Everybody in the Bharadwaj family, except Alaka, has assembled in the Hall where the Puja of the Kuldevi is being held. Everybody is happy. After a while Meera leaves the Puja place with the chunari in her hand and goes upstairs. Shantanu also goes upstairs. At that moment, the girl from the car incident, along with the guy on the mobike enters the house, along with a no. of policemen. The police enquire about Meera and tell the family members that the girl has lodged a complaint against Meera who had hit the guy with a tree branch. Everybody is surprised and shocked. The police ask Meera to accompany them to the police station. Yash tells the police inspector that the law will take its own course and that he will have Meera out in no time.😊
Ira tells Suli that all these incidents had to happen in the house when the famil is busy with Sonu's wedding preparations. While one daughter will go to her in-laws house, another daughter will go to the police station. Suli is not at all happy.
The girl taunts Meera that while Meera had told her a number of things regarding India's culture and stuff, yet her family was ready to let her go with the police. Meera is stunned. As she is about to go with the police, Shantanu comes to the spot and tells the police that the complaint against Meera has been withdrawn and that they may go. As the police go away, Shantanu scold the girl severely and informs everybody that she is his daughter, Gauri. And the guy is Abhimanyu, his friend's son, that friend who had helped him a lot when he went to London 20 years ago. On enquiring Gauri tells her father that she had come the next day after receiving her father's telephone and had been searching for him. However, Shantanu reprimands them saying that it didn't mean that they would have a car and bike competition on the roads of Varanasi.😡
Everybody is happy to see Gauri but she aint so happy. Shantanu asks her to say sorry to Meera but she hesitates. But Meera tells sorry to Gauri in turn and welcomes her to Varanasi and their home. As per Ammaji's wish, she even agrees to let Gauri stay in her room. She escorts Gauri to the room who is clearly not very happy at the prospect since there is no AC in the room, the mattress is too hard, the colours on the bedspread and pillows are too gaudy, the paintings on the wall are hideous etc. Meera tells her that this is what she will get in Varanasi for time being and the painitn gis of the Benaras Ghat and since Gaurri would never go to the Ghat to take a dip in the Holy Ganges, she might as well pray to Mother Ganga in the morning. Gauri decides to leave but is stopped by Abhimanyu who tells her to stay put in the house till the wedding of her cousin is over.😉
Meera is speaking to Lord Krishna that why had he created people like Gauri who doesn't have any respect for their country and culture and are very stubborn. Shantanu hears all this from behind a pillar and smiles at her. He then tells her that some kids are born stubborn and that maybe their parents had not imparted correct education to them. Meera says that then it's the fault of the parents. Shantanu agrees to it and says that he wished that Gauri was like Meera at least in some way or the other. In fact, he had purchased a traditional dress for Gauri but was sure that she would not wear it. He then departs leaving Meera standing in front of Lord Krishna and decides to try to change Gauri at least a little bit. 😛
Everybody is in the Hall dancing and singing. Alaka is also standing on the stairs seeing the girls dancing and singing. At that moment, Meera goes to Shantanu's room and picks up the packet containing Gauri's dress. From the loose cover of the box, the diary falls down. She picks it up and is shocked to find that it belongs to Shantanu. She reads some more lines and is even more shocked.
She comes to the inside balcony overseeing the hall and draws everybody's attention to Shantanu's diary which according to her contains information that the family was unaware of but the truth deserves to be out in the open. Alaka and Shantanu are shocked.
