Swara-Sanskar-Laksh OS 'Made in Heaven'

She rushed into the bathroom and turned on the shower.

She was late. The ceremony was going to start at anytime.

She came out with her wet hair. They seemed to hug her body, the ice cold crystal droplets were clinging to her frosty skin.

She came near the window and started drying them.

Then she got ready in her lehenga. It was a beautiful lehenga with stunning gold detail on the royal blue.

She looked into the mirror and wore her matching bangles. The bangles fell to the soft skin part way down her arm and lay glinting in the afternoon rays, bright against her skin. She extended the end of a bright, pink gloss and glided it over her lips, puckering them slightly as if to suggest a kiss.

She filled her maang with the red sindoor and wore her manglasutra.

She was finally ready. She looked satisfied into the mirror 'Not bad' she commented looking at herself.

She took her dupatta and went towards the door, as she opened it she found her hubby waiting for her.

He looked at her. Her hair was a rich shade of ebany. They flowed in waves to adorn her glowing skin.

Her eyes, framed by long lashes, were brown warm and sweet like milk chocolate and seemed to brighten the world.

Had she smiled, the world would sigh with contentment. Had she laughed, the world would laugh with her.

'Of course. Am i looking fine?' she asked adjusting her dupatta.

He looked at her 'Hmm no, something is missing'

'What?' she asked worried. 'Manglasutra is here, sindoor, bangles,earrings. What's missing?'

He entered the room and searched for something. He went near the dressing table,opened the drawer and took out a small white packet.

She reached him,'kya hai?'.

'Bindi' he replied smiling, he took it out and applied it on her forehead. 'Now you are looking perfect'

She smiled at him. 'Chale abhi?'

'Ladies first' and followed her out of the room.

'Swara?' a voice coming from downstairs said.

'Aayi mom' and rushed downstairs.

Sujata was looking for her.

It was a special day today. Laksh was getting engaged with Sanaya, Swara's best friend.

In those 3 years lots of things happened.

Finally Ragini's truth was out, after lots planning Swara and Sanskar succeded in their mission.

Laksh was left heartbroken after knowing the truth, he was feeling guilty for all his mistakes.

Ragini's words still sounded in his mind ' Yes i tried to kill my sister, i tried to separate my parents. I did it just for you Laksh, because i love you.'

They divorced after a few weeks, he was not able to live with that girl.

It took a lot of time to Laksh to overcome that betrayal.

It was a crumpling feeling; everything seemed too fast to comprehend He was living a pain which was deeply frustrating, he felt angry, with himself. How could he not believe Swara?

He couldn't believe at what Ragini said at first. 'That girl did everything?' was his first thought.

The ground beneath his feet started falling away in a dark abyss. Why did she do so? Oh of course she loved him na?

Ragini left the house, shockingly without protesting and went to live with her mausi in Delhi.

Swara realized her love for Sanskar. Their marriage took place before Ragini's truth was out and they had to marry under pressure. They had no choice.

But now they are living a happy life.

Adarsh and Parineeta's problems were solved. She forgave him and gave a 2^nd chance to him to rectify his mistakes. They have been blessed with 2 children, a baby boy and a baby girl: Akash and Isha.

Sanskar helped Laksh to come out of that trauma and forget Ragini and move on his life.

It was not easy, but with the help of all the family, he did it.

He met Sanaya at a party. She is Swara's bestfriend, who came to India after studying abroad in Canada.

They spent together some time and on Swara and Sanskar's suggestion they decided to get them married. After some initial uncertainty Laksh and Sanaya accepted.

And today it was their engagement.

'Bohut acchi lag rahi hai mahri bahu' she said all smiling, and applies her a kala tikka. 'Sanaya tayar ho gayi beta?'

'Mom, wo mene abhi nahi dekha,mein abhi upar ja kar dekh kar aati hoon'

'Sanskar kaha hai?'

'Mom yahin to tha Sanskar, he must be on phone as always'

Sanaya was getting ready. It was an important day in her life, she was going to start a new life with Laksh. She was having mixed feelings; she was excited for starting a new life, nervous for her decision.

She looked herself into the mirror 'in some time i will be Sanaya Laksh Maheshwari'

'Excited?' said a voice coming from the door. It was Swara. 'So kesa lag raha hai? You are going to get married soon'

'Swara i don't know, i'm a bit tensed you know.. Does every girl feel like this before her marriage?'

