Swara is so protective of his family(though most of them don't deserve this love of Swara) but still yet to see this passionate Swara for her Sanskaar in the show! still I console myself saying , she is but director couldn't show this among melodrama! :P Hain naa!!!!
and another work Viji! eagerly waiting and yeah! still reeling in that intense, passionate and full of love kiss of Swasan from previous Valentine week OS. :))

Hey Toshi sweetheart...🤗 🤗

First of all, you are perfectly welcome about the dedication, my dear. You are one of my pals who is so motivating, encouraging me to write more. 🤗 I haven't forgotten your request to write an intense romance based on one of Rabindranath Ji's poems, I will take that up as soon as I am done with the next OS I am planning.

Coming to the word itself--Meraki. Its a superb word na? It really describes the character of both Swara and Sanskaar. Both of them give all their heart and soul, the very fibre of their being, to their endeavors for their family and loved ones, and of course, most important, each other.

I had a Reader's Digest article which came out some years ago, listing the 20 most beautiful foreign words. Saudade, Toska, Meraki were on that list---and are absolutely favorites of mine. I wanted to bring out the essence of the SwaSan relationship, the intense camaraderie and warmth their share, built around the theme of this lovely word.

I love flowers a lot, but I must be truthful, I am not really good at gardening. 😊 My In laws, especially my Mom In Law, are very good, though. Our garden (which she tends with a lot of love, care, and yes, Meraki 😉) usually wins the prize for "Best Garden" every year in our locality Resident's association. I do help her a bit, but I must confess my role is more in admiring and going all dreamy eyed at the lovely orchids, plumeria, tea roses and magnolias that my mom in law tends to! 😊

I really do think Swara was seeking solace not just in the flowers, but rather the comforting thoughts of Sanskaar, who tends to those flowers with such dedication and care. After all, he gives so much warmth and affection to Swara in a similar manner---selflessly, unconditionally, and with such intense, potent adoration.

I wanted to show a lovely friendship and camaraderie between Sanskaar and Swara here. They share their innermost thoughts and fears, and Sanskaar is so protective of her; he truly means that when he says he would never, ever let her fall. He would definitely want to catch her, hold her tight and fly away. 😉

Thanks for saying that you loved the placement of those modified dialogues from the show and the quotes, my dear. Those are some of my favorites, very memorable and close to my heart. 😊

Swara has certainly already forgiven Sanskaar, in fact, she doesn't want him to do anything for her under a sense of obligation or remorse alone. Almost despite herself, she has started basking in the warmth of his unconditional affection and care. Sanskaar may not be able to ever forgive himself fully for his mistakes, but he has felt complete remorse, and redeemed himself by being a solid pillar of support for Swara. However, whatever he is doing now for her, is out of his own strong affection and concern for her, which has steadily grown into love.

Both of them, at this stage, have started feeling more aware of the intensity of their feelings for each other. As I envisaged in this OS, they are pretty close to accepting their feelings to themselves. The confession to each other, is a little way off. 😛

I really enjoyed writing that hug, and that slight awkwardness and blushing---not unpleasant embarrassment, more like a pleasant awareness, between them. So happy you loved it too. 😊

Oh I agree with you completely, Swara on the show feels very intensely for Sanskaar, full of tenderness and warmth and passion. But CVs, as you said, hardly have time to show that between all the KavShi melodrama, and one crisis after another. The next crisis will be RagLak split when Lakshya marries someone else on the mandap! 😕

That was such a compliment, Toshi, about my last OS concluding scene! I was literally in SwaSan dreamland when I wrote that intense and full of love romance. 😳 So I am really overjoyed that you loved it so much, that OS "Toska" is so very close to my heart.

Lots of Love,

---Viji

Meraki i liked this one also it meaning⭐️... the way you explained why Swara and Sanskar are meant to be in the Formative years was so beautiful...👏 I absolutely loved the last part of it. Especially the last statement "despite all their superficial differences, whatever stuff the mysterious entity called soul is made of... in a fundamental sense, her's and Sanskars were the same after all" .❤️

Also you knew me, my favourite part of Swasan Journey is always them fighting agaisnt everyone together... And i loved Swara slow realization about her partner and how she wanted to know that he is not helping her out of obligation or guilt...Also Sanskar stating he would never forgive himself completely for what he did... Also the last part were Sanskar presence gave her peace of mind after an horrible day⭐️...

Awesome Drabble Viji👏...I Loved it and Thanks for the PM...😊

Hey Nita my dear pal...🤗 🤗

Thanks for this lovely comment, which really made my day yesterday...and sorry for my late reply as I couldn't finish reverting individually yesterday. Work was rather tight.

Hope your Valentine's Day was superb, too. 😊

Saudade, Toska, and Meraki are all favorite words of mine...There was a Readers Digest article some years back, which had a list of 20 most beautiful foreign words. These 3 were my favorites from that list, very dear to my heart. 😊 When I started getting so emotionally invested with SwaSan, it did strike me that these words were so appropriate for exploring the essence of their relationship, different facets of their bond set at different times.

I am so very happy that you felt I could do justice to their bond, exploring the theme of the word Meraki. I am so very touched by your previous amazing comments on Saudade and Toska too. I always look forward to your feedback yaar, you always give such a layered and insightful comment. 🤗 🤗

I truly do feel, that despite all their superficial differences, in essence, Swara and Sanskaar are twin souls. They both pour all their heart and soul into their relationship with each other, and their cherished bonds with family and loved ones. They truly epitomize the spirit of Meraki. 😊, they give their love with ever fiber of their being.

