Coincidentally, red is my hubby's favorite color too. 😆 My favorite is blue.

Hahaha you're right, there was a lot of red in this OS, na? Red is the color of passion and romance after all. 😉

Regarding menfolk not attending godh bharai, I frankly don't know the reason for the custom. Its region dependent though, for my function (am a south indian), my husband and the other menfolk had to attend the main function. Just a preliminary function which involves putting bangles on the mother to be's wrists, was ladies only. But for some other regions, the entire function is ladies only, at least, that's what I've been told.

But with changing times, it's being relaxed though. These days most husbands and close male relatives do attend.