'Sanaya, don't worry, everyone goes through this phase of life. Everything will be fine, and about me, well you know in which circumstances we got married. We were somehow forced to get married, but i don't regret marrying him. I found a loving, caring life partner in Sanskar; someone who can understand me. Even though i can't bear his jokes sometimes, but it's okay, chalta hai'

Sanaya smiled at her 'well i can see the love between you and Jiju, you are made for each other,right?'

Swara blushed, hearing this.

'Well said Sanaya' said a voice coming from Swara's back. 'We are made for each other, kyun Mrs?', Sanskar entered the room and gave a side hug to Swara.

'Sanskar?'

'Ahem ahem,koi abhi keh raha tha that my jokes are really bad, kyun?' he said coming closer to her.

'Sanskar i said sometimes, not always Mr' said Swara, gently pushing him on the side.

Sanaya was just staring at them, with a smile on her face 'i wish to share this kind of relationship with Laksh' she thinked in her mind.

Swara looked at her 'kya soch rahi ho? Oho, let me guess.. Laksh?' said in a teasing way.

'Swara tu bhi na?'

'Sahi to keh rahi hai Shona, Laksh ke baare mein nahi sochogito phir kiske baare mein?' added Sanskar.

'Jiju, aap bhi Swara ki side le rahe hai? Not fair haan'

'Agar tum logo ki baatein khatam hogayi ho to neeche chale?' said AP coming in the room. 'Sanaya beta, tayar ho?'

Sanaya went to take her blessings. 'Khush raho humesha'

'Swara, Sanskar tum bhi jaldi neeche aa jayo theek hai?' and goes with Sanaya downstairs.

Swara tries to follow them, but is stopped in the midway by Sanskar, who pulls her from behind in a tight hug. He put his arms around her waist and his chin on her shoulder 'Where are you going?' whispered to her. She blushed and tried to free herself from his hug 'Sanskar, we have to go down, everyone is waiting'

'They can wait Swara, right?' he said, slowly.

'Sanskar' and seizing the right opportunity run away from there, showing him in a teasing way her angootha.

'I will see you Swara' he said shaking his head and coming out of the room.

In the hall everyone was waiting for the dulha. Laksh was still in his room.

'Mom i'll go and check' said Sanskar.

He reached there and looked for him in the room. He wasn't there. Sanskar started panicking, 'where is he? Kahi wo... No no' and started looking for him. 'Laksh? Where are you?'

He saw him standing near the window. He was looking outside with a worried expression.

'Laksh, you are here? I was looking for you everywhere. Why are you here? Chalo let's go, today is your engagement. Aren't you happy?'

'Bhai, i'm worried. Will everything be fine?'

He goes near her and put a hand on his shoulder 'Laksh, dekho i know it's a big day for you, and you are nervous, but you are taking the right decision and we are all with you. Sanaya is a nice girl, you both will stay happy.'

'Bhai i wish so. I know she understands me but i'm not sure whether i will be able to keep her happy or not..'

'You will, and i'm sure of that Laksh. Now let's go, everyone must be waiting for us hm.'

Everyone downstair is tensed, Sanskar didn't return with Laksh yet. They feel relieved as soon as they see both of them coming.

Laksh sit near Sanaya and looks at her with a slight smile; she smiles back. Both are lost in each other eyes, but are interrupted by an 'ahem ahem'. Parineeta smiles at them.

'We should start the ceremony' says DP. AP goes to take the rings to exchange.

Both of them exchange the rings, while everyone claps happily.

'Swara, isn't the ceremony too silent? Thoda music ho jaye kyun?'

'Of course Bhabhi' and looks at AP and Sujata for agreement. Both of them nod smiling.

Music starts.

Swara and Parineeta dance on the song Chittiyan Kalaiyaan, while Sanskar and Adarsh look at them.

Everyone enjoyes the music.

Next Swara and Sanskar and Pari Adarsh dance together on the song Mauja hi Mauja and Radha teri chunari.

They invite Laksh and Sanaya to dance as well, who happily join them on the floor with all the other family members.

After the dance party, AP asks Swara to go and get some sweets muh meetha karne ke liye from the kitchen. She goes to take the sweets ki thali.

She takes the thali, but when she turns back she sees Sanskar standing in the doorway, stopping her.

'Tum yahan? Kya kar rahe ho Sanskar? Kuch chahiye?'

He slowly go towards her; she steps back and he keep going closer. At a certain point she found herself against the kitchen wall. 'San.. Sanskar' were the words she could whisper at that moment.

He leaned towards her, she closed her eyes.

'Chachu! Kya kar rahe ho?' It was Akash, Pari and Adarsh's 3 years old son. 'He interrupted them on a wrong moment' was Sanskar's first thought.

