"Sanskaar Maheswari- the son of an entirely unremarkable father and a silly mother" this is so true..lol.. I also thought the same thing about them.. Loved the call of the blood portion and the rest part is also brilliant.. KEEP WRITING.. WAITING FOR NEXT TWO..

Hey Purbi! Thank you so much for this, glad you liked it! Lol re that line- me too!!! Next one is up i.e. to DP so another one to be penned in a few days 😳

Kudos to that imagination of yours! Who would have thought just some sentences in a letter from a son his father could make you see the otherwise unbefitting father in a completely different light?

This post speaks so much about the little boy and how he came to be Sanskaar.

They are the scions of Durga Prasad and Annapurna Maheshwari, two names that are almost legend in their own unique ways in our community. Their parents deeds shine so bright, the sons can bask in that reflected glory very comfortably and never fear being found to be judged inadequate.

Though these lines portray the deep rooted, ever existing feelings of constant comparison and "never being good enough" that Sanskaar grew up with,
I'm glad that it happened. It might make me seem a sadist and twisted. But I really am. I'm happy that Sanskaar was Suju and RP's son and not AP and DP's. It's true when they say, experience and people mould a man.

That challenge is reserved for Sanskaar Maheshwari- the son of an entirely unremarkable father and a silly mother. Sorry Dad- but you do know that this is what everyone thinks about our immediate family unit. But they won't anymore, I have seen to that. ( OMG! How I love this man!❤️)

Sanskaar would never be Sanskaar, if it weren't for this past of his.( Another Adarsh or worse another Lakshya? The very thought makes me wanna barf🤢) *shudders*

Another fantastic one from you Shruthi. You guys really are making me almost want to try my hand at writing. Keyword being almost😆( I don't have the nerves or as much talent I'm afraid)

Now before I end my babble, my favorite line of the letter -

Your son in more ways than anyone knows,

Sanskaar

I think it clearly sums the entire letter up.( It actually made me curious. I have this bad habit of always getting to the last line of the post before I start reading the whole thing. I know weird 😆)

Having read this, I seriously cannot ignore RP in the show now. I will always imagine him being B&W Sanskaar. Okay.. maybe not!🤢 😆 But I will always remember him as "the Ram before Laxman was born".
I really hope that RP's character in the serial would by some miracle have a back story similar, if not as monumental as this one is. I really don't understand what that actor is paid for😕. He literally does nothing.😆

Geetha 🤗 thanks as ever. You know- you are one of my readers that really amazes me with how much she distills from what I put down and I love reading your take on what I wrote, seriously! I so think there is a writer in you. Someone who reads like that and gets all that must be able to write 😉

Shruthi huny, so sorry... been busy and my inbox is kinda flooded so yet to dig into few days old stuff but I have started reading from this and I must say I eager to read the other ones if they are in the same vein! This is awesome! Especially the made up background story of the most mute character in the show! I'm truly baffled as to how u came up with such a perfect backstory which may as well be true! I mean it has a solid ring to it ! A huge kudos gal!!

Now I really wish in future they actually show us a track based on RP... something on similar lines... And this thought is entirely because of this piece of writing! So once again... GREAT WORK!

PS: I love the title. Gives a business like feel to it...Just like Sanskar is most of the times... All to the point not fancy sugar coating.

Niki! 🤗Thanks so much hon, and don't say sorry- I'm in sort of the same boat- working madly and then rushing home and writing so time is in short supply . So glad you like this and hope you will enjoy the rest if you get time to read them- have posted the links and just put one up to DP too! Lots of love xoxo

Hey! Wow- am so thrilled with your lovely comments! You actually made a special exception to comment on mine? 🤗 Thank you so much! Oh, you too want a letter to Ragini too? She wasn't on my list but it seems lots of people want this so I am going to have to think on this- I have some ideas I am mulling over. I started this series without a fixed idea except to write a rant to Lux and it has now morphed to this 😆. But seriously, you all are my total motivation and keep me going! Please do keep commenting and interacting with us! What's your name btw? I'm Shruti or Shru/ Shruts, whatever you prefer 😳

Yes please, a letter to Ragini would be much appreciated, I liked you letter to DP as well, can't wait to read the one to Swara a because Swasan! ❤️ Also my nickname is Sapna, so you can call me that. 😃

Hey girl! Another sixer from you! Awesome, awesome, awesome!

I know I said the letter to AP was the best but having read this one I have to say now this one is by far your best letter in the series. I can't express how much I loved reading this one! I know they don't have much of a backstory for RP but the way you picked up various nuances to weave them into the letter is remarkable. I think this was the most heartfelt of Sanskaar's letters and it brought out what I've always felt about father and son: they both are a victim of silence of sorts. Most of what goes through Sanskaar's mind stays inside, we only see glimpses of it. Similarly, RP doesn't speak up but we can infer from snippets here and there what he may be thinking. Sanskaar in many ways is a lot like his father, now at least after having suffered in life like RP once did. I'm sure the younger versions of both these men were indeed carefree and fun-loving. I often feel like requesting the writers to show more father-son moments...this is such a gaping hole in the current story! 😆 But if at all they were to delve into RP's past, I'm confident it would be exactly what you have brought out.

I loved that you mentioned how RP used his "get out of jail free card" - that scene I found very touching precisely because RP broked his never-ending silence to bail his son out and beg his brother for mercy.

Please keep writing these wonderful letters - you are making us all fall in love with Sanksaar all over again as you give us a window to his thoughts! 😃

It is a pity hindi shows don't bother with side characters. If only they realized how important they are in shaping the leads. Loved the letter.

Awww- that's such kind words - thank you! In some ways, I enjoyed this the most as I had free rein to create a story myself which is what I always find easier in a way. Hopefully I did it in a way that kept the consistency with the character we see on screen as I don't like to totally depart when writing fan fiction. Thats the issue with indian shows- they never want to focus on other bonding etc except in a cheesy and annoying way 😆. I'll keep writing as long as you all keep reading 😉

Thank you Shruti- exactly my pet hate too with indian shows. Mindless drama and leads but even with leads they sometimes go totally cuckoo! 😡. Glad you liked it! x

Wow...wow ...wow..
Loved it...loved how you gave RP a back story...because we have been shown none at all..and from all that we have seen...hes a non-confrontational kind of person who like Laxman follows his Brother Ram aka DP...blindly...

The only instance that we saw him show fatherly love...concern and step up for his Son ...was when he begged DP to forgive his son on his behalf...

Loved that scene too...we got to see Ram Prasad as a human being with feelings emotions etc..

Awesome letter once again and so far I have loved them all...

All of the Perfect...

Okay am off to read the next one that got me started with all of then...
