Shrutha he respected woman. He had. For me he is a man of emotions. When he first heard Vanvass for Ram and Urmila tries to stop him, he is someone controlled by emotions. And that pushing Lakshman would have never done if he was in senses. And it never looked he intended it.
There was a beautiful Lakshmila scene after that where he says I have not given you anything when she allows him to go and his trust on Urmila that she will support him in his mission when he sents Nidra Devi to her.
With Sulochana again he was not seeing Sulochana or her need. For him he had his bhabi's tormentor's head in hand. That too a bhabi who is mother like to him. When your mother is insulted what a son feels, I only saw that in him. When he got his mother's letter he understood his mistake and when he goes again to Sulo he addresses her with utmost respect. Treat Lakshman like a child of Ram-Sita in SKR. His anger is his expression of extreme love towards his parents. And whenever it crosses maryada his parents ie Ram-Sita corrects him and like a good child he understands his mistake and corrects himself. That is the Lakshman Sita sees through her eyes. Her child. Her loving child who in his earnestness to protect her, sometimes commits mistakes
To understand what I am telling you should read " Randammoozham " of MT Vasudevan Nair where he has narrated MB through Bhima's eyes. Irresepctive idolizing Arjun-Krishna relation I adhore the book and MT's imagination. Try the Krishna Bhaktha in you can survive that book. It is a critically acclaimed book.

Today the beautiful relation of Bhakth and God was shown. I loved that scene. Then comes Ravan's ego. I loved Ravan's self talk. Posting analysis soon

The Maya that Surpanakha used to separate Ram from Sita threatens to distance them once again, but this time through Ahiravan. Maya's role is like that only- it separates us from Bhagawan by trying to divert our focus towards the material world. And this separation only happens in two situations- when Maya disguises itself as Prakriti and tries to trap us (Surpanakha) and when our consciousness has been covered by evil and we believe the path of Adharma is the right one (Ahiravan). There is a big difference between Maya and Prakriti, though, that can be used to differentiate them. Maya intoxicates and Prakriti brings us to sanity. And that same principle is used by Ram when Sita and Surpanakha had the same form- Sita was the one who was trying to lift his illusion, while Surpanakha was silent, so that Ram would stay in that illusion. And for Ahiravan and his actions, the law of reactions comes into play. As much as evil tries to suppress our consciousness, with that much force, it fights back. And because of Sita's determination, evil was vanquished once again. In every such situation, our consciousness rises among all odds. It is the voice of God after all, will it fall trap to such earthly qualities?

Ahiravan makes everyone unconscious, except Vibhishan, and Vibhishan tries to fight back. He takes Hanuman's mace and tries to fight back, but Ahiravan makes him unconscious through his mind powers. Vibhishan tries to be Hanuman or Ram's defense, but that is not his role. He is the power of Ram that gives him inside information of Ravan's doings and gave him the confidence to go on. He is like Ram's knowledge. To defend, knowledge is very important. But, it can not do the job alone. What else does it need? It needs strength. You need to have knowledge and the ability to implement it in the form of knowledge to defend, that is why Hanuman is Ram's and the whole world's defense. He is the epitome of both. But Vibhishan, he has more knowledge than strength, so Ahiravan can take Ram and Lakshman to Pataal Lok.

The theme of this episode is response. Vibhishan responds to the problem at hand by trying to save Ram and Lakshman, but fails. Sita responds to the news by deciding to pray to Maa Yogamaya. And Hanuman responds to the obstacles in his way by using brain instead of brawn. Hanuman and Sita's responses turn out to be successful, but Vibhishan failed. Why is that? Actually, Vibhishan did not think before trying to save Ram and Lakshman, while Sita and Hanuman thought and then did something. You always need to act on concrete facts and move forward. Hanuman and Sita acted after having actually proof for their actions, but Vibhishan's response doesn't make sense. It is said that actions are the child of thought. So, if something is done without thinking, is it worth being called a proper action?

