criticize moderators of IF?Modnote Posted Pg26/27-Close - Page 4

Dexy , nice thread to bring up the issues in it that we facing continuously in Bollywood sections is being ruled by biased moderators now a days , i understood the point "feedback thread" was created on there but could not get why it was closed and for what reason ?? if that thread was not about questioning moderators could anybody let me know what was actual purpose of that thread to be established in that forum????

this is not first time Moderators are getting biased with members,it happens usually here specially in daily shows' forums, Moderators are found getting biased and behaving rudely mostly with those ones who don't lick their favs celebs' names and go against them..

i still remember how and in what tone Souro answered me when i got to know reason about exorcist ban , for a moment i thought if i stay persistent on my question i might have got banned by him just that moment... not only Mandy and Souro , i find almost all DT members biased and rude apart Sano , Ahana and now i want those DT members to be stripped of their positions that they don't deserve now .. only those members should be appointed as moderators who behave well and show maturity when they put their views ...

i hope no moderators get snappy reading my post and not increases my Warning Level either ...

Well since the Dev Team is composed of members who have been selected from the Forum only and who have agreed to volunteer in making India-Forums a better place for discussions. And there may have been issues which has left some of our members dissatisfied.

We are discussing the issue internally and would be working out ways to bridge the gap between the DT and the members.

I agree with dex!! moderators can also be criticised

Thanks for the PM Dex :-) and yeah we should have a right to criticise mods because literally the situation of Bollywood Forum has literally gone to an low status, and yeah Sheldon being picked on by Souro was just ridiculous I've never seen a mod like that before, whereas when Swati and Simran were mods they were neutral. Things were fine but now things have changed for the worse and yes Aahaana would be awesome. I have seen her as a moderator she's pretty good.

I don't understand the logic of not criticising/questioning the mods, are they dictators?, gods?, the pinnacle of perfection who can do no wrong? Are we expected to just bow our heads and let them abuse their authority however they want? The Bollywood feedback thread was closed because certain discrepancies and contradictions were exposed on how things were being run by the incompetent DT members of that forum, I guess the mods expected everyone to just glorify them, but when members started raising certain issues and objections over mod actions, the mod swiftly locked the thread on the excuse that the purpose of the thread has been derailed... ghanta derailed.

As far as I'm concerned, I was banned, fine.. that's no problem, I am not even contesting that, but why am I not allowed to rejoin and just post as normal within rules and regulations? This is also the same case with Dr.Evil, as soon as either one of us rejoins, we get banned, this banning game has been going on for a while now, and the only reason I assume that neither one of us are currently banned right now is because Souro is on vacation till Tuesday. I PMed Mandy to sort things out but I couldn't get a reply because guess what?, I was banned!

How is it fair that others who've done things far worse, like posting pictures of another member on the public forum and then ridiculing them, gets to rejoin and post away like nothing happened, but not us?.. if banned members are not supposed to return, as ludicrous of an idea that is, then I guess you better start banning those hundreds and thousands of members who've rejoined after getting banned, otherwise you guys are simply being hypocritical, don't just apply rules on an ad-hoc basis, mods shouldn't be taking their personal vendetta out on members, which is what it seems to be happening to me and Dr.Evil.

I don't even know what we've done to Souro?, who chases after us like we stole his candy or somethin. The Bollywood forum need better/unbiased mods, not trigger-happy ones.

Hey Vijay...glad to hear you guys are discussing this...it's a topic that certainly needs it! For what it's worth...DTs are not always "from the forum"...I can give you several examples where people who have never or hardly ever posted on the forum have been added to the DT...including at the BS!

I think IF has become to strict and a lot of members have left because of the constant bashing and things going on. Especially in Bollywood forums. If unknown people post pictures of innocent members in the public forum without their consent, where is the safety and confidence knowing it will not happen again? I know Dexter has had to email many mods and it takes them a while to do anything. I will stop posting myself if action is not taken. Thanks.

I would've remained clueless about some people being banned left, right, and centre if it wasn't for the BS section feedback thread. And I would've remained in the dark about that very same feedback thread being locked if it wasn't for Dex pointing me to this topic.

I honestly don't know what to say. I knew at the back of my mind that the feedback thread wouldn't last long. And sure enough, it didn't. BS has gone downhill ever since serious issues like privacy violations have been put on the back burner in favour of a police state where members are bandars and mods are madaris.

Modship can't be used to save face when you're wrong. Mandy and Souro implement rules on bans differently, so Mandy was asked to clarify her stance. Instead, she remained silent and closed the thread claiming people were chatting too much.

Save for about 2 or so pages there I didn't see enough chatting to warrant a thread shutdown. So I hope you guys can reopen the thread for the sake of the BS section and members who have genuine concerns.

Apart from that, everyone here has said whatever I wanted to say.
