I had trouble finding words to write this chapter, I felt I was repeating some dialogues..but I've tried to be as creative as possible with the scenes..hopefully they do seem original and if its not how you imagined this chapter.. I apologize in advance. hopefully, still a good surprise to read.😛 ENJOY ❤️
CHAPTER 7 - Closer to you
As Saiyyam leaned forward, Krishna turned her back to him. She could feel her cheeks turning red. But she slowly raised her eyes to look at him through the mirror. He was standing right behind her looking directly at her. Their eyes met through the mirror and both stood there in silence for a while, this kind of silence was becoming more comfortable unlike before.
How do I look? Krishna asked quietly still facing her back to him.
What happened to her? She was so bold in the fitting room and now she acts all shy? Ugh. I just don't get her.
Yes..um..you look fine. He replied hesitantly. It wasn't naturally for him to compliment.
Fine?! I put all this much effort for him to just say fine! Ugh. Why do I bother asking him.
Krishna turned out and frowned at him cutely. Fine? FINE. What does that mean?
He gave a half smile at her reaction. He shook his head and grabbed both her hands to pull her closer to him.
Saiyyam.. what are you doing?
He leaned forward and her heart raced consequently. He could smell her usual perfume which was addictive but he had learnt to control himself. He put his hands around her neck, cupping her face which made Krishna close her eyes. He starred at her with a smirk, his hand travelled the back of her head pulling out the hair clip from her hair. Her hair was let loose and flowed down to her waist. She opened her eyes in surprise touching her hair.
Saiyyam ..it took me so long to learn. Krishna pointed out her effort.
Saiyyam fixed her hair properly on her shoulders while she still starred at him in surprise.
There you go, now you look perfect.
Perfect? She looked at herself in the mirror. But this is the old boring Krishna.
I like this one better. He folded his arms.
You know it took my so long to learn this hairstyle and you.. Krishna frowned.
You learnt that from youtube again? He laughed.
Yes so what? It looked fine. She said disappointed at her hair.
Yes that was fine but this is perfect. He smirked.
Stop smirking like that. You think you're such an expert, then why don't you do another hair style on me. She said confidently challenging him.
Hmm, I can... but
But what? You are a liar.
But what will I get in return? He smirked again.
You can decide, whatever you want. Now hurry up and do it. She didn't put much thought into this.
He held her hand and started walking but she let go. I can walk myself..don't hold my hand if all you're going to do is leave it in the end..
She sat at the dressing table waiting for him to follow. He stood still trying to sink in her words.
Are you just going to stand there and my hair will magically do its own hairstyle? He said questioning him.
He rolled his eyes and walked over to her and started brushing her long silky brown hair.
Is he really doing this for me? Why does he confuse me so much, everyday I see a new Saiyyam and I don't know which one is real him. She stared at him carefully weaving her hair into French braid. His eyes were so fixated on her hair but he could feel Krishna staring at him. His cold hands touched her bare shoulders as he collected the last couple of strands of hair and then he was almost done braiding. His fingers were a tease, and he noticed Krishna's eyes closed, so he teased her more. Krishna was shocked he was doing this on purpose, she gasped as his touch was still lingering on her back, she kept her eyes closed to stop the feelings.
He bent down to whisper in Krishna's ears. it's done. You can open your eyes.
Her eyes shot opened sensing his closeness. She turned her face and it collided with his, it was almost an accidental kiss. Her eyes kept blinking constantly but she got up from the dresser chair and distanced herself. She fixed her braid to one side of the shoulders leaving the other should bare open. Saiyyam could not stop staring at her, she looked angelic in blue.
Krishna! Yuvaan called her name while walking into the room uninvited. Saiyyam could not tolerate all the compliments he was giving Krishna. Why does he always enter at the wrong time. And what is he doing?! Holding her hand!! Oh wow, so are they dance partners now? And why is he wearing a matching tie. Was this already planned?!
