She knew she may fall prey to something if she cross the line but she took the calculative risk by underestimating the demon power.

Jaya I agree to an extent..
Since Vishnu n Laxmi were living as humans.. so sita fell in the trap.. unknowingly...
I m just saying that to make sita/laxmi a bait was a part of the plan by vishnu-laxmi to vanquish ravan n the entire rakshash jaati

Janhavi ,this SKR has indeed been an excellent visual bonanza for us .The writing has most often been at par or even enhancing the scenes. I have tried to describe the colors and their significance of the three major places in the serial. I also realized that it would be incomplete if I don't correlate it to three gunas, so here goes:
MITHILA
The colors of Mithila reflects the nature of its king and his subjects. The drought ridden earth forces a king to make a golden plough {here gold represents both purity of thoughts and sanctity of actions}that is needed to pacify both the Earth and the unrelenting power of the sun. First the earth shows her appreciation by giving the king her child wrapped in Red symbolizing an auspicious beginning as well a blessing; then the sky reinforces this by letting the much needed rain to engulf the whole of Mithila. The King and Queen are in tones of Ivory and beige that again stand for calmness and simplicity.
The palace is completely enveloped in various forms of the tones of the earth and nature. It has brown as its main component and brown stands for simplicity, comfort, Stability, endurance. The other colors that are often repeated in the dcor are sandle wood yellow and maroon; the yellow symbolizing learning and the maroon ,is all about confidence and strength. The golden color used in the dcor and ornaments are muted in tone{except the pre marriage and post marriage scenes in Mithila} completely in tune with the muted tones of the inhabitants' attire. The green fields represents harmony, peace and prosperity. And Janhavi, how can we forget the mountain summit scene between Ram and Sita with the pink{acceptance and tenderness}, orange{balance and warmth} and yellow{idealism and hope} sky. Really a visual treat wasn't it?
Now looking at the colors and the general demeanor of its people, we can easily correlate it with the Sattvika Guna for its balance and moderation.
Ayodhya
The fluidity of Mithila gives way to the rigidity of Ayodhya, both in its structure and demeanor. The palace made of stone seems to embody the qualities of endurance and strength. The colors both in dcor and attires are bolder, vivid and bright. The muted gold tone {representing enlightenment}of Mithila changes to the stronger gold{representing energy prosperity, wealth, prestige} in Ayodhya. The queens' wear more vivid colors. The colors like dark Blue{represents vastness, sincerity, reserved} and even darker purple{ representing a mix of the energy of red and the spirituality of blue}are used often.
All these tones and hues correlate to the Rajas guna for its energy and vibrance.
LANKA
The palace seems to made of dark grey stone representing isolation and strength. The ocean surrounding Lanka is a turbulent, violent and unrelenting amalgamation of blue and grey with no discerning color. All its main inhabitants are attired in black or colors with darker hues. Black in its extremity often stands for unapproachability as well as intimidation. Even the brighter attire of its queen and some other ladies is overshadowed by the dark minds and even darker actions of Ravan and his cohorts. The gold unlike in Mithila and Ayodhya takes on a hard excessive glitter highlighting its egoistic and evil aspect.
These tones correlate to the 'tamas guna'.
One more thing I noticed was the Raj sabha in all these three places. The raj sabha of Mithila has skylights with the sun beaming in softly and the seats are closer to the earth symbolizing a perfect communion of knowledge ,power and spirituality.
In Ayodhya it is well lit and the sun shines with more intensity and energy. The seats are higher than in Mithila, but the feet still touches the ground symbolizing the balance between power and righteousness.
In lanka it was quite dark and gloomy with the seats on a very high plane symbolizing that power exists without righteousness or even knowledge.
I hope I have given you a lucid post on the significance of colors, Janhavi.

DD loved your analysis of yesterdays episode. Me too missing Shruthi badly. Savitha the analysis on colour themes in Mythila, Ayodhya n Lanka and connecting it with the 3 gunas was⭐️. Wow!!!

Regarding the Ek Anek concept which Ayodha thrives on I agree with u DD.

In Ayodhya the power was with the people. The Raja was their sevak. The people had freedom of opinion. In Lanka it is dictatorship. It is "my way or the highway."