'Akash, yahan aayo beta' said Sanskar. 'Aap yahan kya kar rahe ho?' he asked taking him in his arms.

'Chachu, aap kya kar rahe the chachi ke saath?'

Swara's face turned red and tried to divert his attentions somewhere else. 'Akash, wo apke chachu ko na kuch chahiye tha, isiliye..'

'Lekin wo aapke itne paas kyun the?'

'Akash kitne sawaal karte ho? Hmm chocolate chahiye? Yeh lo' and takes a chocolate bar out of his sherwaani.

Without thinking Akash takes the chocolate and runs away from there, smiling but is stopped in the midway by Sanskar 'Akki, ruko. Bahar jaa kar kisi ko mat btana ki tumne mujhe aur Shona ko yahan..yahan dekha, okay?'

He nods. While running he clashes with his mom, Pari. 'Akki, kahan ja raha ho itni jaldi? Aur yeh tumhare haath mein kya hai?' noticing the chocolate in his left hand.

'Mamma, wo chachu, chachu ne chocolate' and he opened the chocolate's bar. It was a smooth, silky milk chocolate bar, mouth watering one.

'Akki you know you should eat less sweets, right? Aur Sanskar bhaiya kitchen mein?'

'Chachu, chachi paas paas..' and run away from there.

She smiled, understanding what was going on there.

Swara and Sanskar were still standing there, in the kitchen. After some time she realized that AP and Sujata must be waiting for her outside in the hall. She tries to leave, but again Sanskar stops her, holding her hand.

She felt thousand of butterflies in her stomach flapping their wings to the beat of the heart. Her face turned as red as a rose. Red leaked into her cheeks as she nervously smiled and bit her lip. She looked away nervously, but she couldn't hid the red glow that came over her face.

'Sanskar..' was the only word she could whisper. He pulled her closer, she closed her eyes.

'Swara?'

'Oh no not again' thinked Sanskar. It was Pari bhabhi, who interrupted them, now.

As she saw them, she turned her face 'Ops, sorry, wrong timing i guess'

'Bhabhi, your timing is always perfect' said sarcastically Sanskar. 'I better leave'

Swara and Pari smiled at him. 'Swara, mom is waiting for you outside, chalein?'

Laksh and Sanaya were sitting, looking in opposite direction. It was a kind of awkward moment for them.

'Sanaya..'

'Laksh..'

Both said together and smiled.

Swara joined them with the sweets along with AP, Pari and Sujata.

AP gives them sweets and blesses them.

Sanaya has teary eyes, and AP notices this 'kya hua beta?' she asked worried.

'Maa.. i mean aunty..'

'You can call me maa, beta'

'Maa.. i'm so blessed to have a family like this. I lost my parents when i was only 2 years, and my grandparents brought me up. Then i met Swara and her family. They always treated me like their daughter; and now i've met you. I'm so lucky'

'Lucky? Tumne kabse gender change karli aa Sanaya?' replies laughing Sanskar, trying to divert their attention.

Everyone laughed at him.

'Sanaya, i promise you, i'll always keep you happy' adds Laksh looking at her.

'Swara raat ki tayari ho gayi? Mehndi ki?'

'Yes mom, everything is ready, don't worry. Tonight's function will be shandaar.'

The sun drowned in the horizon, it's rays of light glimmering in the darkness of the clouds faded and the pale moon peeked from the stars.

Tayaariyan was going on in the MM. It was Sanaya's mehndi.

Swara was changing her clothes. She was wrapping an end of a red saree with reflective stones around her waist and the other one over her shoulder.

'Swara ready?' said Sujata coming into her room. 'Everyone's waiting for you'

'Ji mom, ready. Shall we go?'

Sanaya and everyone else was ready downstairs. Everyone was looking beautiful in their attire.

Sanaya was getting on her mehndi.

'Swara tum bhi aa jayo na?' said AP 'tum bhi mehndi lag waalo'

'Badi maa, kitchen mein kuch kaam hai mein baad mein aati hoon, okay?'

'Ab keh kaampadh geya thare ko Swara. Chup chap mehndi lag waale, naukar hai ghar mein kaam karne ke liye theek hai?'

'Jo hukum mom' she said laughing.

Sujata changed a lot. After Ragini's truth was out, everyone praised her for having a bengali bahu.

'Sujata, tumhari kisat bohut acchi hai, jo tumhe Swara jesi bahu mili. Marwari nahi hai to kya? Sanskaari hai chori' commented lady after getting to know Ragini's truth. Sujata felt proud at that moment 'her bengali bahu' was better than anyone else.

