They show Benaras City where one Bharadwaj family is living, they have shown lavish sets big palacial hosue of Bhardwaj.
the serial starts with Ammaji praying to god and her 2 songs Yash Bhardwaj and Kumar vardhan(Anuj) Bhardwaj coming down the stairs they take blessings from ammaji as ammaji says there is wedding in family that is of sonali i think daughter of Yash, he has i think one more daughter akaksha, Kumar and alaknanda(mrinal kulkarni has one daughter Meeraa who loves his dad and mom very much.
yash & kumar have 1 sister who has one son she always says my son is waris of this family as alaknanda looks sadly at her as both Yash & kumar have no sons.
they show meera going to market getting bangles, as alaknanda is wearging bangles meers insists let dad Kumar put the bangler to mom without breaking. if one bangle breaks it means dad does not love mom.
alaknanda is sad tries to put bangles herself, but meera calls her father asks him to put the bangles in her momalaknanda's hands. Kumar puts it without breaking one as meera is happy that her father loves her mom very much.
next day they show sonali's mehendi ceremony. ammaji calls alaknanda for every work as yash's wife and yahs's sister feel jealous of alaknanda. as mehendi is going on one widow touches mehendi ammjai gets angry tells alaknanda to get another mehendi for sonali.
kumar's nephew gets one dancer for the occasion who happens to be lover of Kumar vardhan(Anuj) kumar, alaknanda and ammjai are shocked to see her. as she dances alaknanda is also pulled to dance with her as they both are dancing their pallu catches fire. kumar who is watching runs with a shwol to put of fire but he goes to dancer vasundhara all are shocked even meera, where alaknanda is saved by her nephew. vasundhara hugs kumar who takes her out. all are talking behind meera feels shocked and sad. meera cries infront of god krishna why this ahs happned why dad saved that dancer instaead of my mom. ammjai sees it feels sad. yash's wife and his sister are happy for what happened to alaknanda as kumar does not love her.
at home kumar asks vasundhara why u came to our house. vasundhara says i know i am not supposed to come but i was invited to dance plus i wanted to enjoy the happy occasion in your house. kumar tells good in a way as everyone known that we both are in love so far we were hiding it from the world. at bhardwaj's hosue ammjai is angry she goes to Vasundhara tells her how dare she visited Bhardwaj as she was forbiden 20 years back from becoming the bahu of that house. vasundahra says amma u could not stop your son from coming here for 20 years, now why u are asking me this. Ammaji tells since U are a dancer U eekp doors open to all no one can be stopped from coming to you but today i warn U to leave the city by tomorrow or else u ahve face the consequences.
at home ammjai tells kumar & yash to forget what tamash is made of family yesterday and to concentrate on sonali's wedding. yash & kumar nod their head. they show puja meera is worreid about her parents. yash & his wife come down even yash's sister and her husband. meera & ammjai wait for kumar & alaknanda as they come down to puja meera os happy sits behind them. panditji gives motila haar to all men asks them to give to their wives and to be put for the puja at the river. they show all going to the river side for puja. as kumar and alaknanda meera go near puja vasundhara valls kumar saying she is leaving ghe city she ants to see him. as alaknanda goes near the river meera hears kumar telling vasudhanra to wait as he is going to meet her immediately meera feels sad. kumar goes in his car and meets with acident same time alaknanda's necklace beraka and falls into water, alaknanda is sad.
3rd day they show sangeet cremony going on all are busy lighting the lamp. they show kuamr is seriosuly injured vasundhara takes him to hospital. doctor says he is serious and tells are u his wife she says no then he says call his wife. vasudhara calls yash and yash and amma go to hsopital doc says he is serious wants to talk to someone . ammjai tells we have to call to alaknanda. ammaji calls his daughter i think Iravati who can hear puts the phoe down. as kumar is panthing for life ammaji calls again but alaknanda lifts ammjai shouts says Iravati why did u disconnect the phone as kumar is serious bring alaknanda here. alaknanda is shocked runs to hospital meera ses her runs behind. at hospital alka sees vasudhara show is crying goes in sees ammjai and cries as kumar is tryhing to talk ammjai goes to call doc and alaknanda goes near him. kuamr lifts his hand as alaknanda tries to touch him he says vasundhara. meera is watching all these from out shocked. alaknanda sees vasundhara on the door folds her hand as vasundara comes forward catches kumar's hand kumar dies. meera is shocked too see her father cathing vasundara's hand isntead of her mom. alaknanda runs out. at home ceremony is going on they bring alaknanda home who is in a dazed state. kumar's body is brought home and funeral is going on.
