Chapter 14:-

Next morning, we can see that Lakshya and Tina are sleeping on the same bed (Lakshya didn't even touch her the previous night). Suddenly, Ragini enters the room with the aarti thaal and sees Lakshya and Tina on the same bed. Her heart seems to have sunk into the ocean of tears.

"Milke bhi hum na mile

Ragini wipes her tears and removes the window curtiains. Lakshya feels disturbed by this.

Lakshya (in a sleepy voice with closed eyes)- Ahh! Don't do that, Ragini. My eyes are burning.

Ragini doesn't reply and continues with her regular "wifey" jobs. She starts cleaning the mess that Lakshya had made last night.

Lakshya (in a sleepy voice)- Ragini, don't you hear me? I said pull the curtains down. My eyes are burning.

Ragini still doesn't reply. This irritates Lakshya. He wakes up and holds Ragini's wrist tightly. She cries in pain and fear.

Ragini- Lakshya, what are you doing? You're hurting me.

Lakshya- Are you deaf or something? I told you twice to pull the curtains down.

Ragini- I'm...I'm sorry. I...I just wanted to wake you up.

Lakshya- I don't like it when you don't listen to me. Next time I ask you to do something for me, you're not gonna say no. Am I sounding clear much?

Ragini- Lak...

Lakshya (shouts)- Yes or no?

Ragini (scared)- Ye...Yes!

Lakshya- Good girl. Now go bring my breakfast.

Lakshya leaves Ragini's wrist and lets her go.

Ragini- I'll bring something in 5 minutes.

Lakshya- Bring something for Tina as well.

Ragini looks at Tina and then back at Lakshya.

Ragini- Okay.

Ragini runs to the kitchen and starts crying vigourously. Chotu sees and tries to console her.

Chotu- Bhabi, are you okay? Did he hurt you again?

Ragini (crying)- What have I done, Chotu? What's my mistake? Am I so bad that my own husband hates me? What wrong did I do to him? I never forced him into marrying me. Why does he hate me so much then?

Chotu- Bhabi, please don't cry. Lucky bhaiyya is immature. He doesn't know what's right and what's wrong. He has spent 16 years without any proper love or guidance of his parents. He will grow up soon, bhabi. He will realise your value for sure. It may take time though. You just need to be patient and let go of all the pain. Let the almighty (god) play his game.

Ragini- I don't need all this, Chotu. I don't need any of his properties, money, car or anything. I just need a little respect. Am I not worthy of that?

Chotu is about to say something when they hear Lakshya's voice.

Lakshya (shouting from his room)- Ragini, will I get my breakfast today or not?

Ragini immediately wipes her tears.

Ragini (shouts back)- 5 minutes, Lakshya!

Ragini runs to RagLak's room with breakfast for Tina and Lakshya. Chotu feels sad for her.

Chotu (in mind)- Why bhabi, why? Why do you love him so much? He has hurt you so much yet you love him like hell. Why?

Ragini reaches RagLak's room and knocks at the door. Tina is in the washroom.

Lakshya- Come in.

Ragini- Lakshya, your breakfast. Shall I keep it on the table?

Lakshya- Keep it on my head!

Ragini (confused)- Haa?

Lakshya- Of course! Keep it on the table. Where else would you keep it then?

Ragini- I'm...I'm sorry.

Ragini keeps the breakfast on the table and proceeds to leave when Lakshya stops her from behind.

Lakshya- Wait, Ragini.

Ragini turns to face him.

Ragini- Yeah?

Lakshya- Listen, I wanna talk to you.

Ragini- Say, I'm listening.

Lakshya- It's about the divorce thing.

Ragini thinks Lakshya wants to prepone the divorce. She thinks Lakshya is in a hurry to get rid of her.

Ragini- Lakshya, I know what you want to say. I know you wanna get rid of me as soon as possible but it is not possible until and unless we've spent at least 6 months together. Law won't allow us. Just tolerate me for 6 months.

Lakshya- Finished? Now may I speak if you're done with your speech?

Ragini- Hmmm.

Lakshya opens his wardrobe, starts selecting clothes and speaks in middle.

Lakshya- We're not getting divorced.

Ragini (shocked)- Wha...what? We're...we're not getting...

Lakshya turns around and looks at Ragini.

Lakshya- You heard me right. We're not getting divorced. Not now, not ever!

Ragini- Lakshya, what are you saying? Are you okay?

Lakshya- I'm perfectly fine, dear wife. I told you earlier that I'll torture you all your life. I'll not be able to do that if we get divorced. Hence, we're not getting divorced. As simple as that!

Ragini- But Lak...

Lakshya- Ragini, bring me a bucket of warm water. I need to take a hot bath today, with Tina.

Ragini (shocked)- With Tina?

Lakshya comes close to her, very close, so close that he could feel her heavy hot breath.

Lakshya (whispers near her ear)- Yes, with Tina! If you wish, I can replace Tina with you. Wanna take a hot bath with me, dear "not-so-hot" wifey?

Ragini feels shy. She keeps looking down as she isn't able to face Lakshya.

Ragini (Whispers back)- Lak...Lakshya...Wha...what are you saying?

Lakshya comes even more closer to her.