It took a few time, but at the end she accepted her with open arms. They have established a beautiful relationship at which Sanskar commented 'kisi ki nazaar na lage, aap dono saas-bahu ki jodi ko.'

Swara sat near Sanaya to apply mehndi on her hands. She was looking for Sanskar, but she knew gents were not allowed in this function.

'What's your husband name?' asked the girl applying mehndi.

'Sanskar' she replied with a proud feeling.

She wrote his name on her hand and Laksh's on Sanaya's hand.

'Koi naach-gaana nahi hoga kya?' said Sujata looking at Swara, Pari and other girls.

Music starts:

They dance on Jab mehndi lag lag jave song, and Sanaya joins them to shake a leg on the floor.

Laksh was looking at her from upstairs with a bright smile on his face.

Sanaya looked at him, and blushed, turning her face. She smiled, just a little smile at first, but as it grew itpressed her rosy cheeks up. Finally the smile reached her eyes, lighting them, causing them to crinkle at the corners. In that moment she was everything Laksh had ever hoped for, she was everything he would ever need.

Sanskar came there with a camera around his neck. 'Smile please' and took their pic.

'What are you doing here?' asked Sujata, giving a weird look at his son 'Don't you know, gents are not allowed here'

'Mom, gents are not allowed, but camera-man are, right?'

'Not at all' said Swara interfering between the maa-beta conversation.

'Yes Swara is right, chaalo jayo Sanskar' approved Sujata.

'Mom not again, you taking Swara's side and not mine. Not fair huh. Anyway you are looking gorgeous today in this pink saree mom, can i take a pic of yours?'

'Haye, sach? Haan kheech kheech' and posed for a pic.

'Mom aapko maska laga raha hai Sanskar' added Swara shaking her head.

'Ke? Apni maa ko maska laga raha hai? Ruk' and pulls his ears.

'Ouch mom, dard ho raha hai. Sorry sorry.'

'Chal ab yahan aa geya hai to sabki tasveer leh. Chalo jiji, Pari' and the ladies poses for a pic.

'Swara, wo mein tumhe kisi se milwaana chahti hoon, aa mere saath' said Sujata taking Swara with her.

Sanskar followed them, secretly and secretly took Swara's pic.

She was looking divine. 'Her face was formed so perfectly in the Creators factory; she had magical eyes; she is always warm, kind of like an aura that blossomed off of her when she was happy. She has the best smile ever, and just seeing her smile made him smile.'

After the function took place, Swara reached her room. She wanted to show her mehndi to Sanskar and wanted him to find his name there.

She looked for him, but he was not there. 'Where can he go, at this time?' questioned herself.

'Looking for someone?' asked a voice from her back. 'Looks like you can't stay even for a minute without me madam'

'Sanskar? Well you can say that, anyway i want to show my mehndi design to you. And i challenge you to find your name here' she said extending her hands to him.

He hold her hands and looked for his name. As soon as he found it, he gently kissed it.

'Sanskar do you know the darkness of the mehendi colour on a girl's hand shows the deep love between the couple; the mehendi's colour also shows the love and understanding between the bahu and her mother-in-law and the longer the mehendi retains its colour, the more auspicious and lucky it is for the couple' she said with a glowing smile on her face.

'Then i'm sure the mehndi's colour will be very dark'

'How?'

'Well you have a very good bonding with mom, she always take your side, like before..'

'Ohh, jalne ki boo aa rahi hai mujhe' Swara said teasing him.

'Not at all Swara, you know i'm really glad that mom has accepted you' keeping his hand on her shoulder 'Swara ek baat puchu? Humari shaadi kuch eese halaato mein huyi ki hum kuch kar nahi paye. We were forced to get married..'

'Sanskar i know we got married in some difficult circumstances, but i don't regret it at all. Infact i'm really glad to have you as my husband. You are my support,my best friend, my love. I'm blessed to have you in my life. And i just hope that Laksh and Sanaya's life will be full of happiness.'

'I love you Swara'

'I love you too Sanskar' and rested her head on his shoulder.

He looked at her with his gleaming eyes and brought her to his warm hug; Swara sank her face into his chest as if to ask him to never let her go and she put her arms around him gently.

The large full moon shone in the night sky; a cream disc suspended in the velvet sky. The reflection of the moon made the whole room glow, casting a silver veil of glare. The sun rays had long since disappeared over the horizon to be replaced with thousands of stars; a light breeze rustled the leaves.
