Chapter 4

Back at the Birla house Soumya awoke at 3pm and shouted for Ramesh to bring her juice. She then threw it on the floor as it wasn't freshly squeezed. On hearing the commotion dadi went to see what had happened. Soumya are you only getting up now? Did you not see Yuvraj off this morning?' dadi questioned. Oh ho dadi, please don't start. Yuvraj is a big boy and after last night's party I was just too tired get up just to see him' Soumya replied irritated with all the talk. Did you even arrange breakfast for him?' Dadi questioned. I asked Ramesh' Soumya spoke. Ramesh shook his head vehemently. Soumya Di only asked me to pack bhaiya's bag'. Dadi glared and Ramesh and asked him to get out.

Dadi then spoke to Soumya Soumya beta, you need to make sure you take care of these things, if you want to win over Yuvraj, think about it' Soumya just lie back down and pulled the cover over her head. Dadi for the first time questioned if Soumya would make Yuvraj happy. She loves all things beautiful, but her favourite grandson happiness also means the world to her, had she been too hasty in judging Suhani and had her ego not allowed a relationship that could have blossomed to not. She thought that is something she would never know.

It had been a long day it had was now 11pm and Yuvraj was ready to head back to the hotel. As he walked through the now deserted office he saw lights on in Suhani's office. He went to see if she was still there. Although they had finished working together at 7pm, he went for dinner and remembered that he left something of his in the office so went back to collect it and was surprised to see that Suhani was still working. He knocked on the door and questioned Suhani what are you still doing here?'

Work' Suhani curtly responded. He could see that he had disrupted her train of thought, thus the grumpy reception. Suhani, it's late, let's go home' Yuvraj spoke. Sorry Sir I have a lot of work to complete outside that of yours and I'm not the kind of person that walks out on their commitments' Suhani spoke trying to keep her cool. Yuvraj had never seen her like this, so feisty. He wasn't sure now if she was stressed cause of work or if she was having a go at him due to their past.

Listen Suhani, it's late, let me drop you home, as your clearly tired and tomorrow after a good night sleep you will be able to focus better' Yuvraj suggested. She knew he was right. She could be here all night racking her brains, but the truth was that everything that had happened today had rattled her. It bought to the front of her mind the feelings she had forgotten to feel.

Suhani let out a sigh and nodded in agreement. But I have my scootie, I'm going home on that' she announced. Well I'm not letting you travel home by yourself this late, so you have a choice, I either come home on your scootie with you or I can drop you in my car' Yuvraj stated matter of factly. Suhani rolled her eyes at him. Fine, if you want but we are going on my scootie' Suhani decided. Yuvraj smiled back. He thought to himself either way it's a win-win for him. This way he gets to sit close to her. As they got downstairs to the garage, Suhani gave Yuvraj a helmet and was about to get on to drive. Yuvraj reached out and stopped her saying I'll drive Suhani'. Suhani looked at him in disbelief and snapped back Excuse me, this is my scootie and you are the one who insisted on escorting me home, so I will drive and you will sit behind.' After that comment Suhani gave him a better not mess with me looked and got on the scootie waiting for him to get on.

He got on not wanting to miss the opportunity of spending some more time with her. He couldn't understand how he didn't realise how an amazing person she was, even when fighting with her he still felt this unexplainable connection. They rode silently both lost in their own thoughts. They were 5 mins from Suhani's house when there was this unexpected heavy rainfall. There was nowhere to pull over under shelter and they were both completely soaked so she decided to drive on home.

As they reached the heavy downpour continued. Yuvraj pulled out his phone to call the driver to come pick him up only to see that his mobile wasn't working Shit!' he said under his breathe. Suhani had been watching him from afar. He still looked the same as he did two years ago but different. She couldn't put her finger on it. He ran his fingers through his hair. Suhani smiled to herself and though halki daari, bikre baal. She walked up to him and tapped him on the shoulder and asked What happened Yuvraj?' Yuvraj just showed her the phone and how the mobile wasn't working. Don't worry come up to my flat, I have a landline anyway which you can call your driver on, plus the driver won't be able to bring the car in this far so you will have to wait till the rain subsides before you can leave' Suhani stated giving a heartfelt smile. Yuvraj smiled and nodded. As they went towards the lift, Suhani in her mind reconfirmed that she was doing this for him only as he had gone out of his way to make sure she got home safely and it was not right to leave him in soaking wet clothes out in this weather especially when she knew the driver would take atleast another hour or so. Plus he is also a client and she didn't want to do anything to affect the account negatively.

As they reached the flat and went in Yuvraj was surprised to see that the flat was decorated in simple yet modern decor. It was really homely and cosy. Suhani walked towards a linen closet and pulled out two towels. One for herself and one for him, she told him to dry himself off and make himself at home and told him to ring the driver, whilst she went to change and would make some coffee. Suhani returned dressed in comfy pj and with her hair tied up in a messy updo. Yuvraj was left just staring. Only thing in his mind was she looked as sexy as HELL! She snapped her fingers infront of his face Earth to Yuvraj! Where were you lost?' Umm nowhere' is all that Yuvraj could muster. She placed her hand on his shoulder. 'Yuvraj your clothes are soaking wet, you should change otherwise you could get sick'. I will see what I can find for you. Suhani went into her room and emerged with some trouser and shirt. This was strange for Yuvraj, why would she have male clothing in her home, it wasn't hers obviously and she doesn't keep in contact with anyone from back home like her dad. Here, wear this, I think you are both the same size so it should fit you' Suhani stated.

Who is the same size?' Yuvraj questioned. Suhani smiled Oh Dilip, I actually bought this shirt and trouser as a gift for him, but I will just get him another' Yuvraj felt his heart burning. Had she moved on and found someone else. Who was this Dilip and why was she buying gifts for him? He thought how dare she move on, but then checked himself at that thought realising he can't expect her to live her life waiting for him. He had moved on even if it was a short time to dating Soumya even if it was on the behest of his dadi. But being in a relationship with Soumya for the 3 months showed him clearly that she was not the one for him, neither was she was he initially imagined her to be. The only reason she was still in the house was dadi insisted on her being there, thinking that it would make him change his mind. He had clearly told dadi and Soumya that there would be no future between them ever, but not that they ever stopped their planning and scheming.

Yuvraj went and changed into the clothes but with a heavy heart. In the meantime Suhani made some coffee which she put in two mugs and bought out to the lounge area. She sat on the couch drinking her coffee when Yuvraj joined her. They sat in silence for awhile. Yuvraj just engrossed in etching a picture of how beautiful she looked at the moment. A strand of hair fell on her face and he leaned over and slowly tucked it behind her ear. His fingertips slowly caressing her face, Suhani held her breathe. She felt nervous and she did the only thing she knew how to do when she was nervous, which was to talk. Yuvraj how is aunty?' she questioned him. Aunty?' he repeated confused as to who he was referring to. Your mother?'she clarified. Oh' Yuvraj spoke the disappointment clear in his voice. It hurt him that she was no longer referring to his mother as maa. You can still call her maa'Yuvraj said. No I can't, the relationship that linked her to being my maa no longer exists' Suhani stated back. Suhani'

DING DONG the door bell rang. Yuvraj was confused who it would be at this hour.

another great update I like how Yuvraj got jealous when he saw that Suhani had clothes for a man, I wonder if he will ask her what relationship she has with the guy.

Oh wow what a beautiful chapter no words u too good update soon. Just brilliant I think u should try and get yourself hired by this show as the yuvani scene specialist so u can create amazing scenes for us to watch and we dnt have to imagine them I am sure they have 1 for him and souyma lol.
