Part 6:
Yuvraj's POV continued.
I let her go for a few seconds, just to see that she was ok. She was breathless and appeared nervous. She looked down shyly.
I lifted her face slowly and kissed her forehead. I held her hand and kissed it. She smiled in the most heartwarming way. It's the smile I saw on her face so many times in the past year but I didn't value it half as much as I valued it now. I silently hoped that for the rest of our lives together, I'd never ever see her without it. I let her go for only a few seconds and she made a run for it.
"Suhani!" I shouted. She giggled and ran off.
Suhani's POV:
"Not a smart move, Jhansi Ki Rani...there's really no place to run...we only have this room." He said. I looked into his eyes from across the room. I'd never seen him look at me this way before. I never imagined Yuvraj Birla would look at me like I was the object of his desire. Maybe Di was right and he wanted to be alone with me. For now, I just needed to outrun him somehow but I knew I'd lose. I wonder what it meant to lose to him tonight. I skipped over my sandals and ran around the room and he followed me everywhere, as if he was the hunter and I was his prey. I couldn't handle the expression in his eyes. It looked like he wasn't even blinking. He watched me closely and smiled when I ended up near a corner and then rushed towards me. I tried to escape yet again and he grabbed my arm and pulled me back.
"Got you! I win..." He said. He held me by the arms and pulled me closer. The color of his eyes somehow seemed darker to me tonight. The thirst and hunger I saw in them could not have been for me, I couldn't believe that. He held me by the waist.
"Well, I win...like I said, so...give me back my shirt."
"What?" I pushed him away but he didn't budge. He was so strong. I blushed. "Yuvraj, let me go..." I said.
"I need my shirt. I'm cold, actually...you can just wear your wet saree or...not." He said. I was shocked by his tone. I looked at him and he looked like my Yuvraj, but his eyes had that naughty glint. He tightened his grip. "Suhani, it's simple...take the shirt off...just unbutton it, take it off, hand it back to me. Doesn't take so long..." I swallowed hard and pulled away from him with all my strength. My heart was beating so fast, I thought I'd pass out any second.
I was stunned by how quickly and easily he grabbed my hand and stopped me in my tracks. He held me against the wall. Our noses touched. He kissed my cheek. I looked down because I couldn't make eye contact anymore.
"Well if you can't take it off, I could help you out..." He whispered.
"Yuvraj!" I blushed harder. He grinned. He was inches away from me. I looked into his eyes and then he finally let me go and held my face. "I'm just kidding..." He said. He touched his forehead with mine. I calmed down. He stepped back and I moved away from the wall. This time he gently stopped me and then he did what I'd imagined hundreds of times in the past year. He bent slightly and picked me up and carried me. I was in his arms. He smiled and placed me on the bed.
He was then on top of me. I blushed harder. He kissed my forehead.
"Hope I didn't make you uncomfortable. I was just teasing you..." He said. He smiled. He was in a surprisingly confessional mood. I shook my head. "You never make me uncomfortable." I said. He nodded. "Good." He smiled. He then laid down right next to me. We looked at each other. I moved closer to him rested my head against his chest. He held me. My heart continued to beat out of my chest. I felt a bit dizzy. I couldn't believe what was happening. I moved even closer to him until I was lying with my head completely on his chest. I could hear his heartbeat as well. Was there anything more perfect than listening to the heartbeat of the person you're head over heels in love with?
We spent a few minutes that way and then I lay on my back and he moved closer and kissed my neck. I felt his nose against my cheek. He kissed it. Then he kissed my forehead, my nose and finally, I was so full of desire and yearning, that I held his face. We looked at each other. I didn't know what expressions I had but he looked back at me and smiled. I couldn't control myself anymore. He moved closer and placed a kiss on my lips, a soft one. It wasn't enough, I needed more. I kissed him back much harder and whatever I had been suppressing for more than a year came out in a flood of kisses. He kissed me back just as passionately. I tasted his lips and though I was completely distracted in the pleasure of feeling him and tasting him, I heard him moan just once. Both of us were out of breath. I ran my fingers through his hair and in between he stopped and kissed my neck. That was just too much. I couldn't handle the feeling of his lips against my neck and his hands on my waist.
"Yuvraj..." I said, in a low voice. It sounded like a whisper. I was breathless. He looked into my eyes.
"I love you..." I said. He beamed with happiness and kissed my forehead. "No divorce...?" He asked. "You're sure, right?"
"I'm sure." I said.
"Thank God..." He said, sounding relieved.
"Did you...really think, I mean, were you scared I would...file for divorce...like, for real this time?" I asked. He nodded. "Not that I would ever sign from my side, but that's a fear of mine. Thanks for putting it to rest." He said. "Oh, and you can keep my shirt..." He smiled. I laughed. Then, he kissed me again. It was a long and deep kiss, and it made me think that perhaps he was ready to go much further tonight.