I loved that period of their "pretend marriage" too--so much of warmth and friendship and camaraderie between SwaSan. 😳 . Swara of course, had already forgiven Sanskaar, and she does not want him to feel obliged to do anything for her out of remorse or shame. She has started basking in the unconditional warmth and adoration he lavishes on her. Sanskaar too, might never be able to forgive himself completely for what he did to Swara; but what he is doing now, standing by her like a solid pillar of support, is because of his very intense affection for her, which has gradually grown into something more.

I really like that quote which I used here---its from one of my favorite novels, The Far Pavilions, by MM Kaye. I changed it around somewhat, in the novel, the emotion is what the hero feels for the heroine. 😉 But I felt the modified wordings suited the SwaSan situation very well---Swara does think of Sanskaar as a warm, secure place of refuge, where she would be content and protected from all the madness and storms outside.

Thanks again Nita! So very glad you loved this.

Loads of Love,

---Viji

Swara should realise by now that expending any effort on the other side of her familial line ups is such a futile exercise :P and may be better suited in channeling it towards that other intense being..

Shekhar needs a slap...why she gives this man so much bhav is beyond me...like you say...spineless father...uff...why Shomi and Swara want him as part of their life is frustrating...but chalo...i will not dwell much on that generation's pagal love..😆

Swara baby...you should totally be singing dil garden garden ho gayaa...this bhanwara is definitely lost in the bagiyan...looking for that gardener, who brings such great thoughts to your mind..act on them nowww :)

Sanskaar's unwavering support through everything else, no matter what ahs been my favourite character trait...he truly embodies the spirit of Meraki i guess...

Him saying he'll never let her fall is just so ❤️...also best hug !!! so innocently cute...and loved how you tried making him go through that handshake again 😆😆😆...i had found that extremely funny then...but the fact that he had no choice now is super :P *love how you bring bits of the show into the stories and make the result a much cuter action...true for all the dialogues as well*

Like i said the last time in your drabble series, the feeling of homecoming they share in each other's presence is what the best relationships are made of !! sweet montony indeed !

Lovely drabble Viji...totally apt for VD... !!

And will await your angsty one as well...!

Hey Priya...🤗 🤗

Thanks so much for your insightful and analytical comment as ever. Have I told you before that I love the wit you sprinkle your comments with? They make me have this happy grin whenever I read them. 😊

And I am really sorry for being late with my revert; was absolutely swamped with work yesterday and that delayed my individual responses.

Meraki is a lovely word na? I get a kick out of using Meraki, Saudade, Toska in conversations...even, on occasion, Schadenfreude. 😆 😉 My Hubby, close pals and colleagues have kind of resigned themselves to this... 😆

Seriously, I was discussing in another comment, that it is one of the ironies of Swara's life, that she devoted so much of her heart and soul in her relationships with people who didn't deserve it, not by a mile (Shekar, Ragini, Dada, Dadi, even Lakshya). She should have much rather channeled all that Meraki towards the person who would return that emotion with as much intensity. After all, Sanskaar loves with every last fiber of his being, too!

Shekar really is a spineless, gutless man. Unworthy husband, unworthy father...unworthy man, come to that. I have no clue either, why Swara got it into her head, to make it her mission to reunite her Baba and Ma. Shomi would seriously have been better off without him. But then, I figure, Swara was so desperate for that father figure, having been deprived of paternal love throughout her childhood. We aren't shown anything about her maternal Granddad---presumably he passed early. And the less said about her paternal Granddad, the better. So when Shekar did acknowledge her as his daughter, I guess that burst of joy and relief was so wonderful that she forgave him all his considerable faults. Plus, Shomi herself, for some reason, still loves him...Like you, I can't figure out why!

Sanskaar's unconditional, unwavering support for Swara; his selfless love for her truly epitomizes Meraki. 😊 I can really see him making that heartfelt statement to Swara---that he would never, ever let her fall; no matter what, he would just support her.

Hahaha, I was remembering that super cute, awkward but warm moment in the serial, where Swara almost hugged him, but he extended his hand in the nick of time for a handshake. 😊 Now she gives him practically no time or choice--flings herself into his arms literally. And truth be told, he isn't eager to fend her off, at all. 😉

Oh yes, Swara certainly is the bhanwara in the bagiyan, looking for the dashing maali. 😳 😆 That sentence of yours seriously made me crack up! Dil garden garden ho gaya! 🤣 Oh my God...😆

I couldn't resist interweaving some of those classic dialogues by Sanskaar. Completely unforgettable and so cute!

I agree with you completely---that is the essence, the wonderful warmth in their bond. The sense of homecoming and belonging they have in each others company. Truly its a sweet monotony, of knowing you can always depend on that special someone, who'll always be there for you.

Thanks so much again, Priya. 🤗

Started work on the angsty OS/2S, but I do expect to take quite some time for that. Mired in a sea of work at present, and have a coupla customers who are acting out for the parts of the Hungarian Horntail and the Norwegian Ridgeback, in Harry Potter 8!! 😉

Lots of Love,

----Viji
