Quoting Problem

I noticed a something strange in one of my Fan Fiction threads just a few days ago. Quote boxes are not working properly. Only part of the quoted text appears in the box and the rest of it appears outside. Take a look here: https://india-forums.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=1144102&TPN=45

This problem appears throughout this thread on multiple pages, even those that were posted months ago. I'm certain that the quotes appeared properly when I first posted the replies, so I'm not sure what changed now.

It may have so happened in case the post didnt had proper closing tags for the QUOTE and to avoid breaking the entire page layout the system is removing the unclosed tags.

Thanks for the quick response Vijay bhaiya, but I still have no idea what to do. When I go to "Edit Post," the end tags are in their proper place and are just fine, appearing like this: [ / Q U O T E ]. And as I mentioned before, some of these posts are months old, and I never noticed this before. There's definitely something strange going on with that thread.

Hi Hardik,

The solution that you are saying is not the best option for us. Now consider this that the whole Page is already in transitional XHTML format and its a table less page and the content is aligned using CSS. Now if you start a DIV tag and then do not close it. That itself will throw the page layout for a toss even if you use the Width property in CSS.

Most of the posts are correctly handled and its just like 0.05% of them will be facing this kind of problem.

I Completly Knew Vijay Dear That India-Forums Is Table Less Page Design. The Attribute Maximum Width Is Introduced Attribute For Creating Table Outlook In DIV Tag(Attribute Only Works With XHTML Page). Either It Is 0.05 % Or Not But Some Time It's Became Large Loss For You And This What I Suggested Is Already Tested In My Own Projects For Blogging Comments In My Own E-Commerce Company HKWEBS Since Last 3 Years And 7 Month Back With 100 % Gurranted No Distracktion In Page Outlook.

Well I am not raising doubts on your understanding about HTML or CSS and I really wish all the best for your ecommerce company HKWEBS 😊.

But we have to understand here that we are talking about millions of user generated posts which we dont know how they are structured. And it further complicates if they are copied and pasted from some other page for reference or Word Document. And if you understand that processing the whole thing and removing unwanted stuff and making it more crisp and XHTML compliant.

And coming to the problem an extra starting <DIV> or an extra end </DIV> can not just break the alignment but also is not XHTML compliant.

BTW I was always wondering why you always write In This Way Format Where Each Word Starts With A Capital Letter And Which Makes Reading Them A Bit Difficult. 😃

That was only cause i likes the write method more then other. BTW This error of page distracktion has only occure while page can not cunstracted proper manner arising of this type error seems that there is only a few technicle review cheack not passed for page designs and that's the only reason that this error comes. And by the way according to my design cheack there is 3 error in forum_post.asp page which are distrackting pages.

2) Colors Awards Voting Page 2 ( Mahavir Hanuman Section, Distrackted Page From Sita11's Second Post.)

Reports :

1) 1 error only

2) 3 errors

Upper page report displayed that Voting Page 2 has 2 More errors which are distrackted the page.
