Hey Hunters,

Misha Collins aka our adorable angel Castiel has been announced a regular in Season 9 and he will also be directing an episode for the first time. Sooo happy!! Always wanted him to be a regular!

This has been confirmed by several members of the Supernatural team on Twitter, including Misha himself.

Misha - "I don't think the feathers to the offices campaign was what saved the angel, but it does look like i'm going to be a regular for season 9."

Jim Michaels - co-exec producer - "Looking forward to hazing @mishacollins during the directing prep process of #SUPERNATURAL in season 9! Any suggestions?"

Tara Larsen - works with Jim Michaels - "Congrats to @mishacollins who will be directing an episode of#supernatural in season 9."

That's a good news! :) Wasn't he a regular already? I mean he was promoted to a regular in season 5, then 6, then 7, then 8 and now for 9. Or there's a difference between regular and recurring character?

@husna..yeah recurring star and regular are different...reccuring stars are like guest roles...but regular star will have his name included in the credit list.. for one,,

and recurring star may not in need to be seen in consecutive episodes..but regular does..

Wow , amazing piece of news indeed !!! It made my day . Lovve my Angel of the Lord to bits na . Want to see Cass getting equal importance n screen time as winchester brother . MC is immensely popular so if he comes as regular in the season 9 , the trps will be rocket high :-D
Looking even more eagerly forward to the epi directed by MC .

^ Hahaha you know, even Jensen joked about it during the Vegas Con that Jared hasn't given him much of a hard time during his episodes but he might be saving it all for Misha and in that case, M may not come out alive. 🤣
