PART 3

It was a huge study room, and feeling impressed she looked around. Against a wall, was a huge bookshelf filled with books. And another wall was full of framed photographs. Swara moved forward to have a look at those photos. As she stood there, in front of a particular photograph and was busy admiring a beautiful lady in it, she was startled by a rich baritone.
Sa: Kaun hain aap..Aur yahan kya kar rahi hain..?
Swara turned and looked into his eyes. "He is handsome", was her first thought. Sanskaar looked into her doe-like eyes, and he felt something stir inside his heart. But he was offended by her audacity, to have come inside his study room without permission.
Sa: (frowns) This is my study room..And I certainly don't like strangers invading my privacy..
He glared down at her, frowning.
Sw:(stutters) I..I am sorry..Main bas..
At that, his eyes widened and Swara was quite suddenly afraid of him. Sanskaar moved closer to her and she backed away slowly.
Sw: I must go..
And then she turned on her heel and ran from his room.
Sanskaar stood there sometime, looking at the doorway, through which she had disappeared. Then he too turned on his heels and walked back towards his work table. He sat down to work and flipped open his laptop again, but even though his eyes were scanning the content of a document, her fearful face was still etched clearly in his mind's eye. She was way beyond beautiful, he had noticed it when he first saw her face. And her face had reminded him of someone he knew, very very well.
Sa: (to himself) Par woh hain kaun..?
Then he remembered that Kavita had told him about the arrival of the wedding planners. He realized that she must be one of them. Of course, he had forgotten all about it, after attending the video conference in his laptop, some minutes earlier.
Swara came back into the hall and met with Lakshya, who was busy admiring an antique show piece, which was placed in a corner.
Sw: Lakshya..
La:(turns) Arre, tum kahan chali gayi thi, Swara..
Sw: (uncertainly) Main..?? Main bas dekh rahi thi..sab jagah..
But then Lakshya understood that she was nervous about something.
La: (concerned tone) Kya hua..Tum itni ghabrayi hui kyun ho..? Kuch hua hain kya..?
Sw:(shakes her head) Na-Nahin toh..(tries to smile)
Just then they noticed Kavita coming towards them and they smiled at her.
Ka: (smiles pleasantly) Ok..aap logon ke liye naashta tayyar hain..Aayiye mere saath..

When Sanskaar finally realized that he was only reading the document and not concentrating, he shut the laptop with an impatient sigh.
Sa:(to himself) I shouldn't have done that..! I was a bit rude to her..
Just then Kavita arrived at the open doorway and stopped cautiously, she knew Sanskaar hated to be disturbed while he was at work.
Ka: (softly)Sanskaar..Aap ke liye naashta tayaar hain..
Sanskaar looked up and decided that since he couldn't concentrate on the work at the moment, it was better to have breakfast. Getting up, he walked towards the doorway and both of them proceeded towards the huge dining area in the haveli.
There, Sanskaar was surprised to see the same girl sitting at the dining table. He thought, "Kavita didn't tell me that she had asked these wedding planners to join us on breakfast."
Swara and Lakshya looked up when they heard the approaching footsteps, which echoed inside the vast room. When they saw Kavita along with him, they stood up from their seats to show respect and waited for their hosts to join them.
Sanskaar noticed that her entire body had stiffened when she saw him walking in. She looked clearly frightened by his appearance, and this realization somehow baffled and hurt him. But his musings were interrupted by Kavita's voice.
Ka: Sanskaar, yeh hain Lakshya Gupta and Swara Gadodia from "Shaadi Mubarak" Wedding Planners. (then turning to the other two) Aur yeh hain Mr. Sanskaar Maheshwari..
With a polite nod, Sanskaar shook hands with Lakshya and then held out his hand towards Swara.
When she slipped her trembling hand in his, her breathing quickened. His palm was warm and broad, and his fingers closed around hers. She forced her gaze up the front of his white shirt, past his stubbled jaw line, until it finally collided with his dark brown eyes, which reminded her of molten dark chocolate.
She felt a jolt that made her knees tremble under his scrutinizing gaze, and her fingers tightened involuntarily around his hand.
He had sensed that she was nervous, but he was surprised when she tightened her hold. Sanskaar's eyes travelled towards their hands.
Ka: So, what are we waiting for, come on let us sit and have breakfast..
Swara came back to her senses and she loosened her grasp on his hand and instantly looked away. She sat down back on her chair and all of them began having the delicious looking Rajasthani food.