Ayodhya understood women being power n knowledge as the supporting pillar of home. If the women leads a wayward life it will lead to the deterioration of society. So women were subjugated. This is were Ayodhya differs from Mithila isn't it? Mithila gave their women knowledge n they lead a disciplined life using their freewill.
But the laws or rules of a society cannot be rigid. When it is unjust it need to be broken. The same punishment cannot be meted to an innocent and a culprit. The tears of the innocent will not go in vain. It will bite you back as karma.
If instead of changing the rule you go on sacrificing 1 for many then the sacrifices will just get bigger n bigger until the change happens.

SIYA KE RAM- 26/04

Guys am running out of time.. Too much work..

Best scenes as per me were hanuman saving the kid and jatayu telling the story of his brother.

These two scenes touched me really deep.

First the kid committing suicide. I think elders really need a training nowadays to how to deal with kids. Especially regarding societal pressures and the so called rat race. Everyone doesnt love to run...
This hit me real hard cz I was shocked at pratyusha's death. I got to know of it on 2nd April. That was the tym when I was too much into my pending jobs. I don't know why she did it. I wonder what made her take this step. A girl merely 24 yrs old hangs herself to death.
Today am glad they took up a kid. That too with great dialogues.. The way he said I am leading an aimless life..

And this is so true.. One thinks and commits such blunders when one thinks that they are good for nothing. Positivity goes out and what remains is a web of endless questions.

Parents, peers, teachers and society in general really need to understand this DEPRESSION doesnt happen in a day. And making it a taboo of mental disease is SICK 😡

I really had appreciated deepika when she opened up about her issues of depression at a press conference.

Privacy is definitely a valid point. But when u wanna open up and share your problems, experiences and lessons you actually help at least one life out of the millions of those who might be dealing with similar things.

We fear. We fear about everything. To express, to share, to trust. Whenever I pen down anything related to my life or blog, one question lingers in my mind always, who will read this? There's an access to billions of ppl around. What if anyone tries to take an undue advantage of same? What if my journey backfires me one day, staring at my naked eyes? What if my parents know that I have opened up many chapters of my life on a public forum? What if my friends and acquaintances stumble upon this and know me in and out? What if tomorrow a stranger comes and tells me that they know everything about me?

The questions are endless.. With meaning, without meaning.

Social stigma, unreliable ppl and many dark faces make us think 100 times before we speak our mind. What will my parents think? What will my teachers think? What will my friends think? What if my social account is hacked? What if smthn amiss happens with me?

On the contrary parents and teachers know many things. They also have experienced life, gone thru similar things that their kids go thru. Why don't they share their experiences with their kids? Wgt dong they give an assurance to their kids that they can be trusted? Why don't kids open up to their parents? Today I really wanna ask this question to every mother on this thread, do u give that chance of freedom to them? Freedom doesnt mean giving permissions for sleepovers or parties or earning money or education. It also means freedom of expression..

Why even today every 7 of 10 ppl face depression and inferiority?

Why does everyone has to think 100 times before sharing their pain? Is it that difficult?

As per my experience, sharing your problems with a stranger works many times. Reason? Cz u won't be judged.. U try doing the same with ur parents or friends. A back answer is ready. "Tum aise hi ho tumse nahi hoga." "Ur mood swings are terrible. Kabhi idhar Kabhi udhar. Kuch fix hi nahi toh success kaise milega?"

Today the kid sharing his problem with hanuman made me 👏

U never know maybe that stranger has the solution to ur problem or is facing a similar situation. And if 2+2=4 happens its BINGO!!!

But what about the other way round?

One thing. Accept it early. The world is cruel. Life is unfair. But u have to sail. Ppl will pull u down. Life will throw lemons at u. The choice is urs. You can either succumb to their demands or open the book of ur life and laugh at it.. What works in the long run are guts and wisdom..

Cmn to the next scene jatayu's story..

I loved it. Especially the use of "comparison" and "competition".

This is so so applicable in this era.. We degrade our values by comparing ourselves with others. Everyone has a plus and a minus. Accept it gracefully and enjoy both ur strengths as well as ur weaknesses.

EDITED:

I came across a beautiful line from an old show. And it has touched deep.

" iss duniya mein sabse bada rishta dard ka hota hai."

Humanity needs this lesson today.. Very much..
