Rituraj was good on Saturday but didn't enjoy the third song much..looked under prepared.

You can never ever get tired of listening to them. Pancham & his compositions. We get spoilt for choice. Lata-kishore- rafi- Asha with RD, created a world of magic where it’s just you , the universe & the music.👌

Btws, you forgot to mention Tum Aa Gaye ho ( Aandhi)

Last year on a trip to Kashmir , we were at Anantpur ruins where Tere Bina was filmed; also pari Mahal I think for Tum Aa gaye ho. Got on a nostalgia trip & we ended up playing Aandhi songs throughout in the car. 🤗

One more suggestion for Felix. Also listen to Humein Tumse Pyaar Kitna of Parveen Sultana. Another eg of how different yet unique both the renditions are - kishoreda as usual leaving his stamp. 👌

Never made a conscious effort to listen to old songs tbh, my only exposure to Burman magic comes from the songs we hear on reality shows. But I've really come to appreciate R.D Burman songs watching this show. They creep on you slowly, much like ARR songs. Remember Pyaar Hume Kis Mod Pe Le Aaya? I hated it the first time I heard it on IBD, like literally HATED and wrote long rants on how awful I find that song. Having heard it a few more times, lately in DDJ and SSS2, I can safely say it's one of my favorites now 😆

Can say the same about these songs you suggested. Mere Naina Saawan Bhado by Lata was okay. Also, much much better than Mani's version lol, the entire feel is different. Hearing Kishore Kumar's version elevated it a bit more. Though my favorite one among these was Iss Mode se jaate hai. So relaxing ❤️ Found one relatable comment on one of the videos - "In the era of Goa wale beach me, these songs are still soothing our souls after a tiring day of hard work 😌❤"

2nd July Dharamji special

Vishwaja - Pratyush :- Pratyush struggled with the first song, was ok in the second. Vishwaja is shaping up so well.👍 She is becoming my Nihal of Idol - growing into me steadily. I think she is at her best when not singing with Sayli.

Pranjal - yet again with an avoidable bengali prelude. Tum pukar lo is an iconic song which has its own pull. 💕 He did well overall, but I still feel he stretches some lines unnecessarily, like the first 2 of the antara. The band was awesome - 👌👌, these kids are blessed to sing live with Girish sir’s band.

Rituraj :- Na jaa , Aaj Mausam, Tera peecha na - 3 different songs - getting the feel bang on is incredible! Na jaa was exceptional, I wished he had continued with it instead of the 3rd song.

Sayisha - flawless as expected. HR’s comments sum up everything about her so far 👍

Salman -Soyab :- decent; but going by soyab’s level, it could’ve been better, But may be I didn’t enjoy it so much since this number is done to death & I am not so gung ho about it either.

Mani - someone had mentioned in the promos thread about the scale - I felt the same.It couldve been a tad lower. He was good overall esp in the lower notes.

Faiz-aru:- we are seeing more & more of the old Faiz now. His voice suits Rafisaab’s songs well. Aru of course nailed it. Hence all the more commendable that Faiz stood out. 👍. He also did well in the tribute segment.

Chetanya - Danish. Didn’t enjoy at all. Somehow I can’t connect to Chetanya’s tonal qlty ; may be a few years down the lane he will sound better for me.
