I have read only Guha who helped Ram,Sita and Laxman to cross the river Ganga but in SKR they showed kevat (boatman) helped him and not the tribe king Guha directly.
I come across this story from bhagavatam and thought to share the same.

Thanks Ramya. Even I had heard only about Guha. But again my mother narrated this story as she said she heard it from her grand mother.
So I feel we who have read the original versions of Valmiki has missed on many folk tales. Actually my mom tells many things they show in SKR which I don't know.

Ramya thanks for sharing this. Now I am confused again. Yesterday Sita addressed him as Nishad Raj n I concluded that hence he should be Guha the tribal king of Kevati.

@Shruthi: Welcome dear.
I kind of like the show for presenting some hardly heard storyline.
My mother told that sita won't go with these jewels but only with those highlighting her sumangali status. The jewels which she drops during her kidnap were given by Anusuya. But in this version also its stated that she gives her ring. So its nice to know different perspectives.

@gmgi: Welcome dear.
Yes, u r right. It seems to be incorrect.
They missed the famous dialogue of Ram saying "with Guha we are 5 brothers" .

Ramya.. TFS 😊
I read on Kevat only after watching this version. The story of Guha is what I knew especially for his selfless friendship, love and respect he had for Shri Ram. Guha was ready to stand up to Bharath when he thought that Shri Ram could be harmed. He was another brother to Lakshman and Bharath.
Kevat was an innocent boat man whose sheer love and Bhakti won over God himself.

It would have been great to have seen these 2 different Bhaav presented.

They also missed out the dialog between guha and laxman.
Plus showing nishad as a one man army was funny.
One boat one man. Dry back drop on the banks of ganga.

Kevat n nishadraj are fused into one many a time but the narration is not compromised. Even when they r fused, all the conversations between guha n lakshmana and guha n rama are shown.

Also rama gets emotional when leaving boundaries of Ayodhya. And sita praying to Ganga for a safe return.

@Jai: One man army😆. Yes, CVs could have shown this in a much better way. What to do? They are quite busy in shooting and editing pasamalar😉
