Was just getting in to my car for a massive drive home hence the earlier Res and smug haha as I had managed to get in first- childish Shru 😃.This letter reminds me (not that I need a reminder really) of why I became a fan of your writing when I was searching for really good fiction that I could connect to on the Forum. That was when I "found" you and Viji.It gets to grips perfectly with a complex and not easy to love character. Everyone (to an extent) can justify heroes and heroines- not that much to justify, just to glorify perhaps. But when someone analyses a negative character sensitively and makes you understand what they may be feeling and why, that to me marks the person capable of good writing. You may agree or disagree with the character's reasoning but like with literary character analysis- there is no "right" or "wrong", you are not there to pass judgment but acknowledge the psyche of that character and I salute you for doing that so well with Ragini.I loved the references in particular to the prince, who was actually the Pied Piper, playing the tune that lured the rats to their watery death. And the Charon analogy- 👏👏. I have forever been fascinated with the Ferryman and the visions of the coin having to be given to ensure safe passage, redolent of so much Greek mythology I have always been hooked on.I also like the cold and calculating Ragini (like used entirely in context!)- even in the show it provides a fascinating, if repellent, dynamic, like a good villain should. I find more to explore in Ragini than Swara for sure and this letter nailed it for me. Ragini is now a person gone that step too far- nothing in a sense to lose as she's already lost it, or so she thinks. There is always however a lower level to fall to in Hell- you can keep creating the levels as you keep losing your foothold more and more but here, quite rightly, she won't see that. I also loved how her rose tinted glasses about Lux ji are now so off, they will never have the same glow again even if she puts them on ever.It was chilling to read her almost offhand desire to perhaps also snatch everything from SwaSan- which she will of course if she can.Really enjoyed it, like, a lot! Awesome!Love always, S x

Aww!! Thank you. Will try to write something on saanskar n ragini once I find some free time from uni work. But I doubt I could bring in the depth you have brought out. I really loved how you described her childhood. From the sweet nerdy girl to this mistress of manipulation.

Great letter! I haven't read your other letter series but this one certainly caught my attention. Wow! I believe everyone who has seen Swaragini will most definitely agree with your understanding of Ragini's character. The way you have brought out the past Ragini and reasons for her turning into the present Ragini is just fantastic. Her love for Lakshya and her response to his betrayal, too good! Ragini has so many colors and unexplored parts of her that need to be brought out. Thank you for doing such a splendid characterisation. Putting something like this into words is just mind blowing. Keep writing. :)

P.S.: Waiting for letters written by Lakshya to anyone. That would be a greater challenge because at the moment he seems to be the most frustrating character on the show. ;)

I am rooting for Ragini as well! I like her character and ever since she stopped shedding tears, she has become more attractive than others. I want her to make a fool out of Lakshya who is her biggest culprit. And my feeling is that SwaSan will not really unite and find happiness until Sanskaar also makes it up to Ragini. After all, he too had a hand to some extent in her turning out as she did and while he has made it up to Swara (in fact more than needed!), he still needs to put things right with Ragini. Swara may realize her feelings for Sanskaar, but I am sure actual union is going to be delayed until Ragini has worked out all her frustrations. I love Sanskaar and Ragini in this show...I wish for more scenes between the Guru and Shishya and finally Guru pulling the Shishya out of her hell.
