I am glad that something is being done to control this issue. Hope you guys do something about the loopholes in the rules that have been pointed out.

Newbies cannot make more then 4 New topics per day. We came to this after looking at the data available where how many new Topics created by a new Genuine member and a Spammer. On an average a new member makes less then 2 New topics where as a Spammer makes 10+. (Done)And an MID would need to open a single topic to insult a member. Make sure that a newbie cannot open a topic at all. So all doors would be shut for an MID aiming to harass a member here. Privacy of existing members should precede that of spammers and genuine newbies!

We will be adding a feature where Members can choose not to recieve PMs from person who are not in their Buddy List and from Dev Team members. (Coming Soon)What's the use of blocking ID's when you don't know which MID is going to PM you? It would be a waste of time blocking the ID after it sends you the PM. Abusers can make one ID per message. That way this feature is a waste!

Members can report PMs just like they can report Forum Posts so that our inhouse team can go through it and take action on the same if its not following our site Code Of Conduct.(Coming Soon) Again, what's the use of reporting a PM when a newbie has already done its work. We want preventive measures not the ones to cure the venom spewed by these loser MID's.

We can even track members with zero forum posts. So Spammers and Mischeif Mongers should not think that they can hide with that. (Done) Something which was needed.

Not enough Vijay . I'm again posting our claims here. If privacy and safety of existing members is something you still care about, then implement them otherwise there's no use of whatever you've posted.

1. Newbies should not open new topics. A newbie can use the intro thread to introduce himself and start replying to topics already posted. That way he will get used to the forum and its rules. An MID this way will not be able to harass any member by opening a new topic. Even if it posts in a thread, it will anyways be veiled in the existing ones until a moderator trashes it.

2. Newbies should not be able to post pictures/ links. Self explanatory! An MID will not be able to harass a member with his/her pictures then. Genuine ones can wait till they are groupies, its not hard either!

3. Newbies should not be able to PM/scrap/write testimonials/slambook etc except the ones in their buddy list - In fact, I wonder what is the need for a newbie to PM others? Since a genuine newbie is new, it can post in the forum to interact with members or ask queries. Every forum has a help desk, so why not make use of that feature. Implementing this would solve all major MID issues on the forum!

4. Installing sensors, if possible to block posts with abusive and swear words. So that, newbie badmouthing someone is automatically blocked by the forum site. Reduces the work of the DT.

To save time of everyone please post your suggestions relating to this on the GA.

Some of the suggestions that were possible we have already implemented and trying to improve on it.

But we do not agree on complete ban on creation of new Topics by Newbies. What will happen if this problem member posts stupid stuff on someone else's topic then the suggestion will come that please do not allow Newbies to make any posts.

Its like someone jumped from a High Storeyed Tower Building and people start saying that ban creation of new Towers.

I hope you all understand what I am trying to convey.

While I appreciate your concern and all the help you have provided, its not unreasonable for us to ask that you completely curtail newbies' freedom to post pictures/videos in siggis/avis/forums! That was what happened to me and Desigal. Our picture was posted on the forum. So that should be the first thing that needs to be amended. We are not asking you to stop newbies from making new threads. I don't mind if newbies make new threads (although that should be restricted as per your convenience as well). Most of us can handle harsh words and if not the moderators will come in and delete such a thread. But does anyone deserve being mocked continuously for 4 days in a row with pictures attached ALL OVER THE FORUM?! The answer would be a resounding no! That is immoral and illegal. Desigal90 and I as direct victims of this harassment do have the right to ask you to stop them from posting pictures in PMs/forums/scraps/testimonials/siggies/avatars. This is a very reasonable request and I really think you should take it under consideration.
