Mistakes are fine if it is in certain scenes which are not as important as the ones that we are talking of. These scenes define Lakshman's character. Isn't that a distortion of his very character?

I am not feeling bad dear or angry at you , Why would I , its just that sometimes things need to be seen over and above the aspect of just deriving messages and symbols from a scene too , when the show really distorts an event in a very bad way.

Oviously its not distortion thread 😆 , but see what just happened , unknowingly in your analysis u thought of Lakshman as a Man with just anger .

This is what I really fear , that people dont assume something about the God which he wasnt in real after getting influenced from what is shown .

@Gauri- What Bhaiya says is correct. That is why I don't like SKR's portrayal of Lakshman.

Yeah , some tits and bits here and there are fine , But Not acceptable when we have to establish the person's character. This was a scene which made Lakshman looked Heartless , only demons do that , carry a body part of their prey or opponent as a prized possesion .

Is it that necessary that to show Sita Great , you prey on other's character

Hello everyone this thread when we started itself DD and myself had set the rule that in this thread there is no right and wrong analysis. Only perspectives. That too strictly with respect to SKR and no comparison to any other Ramayan version

You can disagree to the perspective with respect to the screenplay of SKR, but request everyone not to bring Valmiki or any other Ramayan and compare the portrayal of any character in SKR with respect to that in this thread.

It is supposed to be positive and would like to keep it positive.

I have told many times in this thread not look SKR from conventional Ramayan perspective. Learn to unlearn the characters you know and just analyze the screenplay. Take the connecting message, leave the rest.

The screenplay only showed emotions controlling Lakshman and Lakshman finally controlling his emotions. Laxman is a man of emotions, not anger per se. He is a man of emotions. He feels, he reacts that is because of love. But the way he expresses love is forthright and not pleasing. No one can love like Lakshman, no one can serve like Lakshman, no one can sacrifice like Lakshman. SKR has not deviated from this basic chara of Lakshman.

Sorry Shruti , I Can't Unlearn and learn something That I find very abusive

Actually its not just about Anger or any other trait , its about the sort of character He is shown to be , disrespectful towards a widow in that scene .

I hope u will not take offence of my post , just trying to clarify my viewpoint😃

Will join u guys later when something meaningful is shown again in the show😃

Sruthi di! Correct, all of the basic characteristics of the characters have been preserved, and shown beautifully too. The show is trying to make the Ramayan more relatable for every generation and person, respect that! And, Lakshman keeping Meghnad's head is true, that actually happened. And Anokhi di, proud of you! So many things have been beautifully shown in SKR, concentrate on those. Tha di and Shivam Bhaiya, Mahayuddh ko start mat karo, please! 😆