Phew! Just finished reading 42 pages. But let me tell you in May I spent a lot of time reading the first 4 symbolism threads, though I have never analysed here because I somehow feel I should develop more knowledge before I do it but reading has tremendously helped me in 10th std. Shruthiravi di's analysis has helped me a lot and I feel the change this academic year. I have become a lot more positive and I encourage myself a lot and am able to focus on my studying keeping myself balanced on the whole. This has given me a lot of emotional strength and I just feel words from shruthi di's analysis ringing in my ears. In fact today Di ur words kept ringing in my ears about moral conflicts and ur student life when u would help others even when u had exam the next day and just made me do the right thing today if not for that maybe I would have just shut my conscience off. Also the threads have given a lot more logical perspective to things in life. Skr might not be perfect at times but I am ever indebted to what it has been to me through this thread. Before too I read newspapers but issues discussed in this forum Gave me a new insight to news. Most importantly though I am from a spiritually rooted family this thread has somehow led me to God, understand God his ways, his infinite compassion and manifestations. Mythology has always been my interest from very young age I have read mythological book the most in my life other than my school books. But what a saw here was a whole new world. I was introduced to God lead to God this time differently. Till 8th I was a topper in class but somehow in 9th just as shruthi Di says free will does not mean derilication of duty it had gone wrong and by January I set it right myself and somehow after that these analysis on ramayan I don't know somehow I have grown in spirituality and I have started to speak to god often and I have gained immense trust in him and confidence in me. i feel a difference in my prayer higher devotion after understanding. It is up to us to evolve on something I chose these threads and read mostly only shruthi di's analysis and somehow I have grown intellectualy. I am not really good in managing time so I can't plan out my studies in 10th and yet visit the page everyday. I keep visiting in weekends. Want to share some more but will come back during the weekend. Shruthi Di u had said in 3rd thread I think that someday all this should help us in life that was a vision Di. Thank u so much Di I just love ur critical analysis more than my studies am trying to cultivate as much love for my science and math. God bless u abundantly Di and keep doing the good work Di. Jhanvi Di I have loved ur work in dormantseed and here but I guess as u said mostly u have overanalysed than the CV's hope to see u back with ram Sita Milan and thanks Di for changing Hindi to English on my requests. Gowri Di I have read many of ur analysis not all but they are great Di. U have a systematic way of doing it. The discussions are great here and rudra is destructive Kali is destructive but together it is love was just bang on Di. Laxman is very complex still understanding him. I can see just like how people felt it was injustice that karna faced when mb was aired now laxman is evoking such reactions. And an humble request pls as I said this thread might be helping a lot more and let that be maintained and this thread is becoming like other threads. Pls pls don't start getting into the negatives. Stay to the point pls. Pls bear typos just today I wanted to pour out but only got the phone to do that as this was not even a part of my schedule
Thank you.
And for a child a mothers insult would make him boil. Conquering emotions is difficult and for laxman it was injustice to his bhabhi and bhaiya who were noble souls and that brought such reactions and we can learn lot from him. I know sulochana committed sati but beautiful analysis on how people mistook meaning in religious books just as ram said ahimsa can never achieved by himsa.
its my first most duty to serve you, everyone see vanar with bad sight, if anyone takes vanar's name at night, they don't get happiness by food, I m happy to serve you.
What does this mean ???? From update

Welcome back, Sanjana! It feels great to know that the analyses are helping everyone stay connected to our religious roots. We are trying to make this thread as positive as before, so I request you to come here more. More people, more the positive discussion! What Hanuman meant by that line was that vanars at that time were considered a lower species, like the demons and Bhils. He felt blessed that Ram didn't see him as a lower species, but as a well-wisher, devotee, and friend.

Today we saw the relation of a devotee and Lord, a sevak and Swami. What does Ram tell. He tells he will be indebted to Hanuman for the service he has rendered for him . He has bought news of Sita, he had saved Lakshman, he had saved them from Ahi Ravan's Maya, in short without his service the war couldn't have been won. To get such a friend, such a brother he treats it as his luck.

And what does Hanuman say. He says he only did his duty. The purpose of his life was Ram's seva. If Ram tells he is indebted to him then his seva will lose its meaning. He only wants to be in seva of Ram always. Support him in all his endeavours.

That is what our relation with God should be. God has sent us on this earth to do his seva. If you do his seva you will be elevated to his position just like Hanuman who is also worshipped. How will you know you are doing his Seva. If you are a true devotee, if you are connected to him when the opportunity presents itself to do his seva you will understand it. He has given you lot of special powers. All your special powers will be activated if you decide to do seva. Don't expect anything for Seva. Just do it to feel happy. Your rewards will come on time.

Now coming to Ravan. He is mad. He is thinking he has made Vishnu take the avatar as a man, go through jungles, allow his wife to be kidnapped to defeat him. So he is great. Seeing the misery of his enemy he thinks he is great.

Take Ram. He says Ravan has to be respected. Yes adharma is his karma, but his knowledge and valour they deserve praise and respect. Even in enemy Ram loves to take the positive traits, highlighting once again his war is not on person, but on his actions. If at any point he is willing to correct his actions he will be pardoned.
