Visual media holds a very big role in reforming and changing the views of people about certain misconceptions. Our epics were not flawless... there were many practices in that era, which were not wrong acc to that era , but are wrong if we see now. a little bit of changes for spreading awareness for current Generation is not wrong.
Infact SKR is doing a great job in this way. Whenever they make their Ram speak, there's always a message hidden for us. And yesterday Sita too .

I agree there have been deviation from real Valmiki plot. But SKR never followed Valmiki or Tulsidas or Kamba. Infact whatever stated as distortions here, I read them in different versions.
Ashwamedh yagya horse was indeed sacrificed according to Veda, Sulochana indeed tried to free Sita and sent her to Ram. Surpanaka indeed had a husband killed by Ravan. Infact the track which I hated the most, Lakshman Sita track, was even more worse in DP's book, where Sita blamed Ram Lakshman both.

Few things have been changed or chopped off like Sati pratha, nd Lakshman Rekha convo of SiyaLaksh. Also Lakshman didn't have berries given by Shabri... he refused to eat, but SKR's Lakshman had it. Maybe to show characters in better light.

I am not saying SKR is flawless. But I don't talk about anything which I don't like, I see the positive side of the show, I did the same for Star Bharat and have been doing the same for skr as well.
In fact i don't visit this thread anymore, as it is not that positive as it used to be... that too when episodes are not that bad at all except for few scenes... I remain in AT where we discuss Ramayana and SKR positively, and if Shruthi makes individual post I comment there... as I don't like anything negative.
All I wanna say is Skr has positive sides as well and is definitely the best mytho show on tv right now.
