And seems like Shak tested the new rules and found loopholes.
I'm sorry but this is just frustrating.

How hard it is to crack down with stricter rules?
Kal El had a very simple solution. You can only PM members who are in your buddy list. And a newbie shouldnt NEED to pm a regular member anyway.
And if its a regular with a new ID, hell, post on the forum that "so and so" please add me for a second, I need to send you a PM. Or "hey its me"

All in all, even if they cant do that, IF is NOT the only means to contact someone. If they already know a member, it wont be the end of the world if a newbie cant contact them here.

I concur with Desu. I too find the 10 PMs rule pointless. They only need one PM to attack and abuse. The abuses are so bad it could make your blood curl. But if that is too much, why don't you guys just let newbies PM IF staff and people on their friend's list ONLY. Since most of us sane people would never add newbies to our friend's list, they would never be able to spew their venom to us via PMs. This way, you're neither being unfair to the newbies nor being unfair to us.

If anything the 10 Pms rule is a NUISANCE, because chances are if two members have reached up to 8 PMs...they're probably having a civil or friendly conversation. Not being harassed.
One PM is enough to harass someone, after which the poor victim reports the freak anyway and it gets banned...for the time being.

Yep and here is the thread where Shak tested the rules with the newbie ID. He was able to post a picture, a video as well as PM all as newbie.

We obviously appreciate all your help and don't mean to demean or nag in any way. But there are loopholes and I hope its only because you guys just started working on it. So the loopholes should be taken note of as soon as they are found. Cheers! 😃

I know you guys might be pressurized by newbies that they need certain rights.
But you have to prioritize.
What's more important, the enjoyment of newbies, members who have JUST joined the site or might even be cyber predators, or the SAFETY of regular members who now feel like sitting ducks on this site?

Yep. Retaining the population you have now by making it safer for everyone will benefit this site in the long run. Nobody wants bad word of mouth for their business. When genuine newbies join this site and see all the privacy being violated, they too might just leave out of fright. Then you'll end up having no newbies come nor will you retail any regulars. So the best way to deal with this would be by curtailing newbie privileges so this site is safe for the people that are already here. Genuine newbies would obviously appreciate the efforts being undertaken to make this site safer, they wouldn't be intimidated by it.

1. Newbies should not be able to post pictures/link.

2. Newbies should not be able to open new topics.

3. Newbies should not be able to send PM's except to the DT or anybody on their buddy list.

4. Limit of posts to be increased.