When all of them rose from their seats, after their breakfast, Kavita turned towards Sanskaar anxiously.
Ka: Sanskaar..(slowly and carefully choosing words) Err.. If you are free, could you take us around for a tour inside the haveli..Kya hain ki, main pehli baar aayi hoon yahan pe toh, mujhe zyaada kuch pata nahin hain na..
She was afraid that he was going to refuse, but to her surprise he agreed.
Sa:(nods) Ok..
Swara, Lakshya and Kavita followed Sanskaar as he began to climb the staircase which led upstairs.
Actually Sanskaar would have refused, but something about this girl Swara, was forcing himself to oblige. He knew that he won't apologize for the way he behaved with her. The word "sorry" had been deleted from Sanskaar Maheshwari's dictionary, a long time ago. But somehow he wanted to make up to this particular girl, that was why he chose to accompany them.
As they walked along a vast open corridor, lined with columns of pillars carved with intricate designs, they looked down and saw an open central courtyard in the ground floor. Then, they arrived at a hallway with walls decorated with artful frescos. When she saw huge arched glass windows made with multi coloured glass mosaics, Swara gasped audibly. Sanskaar couldn't help glancing at her as she placed a hand on Lakshya's shoulder.
Sw: Wow, Lakshya..It's amazing..Hain na..!
Involuntarily, her eyes changed direction and glanced at Sanskaar, and they widened with surprise as she saw him staring at her. She pulled away her gaze in a jiffy and acted as if she was interested in the architecture of a nearby archway.
Sanskaar blinked and looked away too unable to understand what was happening to him.
La: Mr. Maheshwari..How may rooms are there in this haveli..?
Sa: Well, we have over 85 rooms in total..
Ka: Sanskaar..Can you please show us inside any of the rooms..?
Sanskaar turned towards a nearby wooden door, which had intricate designs carved into it. He unlocked the door and opened it. The interior of the room was also embellished with fine mirror work and ivory. It was a fully furnished bed chamber with the glorious coloured glass windows. Swara's eyes travelled around the room and this time she deliberately hid her excitement, afraid that Mr. Maheshwari would again look at her.

The haveli had numerous corridors and balconies, courtyards and terraces. Sanskaar took them around each and every corner of the haveli and the other three were more than impressed with the architecture and craftsmanship of the ancient Rajasthanis.
When they finally arrived back into the downstairs drawing room, from where they had started the tour, it was already past 2.30 p.m. Kavita went off towards the kitchen to see if the cooking staff had prepared their lunch and Lakshya too went outside to receive a phone call. Now it was only Sanskaar and Swara in the hall and in order to maintain safe distance from him, Swara moved towards the opposite wall, as if she wanted to admire a mural painting. But his mere presence in the same room with her, was exuding invisible waves of an unnaturally strong force, and she could feel its intensity.
Sa: Miss. Swara..
The way her own name sounded in his rich baritone startled her and she turned her head backwards to look at him. To Sanskaar, it seemed that her widened eyes were beckoning him, "they are casting a strange power on me", he thought.
Sw:(stutters) Y-Yes, Mr. M-Maheshwari..
Sanskaar raised his eyebrows when he realized that she was still afraid of him. His idea of making up to her by his tour around the haveli had certainly not worked. He had to do something else, to convince her that he was not as rude as she thought about him.
He walked towards her, with his eyes set on her beautiful moon-like face and he tried to make his tone as polite as possible, while he uttered the next words.
Sa: So what do you think about the venue, after your inspection..?
This was the least expected question, but she was relieved that he had asked something related to her work, something she was confident of talking about. Her voice was steady this time, when she answered him, looking straight into his eyes, with confidence.
Sw: (smiles pleasantly) Well, Mr. Maheshwari..Your haveli is one of the most beautiful wedding venues I have ever been to..And we are most honoured to work with you, on this project..
Her voice was calm and composed and he knew he had accomplished his intention. A feeling of unexpected relief washed over him and he actually smiled at her, in fact a lazy grin swept across his face and reached his twinkling eyes. Swara's heart did a somersault and she found herself grinning too.
Sanskaar thought that she looked even more beautiful when she smiled.
Sa: Well, I am sorry, Swara..
The words were out of his mouth even before he realized. Sanskaar Maheshwari was actually saying "Sorry"..!!!
Sw: (smiles wide) It's ok..I am sorry..
To see her smile like that, he thought that the "sorry" was worth it.
Sw: (composes herself) In fact, I am sorry..I shouldn't have trespassed..
But two eyes were watching them from a distance, with confusion and uncertainty clearly reflecting on her face. Kavita was seeing a whole new version of Sanskaar Maheshwari in front of her and she couldn't believe it.
Just then Lakshya came towards them after attending the phone call.
La: Swara..I guess ab humein jaana chahiye..Site inspection bhi ho gaya..
He turned towards Sanskaar and Kavita.
La: (smiling politely) So Mr.Maheshwari, and Kavita M'am..Thank you so much for co-operating with us..And seriously, we had a great time..
Ka: (smiles) Par aap log humaare saath lunch karne ke baad chale jaayiyega, Lakshya..
La: Nahin M'am..Humein ab jaana hoga..Lunch hum kahin baahar restaurant se karenge..
But then to everyone's surprise, Sanskaar interrupted their conversation.
Sa: (seriously) Its already 2.45..Humare saath lunch karke chale jaana bas..!
And when he noticed Swara looking at him with gratitude shining in her curious eyes, Sanskaar felt really pleased with himself and his offer.

I sooo loved this sanskaar who was trying every attempt to please swara...

Swaras fear also very much visible in the beginning... later her relief...their shake hand... his sorry... and asking them to do their lunch... I loved everything. ...

it was awesome . i dont know how will i wait for the update. what do u want me to die of curiosity .why it was so short. i wanted to read more. I was waiting for ur third part like mad. plz pm me.now i have to wait for the next part. write it quickly. eagerly waiting for the next update.