Saiyyam.. I am so excited for this party! Kaira said joining everyone in the room. Saiyyam snapped out of his thought and they all drove together to the party plot, it was an open beach party, with smaller hubs surrounding for shelter.
The clients welcomed them and the guests arrived shortly after. We are so glad that you came to the party. It's an honor for us. Mr Agarwal said. Krishna Ji You are looking beautiful. Saiyyam looked over at her as she nodded in appreciation. Saiyyam was kept busy greeting the rest of the guests. Yuvaan was trying to impress the female clients with his charm. While Kaira was waiting for something fun to happen. Mr Agarwal started the night with the speech on the new project and prediction for future success. Saiyyam listened attentively but his eyes kept glancing over to Krishna. She was stood far from the crowd. He went over to her slyly without attracting attention towards him.
Krishna gave him a curious look. But he acted cool with hands in pocket. Stop looking at me like that Krishna. I know I look handsome.
Krishna was left speechless. Huh. How does he have so much attitude. He thinks this is cool..
What? Do you want to say something else? Krishna asked
Yes.. I hope you remember that you still owe me a prize for doing your hairstyle. He smirked.
Just then Yuvaan came and stood in front of Krishna. Saiyyam why are you standing here? He asked while extending his hand towards Krishna asking for a dance.
I'm just standing next to my wife, I don't think anyone should have a problem with that. He gave a stern reply.
Yeah right.. If she was your wife, you would treat her right.
You don't need to interfere Yuvaan. She started walking away from both the guys.
Alright cool, but I'm your friend first. Anyway, let's go dance.
Siayyam went over to sit at the cocktail bar counter, he asked for a drink and watched Yuvaan-Krishna get on the dance floor. He wanted to punch someone, he continued to drink another glass of alcohol. How dare he take my Krishna for a dance. Why didn't I stop them. Maybe I would look too desperate. Why am I chasing her anyway. Isn't this what I wanted, Yuvaan-Krishna. Perfect. He wanted to go up to Krishna but he had no courage. What should I tell her? That I think about her 24/7 and miss her even though she is right in front of me.
Mr Agarwal came to his rescue and asked him to join in the fun. Saiyyam tried saying no, but it was useless. Mr Agarwal had already announced that Saiyyam will sing a song. The crowd fell silent and waiting for Saiyyam to say something.
I can't sing .. Saiyyam said finally. But he picked up the guitar from the DJ and sat on the chair positioning the guitar in his hands. Krishna and Yuvaan stopped dancing and stared at Saiyyam. Mr Agarwal cheered Saiyyam and asked everyone to continue dancing to the beat of Saiyyam's music. Saiyyam's heart felt heavy, he's never felt so many emotion swell up inside him. He closed his eyes and played the first beat of the song from Humari Adhoori Kahani., He hit the strings of the guitar lightly, and thought about Krishna. I swear I didn't think there would be so much distance between us, now it seems too late to get you back.
Everyone was dancing slowly to the sad song played by Saiyyam -

Krishna carefully listening to the song, she knew it was for her. He put the guitar down, unable to meet Krishna's eyes. He gained the courage to walk over to her and ask for his prize. He pulled Krishna by waist and left Yuvaan astonished at his behaviour.
Saiyyam please. Don't do anything here. Krishna felt slightly embarrassed.
You owe me a prize. You said I could have get whatever I want.. his voice trailed off. He was serious. He didn't mean to joke around.
Krishna gulped and looked directly into his eyes. She thought he was going to kiss her. She looked nervous, though they have kissed numerous times before. She didn't let him speak, before he could say what he wanted, she just pressed her soft lips onto him. She felt his arms tighten around her waist, Saiyyam couldn't resist his desires either, as he kissed her back with the same passion. He let go off Krishna's waist and cupped her face closer to his and continued to kiss her as if there was no tomorrow. They were still on the corner of the dance floor but the lights were dim. With a revolving spotlight finally catching up to them, they broke apart.
