I doubt it; everything Lakshman-related is rushed or not shown at all.

Don't you know? Strong women always make every single situation about them, because that's what women's rights are all about!

The concept of Sita as a selfless woman is totally lost in this show. It's all about making Sita appear superior by reducing the greatness of everyone else.

The way Sita talked to her family in Mithila is radically different to the way she talks to her family in Ayodhya.

In Mithila, she was so respectful to her parents and even when she expressed an opposing view, she did it respectfully. In Ayodhya, she sounds so superior and at times, harsh and rude too.

Exactly Janaki.
Add egotistic and self-righteous, and we have StarSita. Oh, how the real Sita Ma must be with the way everyone has changed her character from a strong woman, to either a weak woman, or a superior egotist. Oh my poor Sita Ma! 😭

She is not egoistic all of a sudden. This show has portrayed her as the main protagonist. Fair enough. Remember she gives lot of gyan(positive) that Ram would otherwise say.

I found her reply to Kausalya and Sumitra ok. Its just that the setting was wrong. In front of everyone.

BTW, in Valmikiya she cries unable to wear the valkal given by Kaikeyi. In front of all other women, Rama ties it for her after she repeatedly fails to do so.

In SKR we get Sita tying it for Rama. Again, role reversal.

And Valmiki's Sita is sterner. She says to Rama, 'I thought I was given in marriage to a warrior. I didnt know my father married me to a woman in man's dress'. This she says in frustration after repeatedly pleading and crying with him.

None of that is shown.

Sorry to say this,,,but please can people not use such harsh words like egoistic and what not for the character SITA...I know u call her Star SITA but we regard her as Devi or goddess so its better we use some other way to criticize her...

StarSita is not Goddess Sita, and if she resembled Goddess Sita even a bit, we wouldn't call her egoistic, but no one here is criticizing Goddess Sita. We all are devotees of Lord Ram and Goddess Sita, which is why we are expressing frustration with her inaccurate portrayal in the show.

If it is hurting you for her to be called egoistic, imagine how much it is hurting us to see Lord Ram and Goddess Sita's characters in the show being reduced to a typical soapy couple with filmy romance. Is that not disrespectful to the Gods themselves? Many of us are hurt by such a portrayal, because we revere these characters as Gods. They are like our parents, and the dialogues they receive in the show, the scenes they have to enact in the name of romance, is offensive to us.

None of us would even imagine calling Goddess Sita egoistic. It is the characterization of StarSita we have an objection with.

We dont feel any divine connection to the show..the cv's have not been able to portray it.. So, doesnt matter as it has turned out to be another soap, but where we know how the story will turn out