Lakshya (whispers)- Why? Don't I have the right to say such things to you? You're my lawfully wedded wife. Can't I get physically close to my own wife?

Ragini (whispers back)- You...You ca...

Lakshya holds her chin and makes her look up, staright into his eyes.

Lakshya (whispers)- Can't I? Look at me, Ragini. You still have your virginity, right? Don't I have the right to take it away from you? Don't you belong to me? Don't I have the right to turn you into a woman from a girl?

Ragini (whispers back, with teary eyes)- You can! You have the right to take it away from me. You have the right to turn me into a woman from a girl. I belong to you.

Lakshya moves away from Ragini. He starts laughing like mad all of a sudden, confusing her.

Ragini- Lakshya, what's wrong?

Lakshya- Don't tell me you seriously thought I'm gonna touch you ever. Do you really think I'm gonna make love to you ever? Never! Not even in your wildest dreams, Ragini. But I like to see how bad you crave for me. I like to see your crave to get me, to get physical with me.

Ragini's eyes start to water.

Ragini- Lakshya, I'm not desperate. I'm not dying for your...Anyways, why am I even wasting my time talking to you?

Ragini is about to leave when Lakshya speaks from behind.

Lakshya- Well, I'm lucky that my wife has never been touched by anyone before. She is clean and pure.

Ragini- In that case, may be I'm the unluckiest shit ever!

Sudeenly, Tina comes out of the washroom wearing nothing but her bikini and Lakshya's white transparent shirt on top. She hears Ragini's last line.

Tina- Actually, you're his bad luck. Look at him, Ragini. After marriage, he seems so lost and depressed. Awww my poor baby (to Lakshya)!

Tina comes to Lakshya and hugs him. Ragini feels hurt so se she looks down. Lakshya looks at Ragini. He knows she is feeling jealous. This time he too isn't liking Tina's closeness. He breaks the hug. Moreover, he is really angry at Tina for insulting Ragini but he does't know why.

Lakshya- Tina, look I know I shouldn't be saying this but Ragini is now my wife. However she is, she is my wife and I wouldn't tolerate anything against her. I won't spare anyone if he/she insults my wife. Be it you or anyone else!

Tina is shocked as shit and so is Ragini. She never thought Lakshya would take a stand for her.

Tina (shocked)- Lakshya, are you okay? What's wrong with you? You used to hate her, didn't you?

Lakshya- Yes and I still hate her. But you're none to speak in between. Its between me and my wife. Only I can say things to her, hurt her, insult her, make her cry but I won't let anyone else even raise a finger at her. I hope I'm clear enough.

Tina feels insulted. She wears her clothes in just 5 minutes and leaves from there.

Ragini (with teary eyes)- Thanks, Lakshya!

Lakshya- Don't take it otherwise. I just did my job. As a husband, its my responsibility to protect you from everything and everyone who hurts you. Now go bring some warm water for me. And yeah, wash this shirt (pointing at the shirt Tina was wearing) and give it to Chotu. I'm not using it anymore. And I want my coffee as well. Be quick! Fulfil your duties as a wife.

Ragini- Okay, just give me 20 minutes.

Ragini goes downstairs and after a while, she comes back with a bucket of lukewarm water.

Ragini- Lakshya, here's the water.

Lakshya- Get my clothes ready. I'll be back in 2 minutes.

Ragini- Okay, I'll bring your coffee as well.

Lakshya- Hmmm.

Lakshya then goes to take bath. After a few minutes, he comes out and sees Ragini ironing his clothes.

Lakshya- Ragini, where's my coffee?

Ragini- There (pointing towards the table), on the table!

Lakshya drinks his coffee.

Lakshya- Ragini, why are you ironing my clothes? Today is Sunday, right? No office!

Ragini- I know that but you must've forgotten that today you have to go to a private meeting with Mr. Arjun Singhania, the owner of Singhania Industries.

Lakshya- Oh shit! Thank you so much for reminding me. It just slipped out of my mind. But why are you ironing only my clothes? Aren't you coming?

Ragini- No. There's much work left to be done here. Chotu might need me.

Lakshya- What? No, I need you. I mean, how will I manage without you? I don't know anything about this project. I simply have no idea about it at all.

Ragini- Lakshya I...

Lakshya- I don't know anything. You're coming and that's it. Now don't make me angry. You know how bad my anger is!

Ragini- Okay.

Ragini and Lakshya get ready for the meeting. Ragini is wearing a red and black saree and Lakshya is wearing a black blazer on top of a white shirt, black trousers and black shoes. He is in full black attire.

Lakshya- Ragini, what the f**k are you wearing? This saree? We're not going to a pooja or something. Wear something formal.

Ragini- But Lakshya I don't have such clothes. I only have sarees and salwar suits.

Lakshya- Oh god! I was such a fool that I forced you to come with me. I should've let you be at home. Accha okay, now come let's go. The meeting is about to start.

Ragini feels hurt by his comments but doesn't say anything. She simply nods. They sit inside Lakshya's car and heads towards Mr. Singhania's house.

But it was nice he stood up for her when Tina tried to insult her that was nice

I am sure she will be find and everyone in the meeting will praise her for wearing a saree