Krishna tried to leave but he pulled her closer, she put her hands on his shoulder and her face buried down into his chest. She followed his steps and soon they were dancing in sync. She didn't have to fear about not knowing how to dance or what someone will think about her dancing. Because he was there to guide and take care of her. Saiyyam lifted her face and brushed away some of the hair strands that were loose. You know Krishna.. he started to speak while dancing. Hmm what? Krishna asked. I wasn't going to ask for a kiss.. He said with a little regret.
The music stopped and Saiyyam and Krishna did their final pose. Mr Agarwal cheered them - round of applause for Mr Saiyyam and Miss Krishna. Krishna was not used to being called Miss. She was married and everyone should know that, but she couldn't say anything. Saiyyam corrected Mr Agarwal - Actually, Krishna is my.. wife. He spoke after a pause. Krishna was shocked that he announced their relationship like this in front of everyone. She had mixed feelings, she was happy but sad at the same time. It wasn't like any other marriage.
Krishna left the dance floor, she hated feeling like this, she didn't know why he kissed her everytime but never tells her that he loves her. Why he always protects her but never expresses his feelings. She was upset but there was no one to listen to her. She picked up the cocktail glass thinking it was juice. She drank few different ones and her head felt heavy.
The party was almost over, and to end it all, it started raining. Everyone had started leaving. Krishna searched for Saiyyam. Did he leave me alone here? Where is everyone going. Her head was spinning, she couldn't even walk properly.
She found him at last, Saiyyam - Krishna managed to walk over to him but fell on him in style.
Oh, sorry. Did I hurt you? She said cutely.
No but I hurt you.. He replied softly hoping she would someday forgive him.
She shook her head, noo,. I know you care for me so much, she stretched out both her hands to express what so much meant.
Krishna, did you drink? He went closer to smell her breath.
Noo! No way, You are drunk that's why you think I'm drunk. She laughed.
Krishna stepped outside the hub shelter to feel the rain. Saiyyam who turned on the shower at night? How are we getting wet? She asked oblivious of the rain.
Saiyyam laughed at her stupidity, Stupid girl. It's rain! He grabbed her hand and pulled her under the shelter again.
Really. She blinked at him blankly. She noticed his hair wet, the water dripped from his hair, some of it rolled down his cheeks. Krishna was fascinated by this, she traced the water drop down his cheeks with her index finger. Krishna - stop this..
I'm making it stop, oh look here goes another water drop. She was amused and Saiyyam was even more amused at her. Her finger traced his face and stopped at his lips. She blushed looking at his lips. Saiyyam knew where this was going. He stopped her hand and moved back.
Krishna kneeled down and asked for Saiyyam's hand. Krishna what are you doing - get up. He said
But she grabbed his hand and interviewed with hers. She got up slowly and looked around. There was silence between them, it was so peaceful and only the sound of the rain was getting louder.
Shh. Do you hear the music? - they both said at the same time, while Krishna put her index finger onto his lips he did the same to her.
He pulled her closer and started to spin her around. Even though her head was already spinning, just being close to him made her feel much better. Saiyyam was whistling lightly, making a melody with the sound of the rain. He circled his fingers on her back and slowly moving to her bare shoulders. Their bodies collided and there was no space for anything else. Saiyyam's desires couldn't be stopped, he inhaled her toxic scent and kissed her neck, she let out a sigh in satisfaction, this gave him an indication to continue kissing, he placed wet kissed down to her shoulder. Krishna moaned at the sensation as she's never felt anything like it before. He seemed unstoppable. He mumbled as he lifted his face to look at her, I didn't want to ask for a kiss earlier Krishna, I just .. wanted to ask for your forgiveness. Would you take me back? He finally managed to let it out.

Chapter 8: Half wife. (I know it makes no sense! but the name is clearly inspired by the new Bollywood movie half girlfriend. Lol!!)
I'm sorry, I'm not so original but I'm running out of ideas for confession scene ..LoL!
